Feb 16, 2012When I reboot my Xoom LTE, dialogue boxes don't open. The screen darkens as though one is coming, but then nothing happens.
Example: I reboot my Xoom and open my email. I click on a link. I expect to see the dialgue box asking me what web browser to use to open the link, but the screen only darkens.
Today, I decided to see if it was just me being impatient. At 1:51p, I tried to open a link after my Xoom had been rebooted around 5a. I left the Xoom alone afterwards. At 4p, it still hadn't managed to open the dialogue box. But now at 9:30p, it opens like normal.
This happens every time I restart my Xoom. I have tried to manage for it. After setting up a "Box" account last week, I loaded the tablet app, but it caused there to be a dialogue box whenever I clicked the "mail" notification, so I got rid of it. I can't just live with one web browser, though. Nor is the stock video player equipped to play all those files.

Sep 23, 2011Any thoughts on why I takes my Xoom about 8-10 minutes to bootup? I will admit I have something like 400 apps on it but the main flash still has 20gb free on it. Once booted up it seems to run pretty normally. Is there a way for me to speed the boot process up?

Mar 5, 2012I've noticed recently that it takes a while to start loading a page from the time I click the browser icon (in homescreen tray at bottom).
From homescreen:
1) Click on browser icon in tray
2) Browser window pops up fairly quickly, says "Loading ..." in address bar for up to 30 seconds or more
3) URL of previous page then shows up in address bar (replaces "Loading ...") and page then starts to load, fairly quickly.

May 13, 2011my phone takes very very long time to send pictures on phone via gmail. I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. It is so frustrating. I have reset my phone manytimes and I have updated software.

Jun 19, 2011Although the browser is significantly improved from 3.0, it still has the distinction of being the only app I've seen with bizarre graphics effects. They don't happen with the same frequency as before 3.1 but they are still pretty freakish.Just a few minutes ago, I wanted to post about the delay switching between apps, and I woke my tablet up, hit the home button (leaving the apps market) and flipped over to my bookmarks screen and tapped the one for Motorola Forum. I was presented with a screen which flickered extremely rapidly between a partially rendered apps market and the browser. This continued for maybe half a minute, until the apps market finally won out. The browser must have died, since it was not in the recent apps list when I then checked it. However, the usual dialog to force close or report was not given.
I launched the browser again, logged into this forum, and tapped start discussion, and I was given the form to do so, but when I tapped the subject textbox, it did not render the typical focus border and flashing caret, and even though the keyboard (I use swipeIt) would let me enter words, they were not being displayed in the textbox (although tapping the textbox again, positioned the caret as if there were characters in the box)

I would have to press the return button several times to get back to my home-screen.

Called VZW up they claim that google pushed out an update which breaks Nav. I called BS, then he tried to blame it on the hurricane.I have been through 4 of these phones, all with different annoying problems, Getting tired of it.

May 4, 2011I have the Xoom set to automatic date/time. I turn on Airplane mode (with WiFi on) to conserve battery. Runs most of the day at the office OK. I think it is OK at home as well. Plug it in to charge overnight (Xoom still on). Wake up in the morning and the time is all wrong.
I then turn Airplane mode off. The Xoom connects to 3G and sets the clock again.
Can't figure out why the clock (once automatically set to the right time), would change after a period of time.

When I open on my computer the bookmarks are in the document. When I open on my Xoom the bookmarks are gone or I don't know how to access them. I have used Acrobat Reader, ezPDF, OfficeSuite, and Quickoffice but none show the saved bookmarks.

Apr 25, 2012My Xoom has always had some issues picking up the wifi signal in my house (probably due to the old lathe and plaster walls), so I installed a Hawking HWREN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Range Extender to give me better range.
This has worked marvelously... until my husband's Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 plus entered the picture. Now, whenever he gets online with his G-tab, my Xoom will lose connection. Perhaps, not lose connection per se... if I stand in the room where the router (or range extender) is located, web pages will load. However, if I am anywhere near his G-tab, pages will time out and not load.
I am not educated enough to know if this is a RFI issue, or something I can configure differently so we can both be connected simultaneously. It is almost as if his tab is hogging all of the bandwidth...

Sep 5, 2011Up until yesterday, I was able to click on a link in my email and open the browswer with that link. All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. This is both for the stock browser and Dolphin Browser HD.
