Jun 17, 2010
Sometimes when I'm on the internet browser the trackpad won't select items and I have to use the enter key does this happen to anyone else? Also why does this happen and what can I do about it?
its been a month and still my blackberry bold 9700 internet is not working good.everytime when im using it , it'll work but if i didnt use it for awhile , it'll stop working . everytime i try to anysite, it'll be like loading but than it'll close the tab and put me back to homepage and bookmarks.everytime i have to restart my bb than i can use it again, maybe like everyday upto 10times i had 2 restart the fone which kills my battery very fast?
My internet browser is not working. The error says uncaught exception: shared webkit instance unavailable: null. checked manage connections and it saysStatus: Available Connection: Mobile NetworkNot sure what else to do.
Out of the blue today my browser just stopped working. My camera also doesnt work any longer. Tried trouble shooting the camera and was able to get it to work momentarily by putting my finger in front of the flash but that only allowed me to take black photos so i think the lense is shot. I can live without the camera. But i cannot live without the browser. i get the message unable to connect to the internet please try again laterI can still download apps fromblackberry app world, play music from my apps, use apps. get email, bb messenger works. texting etc. I can connect through wifi or the network.I have tried cleaning out the cache, doing diagnosis of the mobile network, battery pull. running out of ideas
I have a Curve 8900 with a Vodafone corporate account. It is running software v5. For some weeks now, I have been unable to access the internet via the blackberry browser (I can access via Vodafone WAP and can recieve e-mails via corporate account, but not google mail) and any apps using this browser have also stopped working. I get various error messages 'a communication failure has occurred', 'device unable to connect to internet'.
The internet browser on my phone doesnt work, when I try and load up a website it just says it is unable to do it even though I have credit for internet on my phone, also when trying to connect with wifi it comes up it is connected but with no signal, and does the same thing when trying to open the browser.
my BB turned off itself and then when i turned on the browser was different (it doesnt show my favorites or my home page. Just shows a not-working browser and the rest is blank.) any search i make doesnt works i cant even open my emails or facebook notifications on the messages thing. Also i cant close the internet browser with the "back" button.
I've recently bought the Xperia X10 mini handset and since it was unable to download the settings from my service provider, I had to manually do the APN setup. However, I was successful getting the internet from my handset browser but not from the applications like Email, Gmail, GTalk, Sony Ericsson Sync, and Market. I've got the notification icon for EDGE data transmission and is being indicated when accessed from the browser but not from the applications. Do I need to do any other setting in order to access the internet from the applications?
When I try to go to a website, it simply says "loading" but the page never actually shows up. What I've tried so far: Battery pull; minor browser configuration changes (like changing the recognition from BlackBerry to Firefox); checking for updates. Blackberry Curve 8530 v5.0.0.654.
As mentioned above, I am missing internet connectivity for the applications that I have installed or were installed by Nokia. The mobile-built in browser and e.g. downloading of applications work fine via the GPRS network! My mobile is hooked up to the Austrian bob network.
The web browser is not working on my Pearl.I am with O2 and have been in the O2 shop for an hour today and on the phone to various people at customer services and still no joy on my Blackberry problem. The internet browser is not working. My e-mail has been set up and i can receive mails only, but not send them. The error code: YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIGURATION SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES, or when I try and send an e-mail, NO MESSAGE SERVICE CONFIGURATION appears, despite re-sending service book codes, plus also turning my phone off, and taking the battery off several times whilst in the O2 shop and then at home when on the phone to customer services. The people at my network are stumped, and so am I!Please, any solutions?
I recently unlocked my 8520 from t-mobile to at&t, i have the data plan with both providers. After i started using the 8520 on the at&t network i noticed that i cannot change my setting from hotspot browser to internet browser anymore which in turn i cannot use the data service with at&t that i am paying for. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.
I bought BB 8900 from T-Mobile without bb plan a few days ago. How can I get BlackBerry browser or Internet Browser, because my bb has only hotspot browser? Can I get them without bb plan?
For the past couple of days, I've been unable to use my BB's Browser or GPS functions. Whenever I try to connect to the BB Browser, I get a timeout error. None of my bookmarks are able to connect either. I've tried switching between the different settings in browser configuration settings (BIS, hotspot, wifi, IE, Firefox, etc) to no avail. I also have a wifi set up at home and even though it was working flawlessly a couple of days ago, it will no longer connect to any wifi. In addition, the GPS function is not working on any of the apps that use GPS (Both BB and Google maps, weatherbug, poynt).
Here's the kicker: Everything else is working great. I'm getting all of my emails from all of the emails I have configured with the device (my work email through the BES, forwarded from a comcast address, and from my *@vzw.blackberry.net address) and all of my apps seem to be working fine. I've got facebook, ubertwitter, ebay, weatherbug, poynt, and a couple of others and they're all able to update wirelessly.
