May 3, 2010The internet browser on my phone has not been working. Everytime I try to load a page, it doesn't finish loading. What could be the problem?

View 4 RepliesOut of the blue today my browser just stopped working. My camera also doesnt work any longer. Tried trouble shooting the camera and was able to get it to work momentarily by putting my finger in front of the flash but that only allowed me to take black photos so i think the lense is shot. I can live without the camera.But i cannot live without the browser. i get the message unable to connect to the internet please try again laterI can still download apps fromblackberry app world, play music from my apps, use apps. get email, bb messenger works. texting etc. I can connect through wifi or the network.I have tried cleaning out the cache, doing diagnosis of the mobile network, battery pull. running out of ideas
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using the bold 9700 for a few months now and love it. My brother decided to buy the same phone yesterday, in the new white color. He hasn't been able to download anything, such as app world. We also discovered that there is no internet browser besides web2go. When I tried to change his default browser to simply "internet browser", that was not an option; it was only web2go or hotspot browser. T-mobile is closed today b/c of holiday, so hopefully someone here can help me! Does anyone have any insight?

NO WAY WITH 3G.All other apps works perfectly after the upadate to OS6: facebook, windows live messenger, emails push, beweather, google maps, poynt and so on...
View 6 Replies View Relatedits been a month and still my blackberry bold 9700 internet is not working good.everytime when im using it , it'll work but if i didnt use it for awhile , it'll stop working . everytime i try to anysite, it'll be like loading but than it'll close the tab and put me back to homepage and bookmarks.everytime i have to restart my bb than i can use it again, maybe like everyday upto 10times i had 2 restart the fone which kills my battery very fast?

View 5 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry has worked fine in the couple of months i have had it, however a few weeks ago the browser and bbm completely stopped working. i took the battery and sim out and then when i put them back in it worked fine again.a few days ago the same thing happened, i tried taking the sim out again and it didnt work, have done it a few times. i rang o2 and they suggested putting it on to manual network and try connecting again, have also done this a few times and it still hasnt worked. i have the right plan and pay to get unlimited browsing, it usually is fine but stopped working randomly.

It says 'Requesting' along bottom and watch bar slowly move across, then it eventually says:'Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your administrator'I've gone into a Bell store and after taking the battery out and back in(which I told him I'd already tried to no avail), he suggested its because my system is on v.5 and that I should go home plug it in and update it. Went home, plugged it in and 'no updates available'.Have now resorted to support forum solutions as its a business phone and can't let it get sent away even though I pay extra every month for the service plan. Have tried the Service Books recommendation and no change.

Bolt works for me but browser does not. I can't even change my default browser to browser anymore or even change it to bolt. It just gives me option of hotspot and web2go. How do I fix this problem? Going to HRT and registering still will not give me my browser back or the option to pick it as default browser like I previously had.
View 12 Replies View RelatedOn my 9700 i can open the browser, and type in links or whatever i want into it, however once the new site shows up, it will no longer let me do anything. If i go to google i can type in what i want to search but then when i hit enter it doesnt respond, same as if i try to click on the search icon it doesnt do anything. If once on any page i can move the arrow around just unable to click or do anything else and if i need to reinstall browser please let me know what my options are.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success
2) Resend service books - no success
I am at ends with the situation.
i have a 9700 unlocked Rogers phone on Tmobile now, I have the 50$ plan plus 10 BIS service, I came home to Canada and turned my phone on wifi and turned of the mobile network so i dont use all my minutes, I have been here since Friday june 24 and my phone has been working fine. Now today all of a sudden everything stops working i can make and recieve calls on my blackberry but no internet no bbm no google talk nothing, I called tech support they are putting out a ticket...ya right...they told me to check my HOST ROUTING TABLE IT SAYS "NO ENTIRES" I did a wipe of my phone nothing, my wifi wont work <removed>..

I have a Curve 8900 with a Vodafone corporate account. It is running software v5. For some weeks now, I have been unable to access the internet via the blackberry browser (I can access via Vodafone WAP and can recieve e-mails via corporate account, but not google mail) and any apps using this browser have also stopped working. I get various error messages 'a communication failure has occurred', 'device unable to connect to internet'.

However, I was successful getting the internet from my handset browser but not from the applications like Email, Gmail, GTalk, Sony Ericsson Sync, and Market. I've got the notification icon for EDGE data transmission and is being indicated when accessed from the browser but not from the applications. Do I need to do any other setting in order to access the internet from the applications?

My e-mail has been set up and i can receive mails only, but not send them. The error code: YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIGURATION SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES, or when I try and send an e-mail, NO MESSAGE SERVICE CONFIGURATION appears, despite re-sending service book codes, plus also turning my phone off, and taking the battery off several times whilst in the O2 shop and then at home when on the phone to customer services.The people at my network are stumped, and so am I!Please, any solutions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince the big crash last week, although my email, messaging etc has been restored, my Internet browser is incredibly slow. It loads evcentually, but it is very time consuming and inefficient. Messaging is fine - general phone connectivity is ok as well. It isn't the network connection as I have been all over the place in the last few days and it has beenb the same wherever I am. It isn't my home internet as my PC and husband's phone (non BB) is browsing the Net without issue.I've cleared my history, cookies, cache, changed my browsing settings to untick images etc to try and speed things up but it is no better. Oddly the Facebook and Twitter Apps seem to be ok, but the actual browser facility seems to be defunct. I've done the soft reset, and even powered off and removed the battery over night.

I currently have the original Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon, and the browser works off of my signal. So whenever I have a signal, I have internet. Is this new Bold the same way? My sister has it and we were in the car today and it said internet coverage was not found. I was just curious if it was strictly JUST wifi or if it runs off the signal AND wifi. If somebody could help clear it up for me that would be great.

( I do not have data plan) But Browser would not open. and leaves a message "your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Serive Book entries". I've tried going to rogers and fido and all, but they all suggests me to go call them instead. Therefore, I did but I ended up calling different departments, but neither of them could get me to the right department. and I'm sick of being pushed around.
