On my DroidX when I open a contact and select the email address it opens up my mail program (k9 mail) so that I can send a message.On my Xoom when I try the exact same thing the screen just goes gray and hangs until I touch it again.

When I open on my computer the bookmarks are in the document. When I open on my Xoom the bookmarks are gone or I don't know how to access them. View 3 Replies View RelatedUnable to open any web links from an app or gmail ....started to happen a few minutes ago..these links are embedded in a email or from an app like pulse etc. I have stock broswer and dolphin HD ...and I select which one to displayed when the browser selection pop up window comes up.
Now the selection popup window does not come at all...and the screen goes about 50% dark and when touched anywhere on the screen ...it comes to normal brightness...
I can download it, but the installed then says it can't open the file.

Up until yesterday, I was able to click on a link in my email and open the browswer with that link. All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. This is both for the stock browser and Dolphin Browser HD.

And now register that the e-mail program simply cuts sentences and words in e-mails I send from my PC. Sometimes the text is not displayed at all.
I send email from Thunderbird (v.17.0, released: November 20, 2012). And I've tried different settings for the format I send e-mails without success. When I send from a hotmail account or gmail account from the internet, there are no problems.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI tried many, many times to beam contacts from my HTC Touch Pro to my Xoom. The first time, it did 30 out of 90, and then it would hang. Subsequent attempts would fail after 9 or fewer. Eventually it got to the point of not even doing one. I lost count of how many times I tried this. Probably 20 or more. I just tried the same thing with my new Samsung Galaxy Prevail [to clarify: from the HTC to the Prevail], and all contacts were successfully sent on the first attempt.
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently we both just got on Facebook. I was showing her how you can go into contacts and scroll right and see any status updates. She tried it on hers and it was in the dialer. I opened the drawer and hit the contacts icon and it just opened the dialer under the contact tab. Her phone is stock with Launcher Pro. My phone has Launcher Pro but works fine. I have looked all through her phone and done numerous searches and am unable to find the answer about how to get her back to all contacts. She did do the GB update, but I should still be able to see the contacts outside of the dialer. I can't even create a text group for her.

I have subfolders under my Contacts folder (e.g. Work, Personal, etc.) that are not visible/syncing. Is there a way either within the native e-mail client or an app that will let me sync the contacts subfolders? I do not want to root the Xoom. My iPhone does this natively but I'm not sure that ICS can.

Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings.My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.
I upgraded from the Cliq a few months ago. So I noticed when I link contacts together that it doesn't always keep the name of the contact that I open. It'll change it. Example: I open the contact "Dad" and then link another contact for him "John Doe" and then it will change the name from Dad (which I opened first) to John Doe. Why is it doing that? It got 95% done and had an error where it could not finish.After doing some further investigation, I see I was supposed to use RSD GENERAL. I downloaded it, but it says that it can't read my phone and that it needs to be recovered. There is a list of Vendors and Versions, but they drop down boxes for it are blank! What do I do? I really want to use this phone for Verizon.
