I have set up my primary gmail on my new xoom and can read and send mail, but cannot get at my contacts, possibly because my main access on the PC is using THunderbird.I have tried to set up my7 secondary gmail account (which works OK on any PC with any browser, rather than Thunderbird) on the Xoom, but Google cannot find it. Several attempts have failed. I have typed the user name and password very carefully
View 1 RepliesOn my DroidX when I open a contact and select the email address it opens up my mail program (k9 mail) so that I can send a message.On my Xoom when I try the exact same thing the screen just goes gray and hangs until I touch it again.

How can I password-protect each one so that each person only has access to their mail, and not everyone else's?I was thinking an application password app would help, but there's just the one GMail app to protect ... not the individual accounts connected to the app.

One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just realized that as of April 19, I have not been able to send anything on my Outlook Exchange email accoutn. It's receiving just fine, but my Outbox is full of unsent mail! I remember a problem we had in the past with not being able to reply to messsages, but these are both replies and new messages. My settings are all exactly the same as my DroidX phone, which sends just fine. I have a command at the top of my Outbox that says "Send All Messages," but it doesn't do anything.I've rebooted a couple of times, with no change.

I tried 587 in the settings along with all of the other info, identical to the other phone ( EVO 4G) and my Outlook setting on my home PC (except for the 587 port) Home pc has 25 there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried many, many times to beam contacts from my HTC Touch Pro to my Xoom. The first time, it did 30 out of 90, and then it would hang. Subsequent attempts would fail after 9 or fewer. Eventually it got to the point of not even doing one. I lost count of how many times I tried this. Probably 20 or more. I just tried the same thing with my new Samsung Galaxy Prevail [to clarify: from the HTC to the Prevail], and all contacts were successfully sent on the first attempt.

I have subfolders under my Contacts folder (e.g. Work, Personal, etc.) that are not visible/syncing. Is there a way either within the native e-mail client or an app that will let me sync the contacts subfolders? I do not want to root the Xoom. My iPhone does this natively but I'm not sure that ICS can.

Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings.My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.

I have set up my yahoo mail account on my Nokia C6-01. I receive mails as they should do. But I Cant send mail. When I compose a mail and try to send it it just stays in outbox. I have set the mailbox settings correctly. While my gmail account works fine to send mails. Mails are sent instantly. Is anyone else going thru this trouble? And I Cant set up the Ovi mail mailbox. It keeps telling me "unable to sign in"

It was displaying "cannot get mail" and couldn't connect to the server, even after I updated my password on the phone. It seemed like it was reverting to my old password, even after I successfully changed it.Â
I switched to trying to access Yahoo through Mail - Other and it worked. I can receive my e-mails, but now it is not letting me send outgoing mails. It says "doesn't accept relays".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to pair my SII to a motorola T325 speakerphone. It pairs fine but when it goes to download my phonebook it does not work. "Phonebook access request" shows up at the top of the phone screen but then nothing happens. I then attempted to put the speakerphone into manual mode and send the vCards over from the SII but when I attempt that it says ContactName.vcf not sent. I have reset the speakerphone to factory already. I have also tried deleting all pairings on the SII and re-pairing the speakerphone, nothing works. Speakerphone downloads phonebook from other phones fine. I need the contacts in this speakerphone so I know who I'm getting calls from at work.
