Suddenly, today, while checking email, the screen on the device when completely white (there was absolutely nothing on ther screen - I've read that the WSOD often has a symbol or something on the screen, this was strictly white)So, I pulled the battery from the device for a couple of minutes. Upon replacing the battery into the phone, the LED lights up for a couple of minutes and then the screen proceeds with the typical reboot screen... the "blackberry" with the loading bar. Once the bar is full and loaded, the screen goes black and the LED turns off. From here, the device is completely unresponsive.
I have a Sony Z3 and out of the blue yesterday the touchscreen became completely unresponsive. I have restarted countless times (with power & volume up button), fully charged, given it 24 hours and have just tried a repair using Sony Bridge.
I've got an issue with a HTC Sensation. The touchscreen will not unlock whatsoever. The phone turns on fine, new notifications pop up on the top bar and the screen on/off button at the top works fine, but the silver ring at the bottom will not pull up to unlock.
This happened afew weeks ago, I took out the battery, left it out for a few hours, put it back in, did a factory reset and it worked. I've since installed a few more apps and accordingly, the screen does not work at all, I've tried pulling the battery but to no avail, nothing will work, I'm still getting messages through and phone calls but can't unlock the screen to answer!
Does anyone know of any way to bypass the lock screen at start-up so I can just do a factory reset again??? I have tried starting up in safe mode, but this doesn't work.
Recently my Ray's touchscreen has stopped working completely; the screen its self works, as do the volume and power buttons, but it won't register any touch - I can't even unlock the slider. Tried all of the usual things, recharging, leaving the battery out etc. In the end I used the repair tool which installed ICS, and that actually worked for about two days, but the same problem just came back.
The home button on my 4S is completely unresponsive. Additionally, when I turn the phone off, it restarts all by itself. I've tried a few times to reinstall software, but that hasn't corrected the problem.
For a while now my home button has been sporadically unresponsive - I'd press it a couple times and then it'd work. This morning however, it won't respond at all, which means once I enter an application I can't exit it at all. I can't reboot it by pressing the Home/Wake buttons together either, since obviously the home button isn't working, and I'd rather not restart it every time I want to do something.
I think this is more a hardware problem than anything else and means I might need to get my phone replaced, but it's out of its 1 year warranty period. I kept dropping it, even with a case on.
Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, cracked screen, I dropped it a lot
this problem is only occuring in Apples Photos application.
when i open the photos app, it works fine does not crash. however when i close the app, then open it again it crashes and is completely unresponsive. this problem started since i updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7.1. Â
To resolve this problem, i have to terminate the app then re-open it again. but i dont want to hav to do this everytime.
So this morning I took my Xperia Play out of its charging dock, to find that the touch screen is now completely unresponsive.I have tried updating and repairing the software through the PC companion, but the screen is still completely unresponsive. The phone is still (technically) working, and can be navigated by using the PS controls, but the touch part of the screen is not working.
i upgrade the last version for my Xperia Play but unfortunately the touch screen is now completely unresponsive, The phone is still (technically) working, and can be navigated by using the PS controls, but the touch part of the screen is not working.
IPhone 5c was sporadically charging and now completely unresponsive to charger. !! I tried the removing of the lint but nothing changed and now it's not charging at all! I need this phone due to my work. What should I do?
I have a program on my Blackberry that I use for work, Salesforce.Com Mobile. I uninstalled the program and then allowed the 9700 to reboot. When I go to download Salesforce.com Mobile again, the software doesn't prompt me for my username or password and just hangs. It's almost as if remnants of the original install were on the phone somewhere and it kept my data.I searched my micro sd card, but didn't see anything there.
Yesterday i dropped my storm and it shut off completely, no cracks on the screen nothing. I did a battery pull repeatedly and charged it over night, at first the red light would blink whenever i hit the power button and now its completely unresponsive, no red light at all. Will not even show its charging, my computer will not detect it.
all of a sudden, after my dinner this evening, my S6 edge was completely unresponsive.
pressing the power button for 7+ seconds, as per Samsung, did not work at all. totally black screen, no response. pressing the volume DOWN button, power button, and the home button, also to no avail. on the other hand, while on the phone to TMobile's customer service to report this non-functional brand new phone,
i was continuing to press the abovementioned buttons frantically. well, while i was talking to TMobile via my landline, the phone eventually booted up. this was VERY haphazard. The only thing i recall reading about this was to press the power button for 7 seconds, which Samsung had said was the equivalent of pulling out the battery.
right. that's bogus. that did nothing for me. yet, by pressing the volume up or down button PLUS the power button PLUS the home button,
i don't know exactly which combination eventually worked, as i was trying various permutations, eventually, the phone booted up. this does not give me confidence in this phone.
