View 1 RepliesThe roller ball (scroll pad) on my blackberry curve is frozen. Tmobile suggested it software due to it is not a moving mechanical part. This is an unlocked phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8900 and my keyboard and roller-ball seem to be frozen. I had no issues at all on yesterday and then in the evening today everything just sort of...froze. The ball will scroll but I cant click on anything or use ANY of the keys. It registers as getting texts in and my light is blinking but, like I said, I can't access anything at all. I have removed the battery for nearly 12 hours to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9900 that is only a week old.The BB works perfectly, that is until someone calls me.I can answer the phone, hear and speak with the person on the other end - no issues. I can use BBM, texting etc, no issues. The problem occurs when I try to hang up after someone calls me. The phone freezes.I can press the hang up button, but it does not return to the main screen. It freezes at the caller ID screen and I have to yank the battery out of it to get back to the main screen that has all the icons on it.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry bold 9900 appears to be frozen I assume as I started doing the software update since 2pm today and yet its still not finished? It has been 8hours now. It seems to have frozen on 14%. Now I have tried rebooting my phone many times but it keeps on taking me back to the software update page. I am currently unable to access anything on my blackberry device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know how it got there but when I came back to my phone it was turned off and now I turn it on it is stuck 3/4 of the loading screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI did an update on my BB (worst decision ever) and now it is frozen on social feeds. The overall backup progress is at 6% and will not move at all. This is my business phone and it needs to work ASAP.I'm completely annoyed (though not surprised) that this has happened. The phone will not connect to the computer so I'm basically stuck with whatever I can do via the phone. I've removed the battery three times already and the same thing happens.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.
So, I went to check if there was a new OS update. There was, so I downloaded and am currently installing it. However, it's been "installing" for 8 hours now, and it's stuck on 14% Overall backup progress. And 0% Social Feeds. Also, not sure if it's related. (probably is) but my Signal is off and i have no network connection. And I've got good coverage usually at home. I realised the problem about 7 hours in, after it said it would only be 2. So I battery pulled it, and it didn't work, then I tried battery and sim pulling, that didn't work. I've tried hooking it up to my blackberry desktop. It can't pick the device up because of it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ongoing problem with shortcuts becoming frozen or unresponsive. This has happened numerious times and to many different shortcuts. The shortcuts simply do not work. Short press, long press, nothing. I can't delete them either. If I go to the app drawer, the app for the frozen shortcut launches normally.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe other day while at Six Flags in Atlanta (them park for those of you who don't know it), a group of my friends and I were having a blast. We waited in line for the Superman ride and eventually when we were boarding my friend looked at me and said:
"Dude, what do I do with my phone?" To which I replied..
"You brought your iPhone 4??!" (I, and others in our group, had all left our iPhone 4s at home)
"Yeah, I'll just put it in this pocket *slides in pocket*, it should be fine"
"I suppose" I replied
Needless to say we were all more than thrilled after an hour of waiting, so I wasn't very concerned that my friend was an idiot, and figured he'd hold on to his pocket with his dear life while we rode the ride.
Halfway through the ride, a person in front of me had change fly out of their pocket and almost hit me the face, at which point I realized, my less-than-average-IQ friend, had more than likely had the phone slip out of his pocket while he held his hands in the air pretending to be Superman.Yep, it was gone. While getting off the ride it looked as though my friend had just seen a ghost (forgive my terrible examples). The phone had fallen out somewhere randomly and we had no idea where it was.
Skipping a couple of hours. Our group is driving home and one of our friends said, "Hey Alex, I'll call your phone and see if it was found my anyone."(Trying to hurry the story up). He called, it rang, a woman picked up and said that the phone had nearly destroyed a group of people walking on a sidewalk in the theme park as the ride came screeching by, but she informed us that the phone had a bunch of scratches on the back, and a chip in the glass in a corner, but overall was in working condition (and she had even managed to play with it since my friend didn't have a passcode).So...the phone survived a pretty epic fall, with only cosmetic issues (or so we were told). My friend has arranged to meet the woman soon, who happens to live not to far from us and get the phone back and pay her $25 bucks for keeping it. (She isn't interested in stealing the phone, she said her own phone is fine)
If the woman holds true to her word and doesn't take the phone, I'll try and post pictures of the phone whenever my friend gets it back...
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRoller ball rolls fine but nothing scrolls on screen. It is stuck highlighting the email icon and won't go anywhere else. The ball rolls smooth, it doesn't feel like anything is stuck. I've pulled the battery and cleaned the track ball - still nothing. It's like there is no connectivity.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, today, while checking email, the screen on the device when completely white (there was absolutely nothing on ther screen - I've read that the WSOD often has a symbol or something on the screen, this was strictly white)So, I pulled the battery from the device for a couple of minutes. Upon replacing the battery into the phone, the LED lights up for a couple of minutes and then the screen proceeds with the typical reboot screen... the "blackberry" with the loading bar. Once the bar is full and loaded, the screen goes black and the LED turns off. From here, the device is completely unresponsive.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy bold 9780 suddenly became unresponsive, the battery is charged, took it out and the sim, put it all back together again and it starts up, all looks good but no of the keys will respond, not even to take a call.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIts slow. I will press on an application (BBM for instance) and it will take upto 20 seconds for it to open.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUpgraded BBM and now phone is frozen. Tried reboot. Tried batter remove and reinsert, but the white bar loads for rebooting to about 3/4s then stops.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my Bold 9700 stopped working last night. It scrolled but would not register being pressed. Followign advice elsewhere on this site, I downloaded the desktop manager and backed up the device, then installed a new operating system (version 6).
Now nothing on the BB is working. It is stuck on the terms and conditions screen that starts "This handheld device includes software that it proprietary and confidential to Research In Motion Limited. . ." I can see there is a blue arrow at the bottom, implying I need to scroll down and accept the terms and conditions, but as none of the keyboard is responding, I can't do this.
Today, I signed up for Blackberry Email Service with T-Mobile. I got a message that an update was available, so I downloaded and installed it. However, when the Blackberry rebooted after the installation, (which seemed to take much longer than normal), the screen reads "Blackberry Platform 6.6.0.195" followed by a listing of all of the programs and apps on the Blackberry. There's also an error message that reads, "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.Null Pointer Exception". When I click "OK" there is another message reading, "Uncaught Exception:ApplicationRegistry.wait For(0xbfca09409ffe99e5) timeout. Then I get another reading, "Uncaught Exception:java.lang.Error" Every application on the list seems to have an error, and nothing will open. But I can't even shut the phone off. I have tried all of the four different reboot methods, but nothing seems to work.
I am wondering if I were to sync the Blackberry with the Blackberry Desktop Manager on my lpatop if it would reset the OS to the way it was before the update.
My second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
I've been using my BB Bold 9700 for a long time now...have not had a single problem with it. Yesterday desktop manager suggested i upgrade from OS5 to 6...since i did this my phone refuses to start up, it goes no further than the blackberry loading screen. i suppose i need to downgrade back to OS5, but my phone wont even connect to my computer. tried hard booting, soft booting and resetting device, as well as using the "alt+shift+delete" and even double delete shortcut.
