BB Bold :: 9900 Frozen On Reboot 3/4?
Aug 17, 2012my blackberry froze so I tuck the battery out to do a reboot now its stuck on reboot 3/4 I have done EVERYTHING tried loading new os, I've whipped my phone put a new os.

Bold :: Bb 9900 Frozen After A Call
Nov 5, 2012I have a BB 9900 that is only a week old.The BB works perfectly, that is until someone calls me.I can answer the phone, hear and speak with the person on the other end - no issues. I can use BBM, texting etc, no issues.The problem occurs when I try to hang up after someone calls me. The phone freezes.I can press the hang up button, but it does not return to the main screen.It freezes at the caller ID screen and I have to yank the battery out of it to get back to the main screen that has all the icons on it.

Aug 28, 2012my blackberry bold 9900 appears to be frozen I assume as I started doing the software update since 2pm today and yet its still not finished? It has been 8hours now. It seems to have frozen on 14%. Now I have tried rebooting my phone many times but it keeps on taking me back to the software update page. I am currently unable to access anything on my blackberry device.

Sep 4, 2012I did an update on my BB (worst decision ever) and now it is frozen on social feeds. The overall backup progress is at 6% and will not move at all.This is my business phone and it needs to work ASAP.I'm completely annoyed (though not surprised) that this has happened. The phone will not connect to the computer so I'm basically stuck with whatever I can do via the phone. I've removed the battery three times already and the same thing happens.

Sep 4, 2012I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.
BB Bold :: 9900 Does Not Reboot
Feb 12, 2012I have a 6 month old blackberry 9900. I suddenly noticed some Java Null pointer exceptions on my screen with the blackbeery platform 5.0..0.464 message on top.
I tried rebooting the system couple of times but doesnt work.
Tried to update the sioftware, unfortuntaely it requires a DM and my DM doest recoignize my device any more. Infact it recognizes the system and also the PIN however, it doesnt connect to the 9900.
So am unable to do anything. if I can install OS in someway without being on DM. Loosing data shouldnt be constraint as I feel in love with this piece and I want it to work.

Nov 12, 2011Have had 9900 for nearly a week. Every time I switch off or use the auto off I cannot switch back on using the power key. I have to pull the battery and it reboots once replaced. The auto on function does not work either. I removed all my extra applications with no success. The battery life is very short. I can only get 12 hours when receiving 4 calls , making 2 calls and receiving 10 emails.

However, it's been "installing" for 8 hours now, and it's stuck on 14% Overall backup progress. And 0% Social Feeds.Also, not sure if it's related. (probably is) but my Signal is off and i have no network connection. And I've got good coverage usually at home. I realised the problem about 7 hours in, after it said it would only be 2. So I battery pulled it, and it didn't work, then I tried battery and sim pulling, that didn't work. I've tried hooking it up to my blackberry desktop. It can't pick the device up because of it.

Nov 13, 2012Last night I setup my phone to perform the new software update as I went to bed so that it would do it overnight. This morning? App error 602 and 603 with a white screen of death. When I turn the phone on it says backing up data (which I'm pretty sure it did completely last night), and it does not go progress... almost like there is no data to backup. I can't restore to factory defaults and I can't connect to the Desktop Manager for any period of time. I can't think of anything that I could do unless there was a way to restore the phone to factory defaults without the phone being turned on.

Oct 18, 2011I had a Blackberry bold 9900 which suffered an irrecoverable crash in December last year. Orange sent me a replacement. Last night, I went to get my phone and tried switching it on with the button at the top. It didn't come on. The phone would only reboot to 70%. I read on a forum to remove the battery and sim card and reinsert. The phone does not come on at all now. I've tried charging with/without battery, with/without sim card. I've tried everything on the internet. all my contacts are on the phone, I assumed this would be safe as it was supposed to do a regular back up. Is there a fix for the phone, if not, how do I access these backups that the phone was doing?

Jan 7, 2011I started the "critical update" that popped up on my phone earlier today at about 12pm via the Desktop Manager (up to date).. Now it's almost 4pm and I've spent 3 and a half hours waiting for progress, scared to "disconnect the device or interrupt the process" for fear of my phone becoming "unstable" as the update window stated.I have included an image to prove the time frame (backed up device at 11:50, still waiting at 3:40.)There has been no change since the reboot stage began, about 20 minutes into the update, which was surprisingly quick.My phone has restored to factory settings, and I'm scared to do anymore than look at it?

BB Torch :: Frozen During Reboot Stage Of Software Update?
Jan 11, 2012I was having issues with my trackpad -- and this thread said to do a clean reload. So I did, and left it going overnight. When I came back to it in the morning, it said it couldn't connect to the device, and that it might require a password.
I don't have a password set, so I clicked retry. I got the same message an hour later. The progress bar looks like it has about 80% left to go.
The phone has been reset to factory defalt, so I'm worried I've lost all my files. I did a few backups before staring, but I have no idea how to restore it myself, and if I should interupt the process.

I did a battery pull and then went to BBDM to see if I could do a "restore" from my computer, but it won't recognize the phone because it is in this frozen pattern. The screen sits in the white screen with timer mode and every 20 minutes or so, the screen goes black and tries to reset and gets stuck back in the white screen with timer mode. I backed my system up yesterday. Can I do a restore if it won't recognize my phone when I plug it in? Is there a hard reset that I can do?

Dec 16, 2011Droid RAZR - bought in November from Verizon store. Screen protectors and case are used; phone has experienced no trauma. While in Gmail today, the screen pixellated, became unresponsive, and now is inoperable. The screen appears as a mostly uniform field of slowly shifting color (pink, green) with a perhaps .75 inch bar of white on the bottom; see attached picture (it was hard to get a good shot because of the lighting). The phone still "works" internally - if you call it, it rings; the screen sleeps after an appropriate time and you can push the power button to bring it back; I hear the chime of emails and texts coming in. However, none of the menu/home/back buttons work, and touching the screen apparently does nothing. When I push the power button to "wake" the phone, the previously described white bar appears instantly, and the fuzzy colored remainder of the screen "develops" over about ten seconds.
I forced a reboot via the power button/volume trick, and heard the reboot process - but the same screen issue stayed throughout the reboot.I am at about 15% power; perhaps a complete shutdown forced by loss of battery power will eventually help. Plugging it in to a charger did not help.
