I recently upgraded from an s4 to a s5 and am having trouble transferring My internet bookmarks to the s5. I already have it checked in the sync settings but there not showing up. I am using the same Samsung account on both phones. Also Im using the default browser.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time i change chrome to default browser it does not stick. If i click on a link in email, google+, or twitter i still get prompted to use chrome or internet.
I've searched and searched everyone says same thing but nothing works.
I've checked "always open with" chrome and does not work.
I've went under all apps and tried to clear default for internet but it is grayed out and i can not click it.
Under default applications it does not show browsers so i can't modify there.
Under application manager I've also reset application preferences and this did not let me change the default browser either.
I've downloaded an app called "default app manager" and it allows me to change the browser default but it does not "stick". as soon as i click a link i'm still prompted with an option for browser.
When I'm Twitter, and I click on a link, the "Orange browser" opens up so I can view whatever I clicked on. Is there any way that I can use firefox as the default browser? I've looked almost everywhere in the phone menus to alter things but can't find anything.

Changing the default search engine in the stock browser doesn't work in new tabs?
For instance, I'll change the default search engine to Bing. That tab will use Bing for searches. If I open a new tab or close and reopen the app, it will use Google for searches again.
I'm using the AT&T S6 with latest 5.0.2 firmware.
Is there a way to restore the default bookmarks for Safari that came with the iPhone 4s? I mistakenly deleted them after having the iPhone for only a couple days.

I'm not interested in loading any "homepage" automatically (that simply doesn't fit my Internet access patterns - I typically access one of a few pages and it's more efficient to use bookmarks to go to the right page directly in that case). I understand that I can choose empty page - that doesn't enforce unwanted data traffic nor loading time for useless pages (as opposed to a default homepage scenario), but it still requires two more clicks to get to bookmarks.

I can't find a way to change the bookmarks from icons to pure text so that they are recognizable and usable. Seems like one of many features that is much worse with ICS than it was with GB. If I just exit the app by pressing the Home button it means that the next time I tap the Internet button it takes me immediately to the last page I was viewing. i am trying to play cityville on the samsung galaxy sii using the stock internet browser. i can open facebook without any problems but when i click on the cityville link, the loading bar at the top just keeps refreshing every time it gets to the end and the page doesn't ever seem to load. there are android cityville apps but you can't use them to play the actual game, just check and collect bonuses.

I recently unlocked my 8520 from t-mobile to at&t, i have the data plan with both providers. After i started using the 8520 on the at&t network i noticed that i cannot change my setting from hotspot browser to internet browser anymore which in turn i cannot use the data service with at&t that i am paying for.
