BB Tour :: No Internet Browser Installed?
Feb 2, 2012There is no browser installed on my bb. I have installed the bb desktop software, but it shows that no browser is there on bb, it does not show how to install it.

Jan 21, 2010I am having a huge issues with my e-mail/internet and text messaging capabilities with my tour plus the phone constantly shuts off. I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

Oct 26, 2011Before moving to Rwanda I purchased a BB 9630 through Sprint, my US provider. Upon arriving in Rwanda, October 7, I took the phone to MTN Rwanda. They put in a sim card and everything worked perfect: browser, emails, etc. On October 20 I quit receiving emails and could no longer access internet.

Feb 16, 2010Having a problem with my Yari and selecting internet settings - the phone simply won't select any internet settings! Everytime a connection is made to the internet, the phone asks for me to choose what internet settings to install.I have sent the settings to the phone from both Sony Ericsson (SE) Website and Optus (operator in Australia). I receive these ok, but settings don't install. No issue with streaming settings.
The phone will not connect to the operator to download settings for MMS/WAP/Internet.
It is similar in nature to this older post:

Steps taken to attempt to resolve:
1. Manual internet settings
2. Operator provided internet settings
3. SE provided internet settings
4. Master reset
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 - same issue.
SE in Australia suggested Master Reset and then code update, which I will try tonight. Other than that, return to retailer.Any one have any suggestions? Hardware or software fault?
BB Tour :: Facebook Installed But Cannot Find
Aug 13, 2012I attempted to update to a new version of Facebook, but after updating I couldn't find it listed anywhere. I then went into AppWorld and installed it again. When I now go into AppWorld it says "Installed" but again I cannot find it. (I have never downloaded anything in AppWorld anymore.)

Mar 21, 2010What app is the best way to browse the internet on blackberry? Surfing the web is horrible on my Tour. I love everything about my blackberry except surfing the net. I play with my wife's iphone and the internet is night and day. I know that the internet will never be as good as the iphone, but it would be nice to surf websites a little better on the blackberry. Is there a great internet app? Regular blackberry internet app is not that great. Some would say if I want to surf the web then get an iphone, but I am addicted to my blackberry. Love the superfast email, and BBM. Does anyone really use their blackberry for surfing the internet?

May 25, 2010I did a search on this couldn't find exactly what I needed. Heres the scoop, never had any battery issues with my tour before, I'm running .419 with a Driphter hybrid, I've had this running for a few months now never had drain issues till recently. I wake up to find my phone drained from meterberry reading 68% when I went to bed to 5% when I woke up. I have not installed any new apps. The phone seems to take extremely long to charge and I am draining on average between 15% and above 20% at times I can't figure out what happened. You think its time for a new battery?

Mar 9, 2011I always used the program Nokia Internet Radio on my E51.Trying to update the software, I uninstalled from the phone.I went to the link in Ovi Store, and I began the installation: it tells me"Nokia Internet Update 1.00(1)".It seems all ok, but, after "Completed Installation", the phone proposes me to delete"Internet Radio" (probably the same application?) and the old icon of the programdoes nothing.I don't see any new icon in the InstalledPrograms folder.

With the T-Mobile wireless broadband I can browse stations, but when trying to play a station it states "Playback Failed". When trying to connect through my w/lan (which works, as I can use it to browse the internet) the "Internet Radio Applet" states "No Network Connection". After trying this several times I have uninstalled the applet from the phone memory and installed it again in the 8 GB mass memory. No change - the same problems persist. If the Problem persists please contact your administrator." I have pull the battery out for 1min and rebooted. Resent service books.
and gone into Options -->advanced system setting --> host routing Table --> enter --> register. I received the email through from blackberry, went back into the browser and I still get the above message.

B. don't use their native browser to click on the link much to notice?For me, it takes 3 to 4 attempts to click on a link to work and using a third party browser isn't an option for me with a 5.0 OS since opera mini 4.2 version does not work and the 5.0 version sucks with scrolling. Bolt browser is not that great for me either.

Oct 1, 2011This morning I couldn't remember my device password and I had to wipe my blackberry as a result. P.S. Could have sworn someone reset it for me via Blackberry network once, but could be wrong-- couldn't find any forum regarding that.After my data was wiped I reloaded my contacts via an app called Lookout Mobile. B-Berry was being fickle so I let it charge alone for a while to blow off some steam. Restarted our unrequited relationship this afternoon only to find a number of problems.
First, foremost, and probably the center of all problems is that I have no access to the internet or any app that uses the internet. I don't even have a browser icon. I called my wireless service provider and I unwittingly performed every one of their tasks only to find that they don't understand my problem.
I have battery pulled. I have done the host table. I have done diagnostics. I can't seem to find the problem. They also made me download the blackberry desktop software-- obviously should have used it hindsight, but does no good to me as a solution to this particular problem.When I try to access something like the Facebook app, it tells me, " You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application.connect to a Wi-Fi network or contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan."
BB Tour :: Unlocked It In Colombia-browser Won't Show Up
Mar 19, 2011I've got an unlocked Verizon Tour that I'm trying to use in Colombia.I can currently make/receive calls and send and receive texts but I can't find my dad gum browser.

v4.7.1.61(Platform 4.1.0.81)
Carrier: Comcel
I had the phone wiped entirely clean yesterday because my phone was acting weird and wouldn't make calls(although it would receive them). Anyway, that fixed the problem there. Then I signed up for the data plan for a day to try it out, it immediately said I was connected, and still does when I check. I just simply don't have any way to access the internet and the only option I have when I want to set up email is using the blackberry email. When I go to "manage connections" it tells me I'm connected to Comcel and that my mobile data is "on". It does however say I'm not connected to Blackberry Internet Server or the Blackberry Enterprise server. I think these are different than regular internet though.
Things I've tried:Hard Reset Pulling the battery for 30 seconds while the phone was on Going to options>advanced options>host routing table>and clicking register now Tried toggling between network selection mode A and B(I have no idea what that is, but thought it might do something)
