My touch screen is not working correctly. In the middle of a message it keeps jumping to the top of the screen and randomly jumping around and pressing buttons it shouldn't. I have tried restarting the phone a few times and still it persists. I have changed the sensitivity of the touch screen and yet it also continues.
View 7 RepliesI recently upgrade phone, from 9780 to 9790.Behalf the battery duration that's really poor, I've big problem with touchscreen!In my search in this forum and others related with BB, I couldn't find anything that helps me with the annoying touchscreen.I simply want to disable my touchscreen! I don't want that functionality on my phone. And RIM doesn't have any other equipment similar to that without touchscreen.I know that exist some applications that permit to lock the screen during a call, but what I really want it's to disable the touchscreen.Is there an official or officious way to do that?

Since new-I have been experiencing the problem where the phone hangs and a small clock appears in the center of the screen. While this clock is there, nothing can be done on the phone-it normally lasts for around a minute or two. Once it disappears, the phone again operates as normal, however the clock appears again and I am back at the problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Black Berry Bold 9700 for a little over a month. During the first couple weeks, I didn't notice that my track pad didn't click. When I realized this I just ignored it because it didn't seem like such a big deal. Well fast forward a couple weeks to today, my phone's track pad has been double clicking with one press. Not only that the clicks have been getting worse and worse. Sometimes I don't have to press anything and it will click automatically. Within the past couple hours of this, it has gotten so bad my phone sent 13 of the same picture under 10 seconds. I took the initiative and took it a part to see whats going on, but nothing I noticed was the cause. Upon reassembling it, and starting it back up the problem is still there, and still getting worse. Ive had my phone for over a month so the warranty has expired. I also don't have insurance to replace the entire phone.

Earlier on this morning at some point my screen began to malfunction appearing if it has been cracked. The phone was placed in my pocket and during some point after class and walking to halls this happened. The only other thing in my pocket was £1.50 in change (£1.00 and £0.50) and a plastic card key. I have absolutly no Idea how this has happened. I didn't fall, get mugged, get hit by anything, I just walked back to halls. Has this happened to anyone else and will my warranty cover it?Also will I be able to get all the data from it onto my computer?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently moved to a brand new AT&T BB9700, it is just awesome, the best change from an old Curve. The thing is I'm having serious problems with the Battery. I'm having annoying and unexpected "blackouts" or "shutdowns", wheterver you may want to call them, with an apparently perfect battery level. Please take notice that the first charge of my BB9700 device was for a full charge as indicated by some of you for 16 hours.
Ever since, I'm having a perfect 3G and EDGE connection, been very careful not leaving open applications, but there are times, when having let's say 30% to even 60% apparently battery level, that the BB9700 completely shuts down, unoperative, without any kind of alert! No low battery led, or indication on the screen whatsoever. This is freaking me out, because this is not supposed to work like that.
I've been reading that there are some of you that have a perfect full day or even more of a regular "BB usage" meaning email, conversations, web browsing, etc. I'm 90% sure the Battery is damaged or faulty, so I need you help to guide me if there is something I'm doing wrong (I think not , and besides need your orientation on how to ask RIM/BB for a replacement battery if effectively my battery is not working as it should, and as I paid to be working!
I have a BlackBerry 9700. Yesterday the keyboard became really weird. It strted pressing u even if i was pressing something else. Also if i pressed q,e or some other letters it would close the text message I was writing. Also if i pressed spacebar, it would keep going till i pressed something else (same with backspace). the buttons either side of the trackpad (back, menu, ring, hang up buttons) keep flashing , like blinking on and off and the trackpad isnt working amazingly. whenever there is call keep on rejecting. This all happened in one day

A few days ago, i noticed that my screen started flickering whenever i used the trackpad to scroll through icons on the home screen.Later, I realised that it would suddenly go dim, i.e. the screen would still show the icons but so dim that the screen looks completely dark., at random intevals.Whenever I pressed the screen lock button at the top to blank it and then press it again to reactivate it, it would reactivate but again at a very dim setting.

I had to download App World and when signing in it did not lead me to my previous apps or even the ones that were given free by RIM.