What eventually i did to make this phone boot up eventually. all i did was to be on the phone with TMobile and press the power button plus the volume up or down button, plus the home button, and eventually, it rebooted and came back to life.
I have just purchased a new bold 9700 and iam very dissapointed with the web browsing. I had a unlocked storm that I broke. I cannot completely load very many websites at all. The websites seem to load halfway and then stop. Called at&t, they tested the phone said it was fine and they informed me that the bold didnt have the same capabilites as the storm. Can someone let me know if this is true? If so then returning the phone and getting another storm.
I have this darn sample song by Aeson (whoever the **** that is) and no matter how many times I delete it, it still will show up at some point later on. Its been a couple days but the sample video will show up once in a while too. Its getting so annoying. How do I delete them for good? Also is there a way to delete visual voicemail for good too?
Redirect me to a post that may already be up or useful. First off, I apologize if I am posting a deja vu post. Secondly, I'd like to know if anyone has a fix for my 9700, I have owned this phone for 2 months, one week in to using my bold, I lost all of my info, everything was gone. It went back to the original background pic and everything. It didn't really phase me because I had only had it for a week and had only put in a few contacts. This morning I woke up to my BB plugged into my Macbook, which is the usual site, but when I unplugged the bold 9700 from my macbook everything was gone again, I took it to the bell store and they said there was nothing they could do, and that "that shouldn't happen, did you back up your phone?" I of course haven't had the time to back up my phone and I know it would save me right now but this still should never happen, I was only charging my phone and now everything on my phone is gone. I play JR hockey and all of my hockey connections, emails and texts are in that phone, I literally have 200+ contacts that I need and can't ever get back.
I have a BOLD 9700 my trackpad refuses to work. I have tried rebooting, pressing the trackpad 5 times which all worked before but now its completely dead. How to remedy this or how to use my BB without the trackpad...
I am having an issue with the 950s screen responsiveness and hoping a few other ow red could confirm if they are also so I know if it's a bad screen or something else.
When the phone is laying flat on a hard surface the screen is completely unresponsive. As soon as a pick it up everything is fine.
The other issue is in regards to the keyboard which seems to be hit or miss on recognizing input near the edges of the screen.
I suspect it could be the tempered glass screen protector but I don't want to remove it if others have the issue if there is a known software issue.
I phone recently developed a problem with touch screen becomming completely unresponsive. I googled and found its a common fault with Sony Handsets. Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.
My bold 9780 suddenly became unresponsive, the battery is charged, took it out and the sim, put it all back together again and it starts up, all looks good but no of the keys will respond, not even to take a call.
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'. In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
When I go to school, I put the sound on "OFF." I move sometimes and I accidentally press the volume button, and sometimes it plays music from my music player on my BB Bold. I'm scared the volume will go too high and the teacher will hear, she/he'll take my phone, of course. Is there anyway to fix this? I do put my music volume all the way down before I get to class, but sometimes it just goes back up a little bit by random button pressing. I do lock my phone, also, but I never turn it off, and I don't want to. So, is there any other way to keep me safe in classes?
My second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
Last night, it seems my world totally collapsed when I discovered my Blackberry Bold 9900 was factoring setting up, everything gone, my text messages with important information, my photos, BBM contacts, saved password and data, my calendar appointments, both email accounts and all my new contact details. I'm just devastated, just so shocked. If I could cry, I would.
I've read with interest the threads about CDMA signal strength being affected by the position of the SIM card, etc. I'm in a rural area with no GSM coverage, and any international travel would be something I could prepare for by installing the card. Does it make sense to remove the SIM card completely, in the interest of signal strength, and store it in a safe place? I'm in an area where testing would be difficult (spotty signal to begin with).
