I have BB 9780 and 8520.I can connect to my wifi at work and it works perfectly with the little bb logo showing.However at home, i can connect to the wifi, but can not get on the internet.i have tried re-setting my wifi router and also resetting my BB phones to factory default nothing seems to work though. All other devices at home (pc, mac, iphone, ipad other nokia phones etc) works semalessly at home wifi.
View 2 RepliesMy daughter bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 from Carphone Warehouse with a Vodaphone PAYG Sim in it. She got BBM to work fine with me and a number of her friends. After a few weeks, I bought her a pay monthly SIM and got her original PAYG number transferred across to the Pay Monthly SIM. Since then, she hasn't been able to get BBM to work. All her friend requests are 'Pending Authorisation' and she cannot send or receive messages. The Internet is also not working, although she hadn't tried that until now, so I don't know whether it was working before. Text and voice calls are, and always have been, fine.
Battery pull Changing all permissions to allow for both core and add-on apps Deleting eaach other's contacts and trying to add them again Checking the vendor ID, which is showing as 301, which I gather is Carphone Warehouse (not sure whether this should be Vodaphone or Carphone Warehouse?)
My internet appears to have stopped working on my Curve 8520. My internet browser is not working, it takes ages to load, the blue bar at the bottom saying 'requesting' is there for ages and then comes up with the notification "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." None of the apps involving internet are working either - BBM, Facebook, Whats App etc. I have already done the whole resend service books thing and that hasn't helped.

It is not my data plan as I have topped up £10 and have my 300 texts and 100mb internet until Jan 27th 2012 until I have to top up again.My wifi says its connected as it is white but clearly does not work. I have not yet contacted Orange but want to try different solution.I have gone to Host Routing Table and 'registered now' but then it says I'm registered with my wireless.Taken the battery out for a while etc...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI brought my BlackBerry a few weeks back, and brought the Data Plan (£5 for BBM, Internet etc for 1 month)... IT was working PERFECTLY until yesterday Morning... I woke up, checked my BBM as usual, Ended all the chats that were Broadcast Messages blah blah blah, and went to speak to one of my Contacts on BBM... THe message wouldnt send... I thought it's probably just slow or something.... Yet im still having the same problems now... Nearly 2 days it hasnt worked now, and it's getting very annoying!
Features that are being affected are;
- BBM
- Facebook App
- App World
- Browser
This is one message I usally get while trying to use the Browser:
"Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later.
If the problem persists please contact your service provider."
Another thing that's really annoyed me is the fact that most people with a Similar problem to my has "gprs" in Lower Case letters, yet i have "GPRS" in Capitals, yet still not working.. I admit, on the rare occasion i can send a message but it takes ages, usually about 30 minutes. No matter where I go, whether it's my house, the woods, the town, anywhere, im getting the same problem, whereas before, I could go anywhere, including those 3 place and it would be FINE!!
I've done everything I could, Battery Removal, Wipe, SImple turned the Mobile Network off, then back on... NOTHING is helping!!

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 which has been working normally for nearly a year now. Yesterday morning I found that most things were not working. I also found icons for 'music sync' and games on there that weren't there before, which I have since removed. I don't know whether this is related in any way.
My twitter app says 'Twitter services are currently unavailable', my facebook app says 'A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server', my browser says 'Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider.' My BBM messages are not sending to others and when I try and send an email, the red X appears and the message status is 'Service blocked'.
This is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success
2) Resend service books - no success
I am at ends with the situation.
I cannot connect to the internet, when I click on the brower it doesn't do anything. When I go into my Blackberry App world it seems liked it is locked as all it says is "signing up" and it will not allow me to close the browser for that

On BBM, whenever I try to send a message, the little red clock just appears, and I'm not seeing anybody's recent updates. My emails aren't coming through & none of the internet based apps are working. I've tried the hard reboot and reinstalling all the apps but nothing has worked.I've also done the Host Routing Table registration stuff but have not recieved any message. Tried trouble shooting the camera and was able to get it to work momentarily by putting my finger in front of the flash but that only allowed me to take black photos so i think the lense is shot. This is my 2nd handset, repairs could not fix first phone with same problem. 02 suggested change the sim card.Sim was changed and the same problem persists.
I am using BB Curve 8520, I use gprs which normally works fine. But gprs generally gets disconnected while I move up and down in my office using the lift. i.e. when the mobile network gets disconnected/connected, internet connection fails to work. It starts working fine again if I do a reboot of the BB, which generally takes minutes.
