Nov 4, 2011I have just updated my xoom to Android 3.2 and installed Flash 11.When I go to Android Market it still does not show me BBC IPlayer - I am guessing that my Market App is not aware of my new found Flash.BTW- I can browse to BBC IPlayer and it works fine.Am I correct in thinking that the Market App has to to be aware of the functionality of the tablet and filters accordingly? Is it possible to uninstall & re-install the Market App - The only options appear to be "Force Stop" & "Clear Data" ; these seem a bit brutal!

May 17, 2011I've downloaded some mp4 videos and noticed something strange.1 - When I plug xoom to my Windows 7 notebook, some of these files don't show up, no matter what I do.2 - The Gallery app doesn't show them either.3 - I can play them just fine with the defaut video player if I use any file manager to see the filesIt doesn't really matter where the files are. The videos that do show up can be in any folder and they both show up in gallery and on windows.

Sep 9, 2011Up till now I had been playing with a non US 3.1 Xoom. I would stick video content (mainly avi files encoded as divx) in the Movies folder. Selecting the Movie folder from Gallery would show all the content but the only program that would play them was Rockplayer which I had installed.
I know have a US Xoom with 3.2 firmware. With the same type of content in the Movies folder together with a MP4 file encoded with Handbrake to specs that the Xoom can play, Gallery only shows me that MP4 file. The other files just don't show up at all. The only way I can play them is to use ES Filemanager to browse that folder and click the filename to play it or use Rockplayer's explorer interface.

Oct 30, 2011We bought a Xoom to use on vacation instead of taking a laptop. I want to download photos and videos taken with my Canon Camera into my Xoom. I have the adapter for the Canon that allow me to convert the SDHD to a Micro SD, so that I can pop in ito the Xoom. I can view the photos fronm the Canon card on the Xoom, but it won't let me download them into the device. I don't want to have to go thru a computer to do this. So is it possible to download from the SD card onto the Xoom.
Also, when we watch the videos that were recorded on the Canon with the Xoom, they are at a slowed down speed. Would seem that if they were actually downloaded to the Xoom, it would take care of this issue.
I do not want to use the Xoom to take these photos. My Canon camera is the device we will use to capture the photos for multiple reasons.
Motorola Xoom :: Update Very Slow To Download?
Oct 6, 2011So I am a total noob here, I purchased my XOOM 3 days ago and already I am totally frustrated and annoyed with Motorola and there customer service, or the lack there of. It's beyond me how a 6Sigma company who holds their suppliers to such strict standards can have so little regard for their customers and their level of satisfaction.With that off my chest, I wonder if any of you bright individuals can help me out. As I said I purchased my Xoom 3 days ago and after unpacking it I wanted to put my SD card in to retrieve some pictures and other files from my old tablet. I found the slot and removed the plastic piece and saw there was something written in it. It said "Replace with Micro SD only after Android system update". I thought that was odd but went ahead and started the update to 3.1. Well it has been downloading ever since and is now at a whopping 3%.
My Wi-Fi connection appears good and fast, I can download apps from the market in seconds and the web is quick.I started a service call regarding this; you can probably guess how that is going, even though they say, once you jump through all the hoops, that you will receive a reply within one business day. Apparently I am unfamiliar with what constitutes a 'business day'.

Jul 20, 2011I am unable to download, view or save zip attachments. I cannot do it in gmail or the stock email app using a pop account. There is no view, preview, download, or save button. There is only an "info" button in both the gmail and stock email apps. When I select "Info" it says this file cannot be downloaded or saved.
I have tried several different file managers including ES, Astro, AndroZip and All Downloads but still get the same result. All other attachments work fine

Jul 22, 2011I used the XOOM stock browser, and went to a web site that provides a visitor to download a file from it's web page by clicking on the file's label. By doing so, there is an arrow downloading shown on my XOOM, but it failed afterward. I let it ran for a while and then it failed. I am not be able to download anything from any web sites.
Is there any way to get correct this problem? The work around that I did was to downloading the file to my PC (using Chrome browser), and then moved it to XOOM.
