I have one bookmark which is blackberry Facebook which came with the phone and I don't really need it.. Is there a way of deleting or editing this as I have tried but failed?
View 2 RepliesMy AT&T BB Torch 9810 came with CNN and ESPN bookmarks already on the phone.I have followed the usual directions for deleting them however there is no option to delete or edit with the pre-installed ones as there is with the bookmarks that I set.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter having upgraded my device to Symbian Anna, it doesn't seem to be possible to start the browser in the bookmarks screen any longer (unlike the previous useful setting). I'm not interested in loading any "homepage" automatically (that simply doesn't fit my Internet access patterns - I typically access one of a few pages and it's more efficient to use bookmarks to go to the right page directly in that case). I understand that I can choose empty page - that doesn't enforce unwanted data traffic nor loading time for useless pages (as opposed to a default homepage scenario), but it still requires two more clicks to get to bookmarks.

Yes I have Dolphon Browser and Friefox but would like to use the Android Stock broswer for bookmaks.. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe bookmarks with ICS appear as tiny, hard-to-read icons with tiny, hard-to-read text on my Razr Maxx. I can't find a way to change the bookmarks from icons to pure text so that they are recognizable and usable. Seems like one of many features that is much worse with ICS than it was with GB. Is there a way to have the bookmarks appear as text-only? As an aside, is it only me, or is ICS a disappointment, with little to offer that makes learning a new OS worth the aggravation?

- desktop is signed on
- settings->accounts->google->chrome is set to sync
- did a force close and also rebooted

I have a new BES email so I had to wipe my blackberry account. How do I transfer my browser bookmarks from my old BES email? I backed up my blackberry before wiping and I have tried to restore just the browser bookmarks using the device restore select device data and settings, but the bookmarks don't come back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with my Yari and selecting internet settings - the phone simply won't select any internet settings! Everytime a connection is made to the internet, the phone asks for me to choose what internet settings to install.I have sent the settings to the phone from both Sony Ericsson (SE) Website and Optus (operator in Australia). I receive these ok, but settings don't install. No issue with streaming settings.
The phone will not connect to the operator to download settings for MMS/WAP/Internet.

Steps taken to attempt to resolve:
1. Manual internet settings
2. Operator provided internet settings
3. SE provided internet settings
4. Master reset
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 - same issue.
SE in Australia suggested Master Reset and then code update, which I will try tonight. Other than that, return to retailer.Any one have any suggestions? Hardware or software fault?
I have a lot of old messages in my visual voicemail and sms text. I have a Blackberry Bold 9700.
Is there some way I can delete all or most of these without having to do them one-by-one?
I installed the new OS and i can't find the web browser, any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i installed an app from Dictionary.com called Dictionary. i already had it installed but wanted to perform an update cause u cannot copy and paste the corectly spelled word directly into wherever u originally mispelled it. Anyway i performed an update, Bold asked me to reboot, now the phone boots half way, then restarts.over and over and over and over. Im back down to my Pearl. Is there any way to salvage this situation without me having to erase and reinstall everything from scratch? Is there a"safe mode" i can boot into on the phone and manually remove the app cause i have a feeling thats what's causing the reboots.

I have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?
Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC). Some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

View 2 Replies View Relatedsomething is killing my bb battery , it hardly lasts for 8 idle hrs and the same battery on another bb will last for around 2 days if not used too much , I had initially installed quite a few apps and thought maybe this was the reason for the weak battery , so i deleted all the apps and still the same . I dont have any apps other than the normal ones running in the background.
another thing is that my bb keeps hanging , esp while locking and unlocking Its like there is a bug or a virus on the bb I also dont see the name of the person calling when the phone is in the holster but when it is out it shows .....
i updated my app world, and now whenever i open it, i get a message that "my blackberry identity needs to be updated, " then when i try to update it, it says Blackberry Identity Installation failed, and app world closes.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI updated the OS, now whenever go into Twitter it freezes (but doesn't crash), sometimes for fifteen minutes. Then it gives an error message regaridng an uncaught exception. Or some such!
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Twitter buut it hasn't helped. What can I try next?
Twice in the past week or so, my calendar on my phone has been wiped completey clean! This is so inconveniant because I keep all my appointments and kids activities in it! I've had a blackberry for 6 years and this has never happened before and of course my year warranty has conveniantly just expired when this problem began.
