When I slide my keyboard out, my screen instantly scrambles. It is a pitch or catch as to whether or not the screen corrects itself when the keyboard is then closed. If it does not correct itself, and turning the screen off does not resolve the scramble, I have to pop the battery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I downloaded the automatic update, my phone stops allowing me to type messages. Both the screen keyboard and slide out keyboard are refusing to function. THIS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER I UPDATED MY DROID 2! I hard-restarted my phone last week and it appeared to work, but now it is malfunctioning. Every time I hard-restart my phone to factory default settings, it wipes out all of my applications.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to keep the display in landscape view when you slide the keynboard open? I have a car cradle that I used with my 9700. I now use the cradle with my Torch. The Torch is thicker than the 9700, so I have to slide the Torch open and slide just the keybord section in it fits nice aNd tight. I want to be able to swivel the cradle to allopw landscape view, but since the keyboard is open the screen won't change from portraight to landscape view.

View 2 Replies View Relatedstrange issue with one phone. with the on screen keyboard I can't hit P, L, M, or Delete. It just hits the keys next to these keys. Hard reset twice. What's odd is that you can hit icons on the home screen in the same position as where these keys are.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm the proud owner of a Droid 3 for the past year+Never had any problem with itIt was never touched by water, nor suffered a serious fall.lately whenever i pull the keyboard out, screen's brightness goes crazy. (when keyboard folded it works fine!)I can still see the screen but the brightness levels themselves flicker very fast between working / not working. in the end most of the times brightness remains not working, and in order to see the screen visibly i need to close the keyboard.sometimes though after some flickering brightness settles at its working state. ried rebooting, changing all sorts of brightness settings etc, nothing solved it
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe letter 'i' appears without a dot each time I type it in email, messenger and text messaging. As a result, I cannot send emails as the recipient address is not recognised.
I have rebooted several times and restored to an earlier date when I didn't have this problem, but to no avail.
just down loaded the new update, all is good except- there is now a problem. While placing an outgoing call the screen/keyboard fails illuminate. There's no way to end or stop any phone calls. The screen will reactivate once the other person ends their call. Also does the same thing calling voice mail, etc.... no screen available to enter security codes
View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up my phone as I usually do, slid open the keyboard, typed out a text message, and then attempted to press the send button with my finger. For some reason, my touch didn't register and I had to manually select the send button by using the keyboard. I thought it was a glitch, however I am not able to select anything using the touch screen with the keyboard open. For example, if I press the lock button and attempt to unlock my phone with the touchscreen while the keyboard is open, I get no response. Also, if the keyboard is open and I try to open an app or perform any function using the touch screen, I recieve no response. However, the touch screen performs perfectly fine with the keyboard close. The main reason I got the Droid 2 was because of the physical keyboard paired with the touchscreen so I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIf you are texting with the keyboard open, autocompletions come up on the bottom of your screen.If you then hit "home" or "back" a few times, you will be at the home screen. But, if your keyboard is still open, the auto suggestions are still there!Even more annoying, if you actually click on them, they will go back into your texting program that isn't even on the screen. The next time you go in there, additional words may be in the input box.To get rid of it, opening the browser and hitting back seems to work, sometimes. Closing the keyboard also gets rid of it...but it will come right back if you open the keyboard again.

Also if i pressed q,e or some other letters it would close the text message I was writing. Also if i pressed spacebar, it would keep going till i pressed something else (same with backspace). the buttons either side of the trackpad (back, menu, ring, hang up buttons) keep flashing , like blinking on and off and the trackpad isnt working amazingly. whenever there is call keep on rejecting. The keys also seem to have a slow response time. Especially the backspace button which i have to click multiple times to get to delete things. And it seems random for which letters it doubles up, but this problem has been happening for the past 4 days.

Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI won a Nokia 5800 a few months ago from a Pepsi Competition and the phone has been working grand. Earlier on this morning at some point my screen began to malfunction appearing if it has been cracked. The phone was placed in my pocket and during some point after class and walking to halls this happened. The only other thing in my pocket was £1.50 in change (£1.00 and £0.50) and a plastic card key. I have absolutly no Idea how this has happened. I didn't fall, get mugged, get hit by anything, I just walked back to halls. Has this happened to anyone else and will my warranty cover it?Also will I be able to get all the data from it onto my computer?
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen I am using the qwerty keyboard (not touch screen) it is either not responding when I press a letter, or after several presses, when it does eventually respond, it displays a letter or character different from what I am pressing. Its basically to the point where my keyboard is useless. I have to hit the same key at least 5 times before it shows anything. It will sometimes skip letters that I'm typing and just display the next character. for example, I can be typing SLOWLY, hitting one at a time, spelling t-e-x-t and it will show up e-t, or something along those lines. Ill backspace to go back to the beginning to add in the missing letter and Ill hit T over and over and over till it eventually shows up, or some random character will show up.