I've tried going through a new enterprise activation, I've updated everything through the desktop manager, and I've re-registered the device on the network. I'm iffy on whether I've actually pushed all of the service books to the device again because I can't login here: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw. Whenever I try to, it tells me I have use my device's BIS. Well, that's my problem. I can't use my device's BIS. Also, I have one WiFi host routing table and about a hundred Verizon host routing tables. I'm not sure which ones I should delete, as I've read, in order to get it download a new one.
The only thing I've really noted that appears to be a problem is that when I go to Options -> Status, the device's IP Address is 0.0.0.0. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be like that or not. I know from regular internet usage on a desktop, if you don't have an ip address on the network, you can't get on the internet. Does that ring true for the BB as well?
My browser has stopped responding, or takes a very long time to respond when I press the 'menu' button (the one that's the BlackBerry logo). Whilst I can still open it, and return to the home screen, and visit links from other apps, I can't access the menu, or go back to the previous page I was browsing.
2days ago my internet browser on my blackberry 8520 stopped working now i cant get on the internet on my phone at all.
Is this a problem with blackberry or my network service because every other app tht requires internet is working fine, i receive my emails fine and bbm is still working aswell as other im sevices
i'm running an unlocked Storm 9550 on t-mobile. Since I updated to the 1656 bundle I've completely lost my internet browser, email, or any other data use. Literally all this phone can do now is text and ring. I tried reverting to the last bundle which didnt help (updated again to the new bundle now), have tried registering in the host routing table, every time it sends the message but still no entries. have tried countless reboots, deleted the Wi-Fi things in the service book and still no good. The browser only gives the option of hotspot browser. Does anyone have any sort of solution for this? Seeing as I'm paying for internet and emails I should be able to use them.
My Blackberry Torch cannot connect to the internet browser today. I am in Ajax which is just east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The e-mail and maps work, but not the internet. I am on a regular monthly plan and don't believe that I have changed any settings.
My s5 won't keep a default internet browser. I keep having to pick between chrome, internet, and dolphin. Especially in Google Search. It's annoying that I have to set a browser everytime.
Basically, ever since I got my BB in Oct 2010, the BB browser has been working fine. But only recently I can't use it properly because its menu has randomly disappeared. What I mean is, is that there's that button you press to get the menu (the BB logo button) on BlackBerry. I press that on the browser and what that now does is that it makes my cursor vanish from the screen and it shows no menu on the browser.True, I can use the browser shortcuts (for example, R means refresh) but there are so many I have to remember and I don't want to do that. All I want is to press the menu button and for the menu to appear.I've restarted it, nothing happened.I do have another, faster browser (BOLT) but you can't watch videos on there.I use the BB browser to watch videos and also other things. Is there any way to fix this problem or can it be possible to delete and reinstall the BB browser?
I am recieving a message every time i try to acces a website on my phone, it keeps on saying "this is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connectionand try again, i have tried to change it from hotspot browser to internet service browser but i cant do it
I was having troubles accessing a ringtone that I downloaded today, so I called my Carrier and they helped me access the ringtone. They had me change my Internet Browser on my BlackBerry Curve 8330 to WAP so I could get the ringtone. They told me how to swtich it back to Internet Browser, but it won't switch back, it's locked on WAP! I do have a subscription for Internet Browsing on my BlackBerry, can't seem to figure out the problem.
There is no browser installed on my bb. I have installed the bb desktop software, but it shows that no browser is there on bb, it does not show how to install it.
I really hope, that i will find an answer to my issue in here. So the issue is with ZOOM in browser in ICS. As all of may know, in GB we had an opportunity to ZOOM in or out by touching the bottom right side of the screen and after that appeared the small panel with +- buttons for zoom. Now, in ICS at least I don't have it ( maybe it's my particular problem) . I really confused because of it coz i often used this kind of zoom to read some kind of articles and it helped to reflow the text if text size was uncomfortable. With multitouch zoom text doesn't reflow...and this ***** to me.
Since the big crash last week, although my email, messaging etc has been restored, my Internet browser is incredibly slow. It loads evcentually, but it is very time consuming and inefficient. Messaging is fine - general phone connectivity is ok as well. It isn't the network connection as I have been all over the place in the last few days and it has beenb the same wherever I am. It isn't my home internet as my PC and husband's phone (non BB) is browsing the Net without issue.I've cleared my history, cookies, cache, changed my browsing settings to untick images etc to try and speed things up but it is no better. Oddly the Facebook and Twitter Apps seem to be ok, but the actual browser facility seems to be defunct. I've done the soft reset, and even powered off and removed the battery over night.
