I just changed my data plan on Sasktel in Canada to unlimited yesterday and today I noticed that I do not have a browser any more. The browser is listed in the application list but it's not on my phone.1. Battery pulls2. Showing all hidden icons (it's not there)3. resending service books4. I ran a diagnostic under the mobile network options screen and it said "connected to blackberry: no"

Im not 100% sure what happened to it, today I got a brand new 9300 and I connected it to my wi-fi connection and I visited a few pages, after that I put my sim card into it topped my phone up and connected my phone to the BIS as I only set up the BIS today I have to wait for upto 24 hours for it to work, in this space of time my browser icon has dissapeared completely it still appears in Core Applications but I have looked in every folder i have and cannot find it or how I could get it back?

Could have sworn someone reset it for me via Blackberry network once, but could be wrong-- couldn't find any forum regarding that.After my data was wiped I reloaded my contacts via an app called Lookout Mobile. B-Berry was being fickle so I let it charge alone for a while to blow off some steam. Restarted our unrequited relationship this afternoon only to find a number of problems.
First, foremost, and probably the center of all problems is that I have no access to the internet or any app that uses the internet. I don't even have a browser icon. I called my wireless service provider and I unwittingly performed every one of their tasks only to find that they don't understand my problem.
I have battery pulled. I have done the host table. I have done diagnostics. I can't seem to find the problem. They also made me download the blackberry desktop software-- obviously should have used it hindsight, but does no good to me as a solution to this particular problem.When I try to access something like the Facebook app, it tells me, " You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application.connect to a Wi-Fi network or contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan."
I just got my tour after doing my 30 day exchange from the curve 8530. i'm in love! i have a question though. i have an icon on my browser (picture attached, it's the one that looks like a box with two green boxes around it) and i was wondering if it's normal and what it means?Also, my clock when I enter bedside mode is aligned to the right more so than in the middle. Anyone else's look like this?

The browsers I used for the last two weeks are now doing this ?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having a huge issues with my e-mail/internet and text messaging capabilities with my tour plus the phone constantly shuts off. I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

My 9105 3G phone's Internet Browser logo has disappeared for 2 weeks. I used to surf internet without problem, but now I can't go to any site, even through the 'WAP' . I can only find 'Browser' by 'Switch Application' but again no internet is accessible.
I am in the UK and the phone is contracted with Three. Internet had been accessible since June when I bought it but 2 weeks ago this happened. I've tried to re-send Host Routing Table registration message, but still has got nothing on the screen, nor can I go to internet.
I also find that 'Blackberry Internet Service' is 'not connected'. I don't know whether that's a problem but actually my internet has been fine, because I can still download extra applications through 'App World' icon.
I am not seeing my default opera browser my phone came with when i open 'internet' menu

For the most part the installation went smoothly. Only thing that didn't go through were my BBM contacts. Only one was saved in my contacts.

I came to realize that this happened when I added a new Gmail account to my Blackberry. Not sure if the new Gmail Sync had anything to do with it, but I found that all of my BlackBerry contacts are NOW in Contacts when I log into Gmail on the web. And the contacts that I do have in my phone happen to be all email addresses (mostly no numbers, but some) that were previously all saved in my web Gmail. It's like they just switched places.
