May 25, 2012Tablet keeps freezing up every time you use it? I've contacted Motorola support and sent it back, but all I keep getting is that shouldn't be happening.

Motorola Xoom :: Browser Still Has Weird Graphics Effects From Time To Time?
Jun 19, 2011Although the browser is significantly improved from 3.0, it still has the distinction of being the only app I've seen with bizarre graphics effects. They don't happen with the same frequency as before 3.1 but they are still pretty freakish.Just a few minutes ago, I wanted to post about the delay switching between apps, and I woke my tablet up, hit the home button (leaving the apps market) and flipped over to my bookmarks screen and tapped the one for Motorola Forum. I was presented with a screen which flickered extremely rapidly between a partially rendered apps market and the browser. This continued for maybe half a minute, until the apps market finally won out. The browser must have died, since it was not in the recent apps list when I then checked it. However, the usual dialog to force close or report was not given.
I launched the browser again, logged into this forum, and tapped start discussion, and I was given the form to do so, but when I tapped the subject textbox, it did not render the typical focus border and flashing caret, and even though the keyboard (I use swipeIt) would let me enter words, they were not being displayed in the textbox (although tapping the textbox again, positioned the caret as if there were characters in the box)
Motorola Xoom :: Freezing Up After LTE Upgrade?
Oct 26, 2011This morning is the second time that my Motorola Xoom has frozen up on me since I received it back from Motorola after the 4G LTE upgrade. I never had any problems whatsoever with this tablet prior to the upgrade. Each time required me to perform a reset via the power and volume up buttons and could be related to either the hardware upgrade, Android 3.2.2 OS upgrade that they added or even to various applications that might not be playing well with the OS upgrade.

Jan 23, 2012i have had my Xoom since it first came out and think that it is still one of the best tablets out there. Unfortunately lately I have been noticing that when I go to power it on that it will occassionally freeze on the "dual core" screen. It's not every time but more than I like.

May 4, 2011I have the Xoom set to automatic date/time. I turn on Airplane mode (with WiFi on) to conserve battery. Runs most of the day at the office OK. I think it is OK at home as well. Plug it in to charge overnight (Xoom still on). Wake up in the morning and the time is all wrong.
I then turn Airplane mode off. The Xoom connects to 3G and sets the clock again.
Can't figure out why the clock (once automatically set to the right time), would change after a period of time.
Motorola Xoom :: WiFi Webpages Time Out When G-Tab Online
Apr 25, 2012My Xoom has always had some issues picking up the wifi signal in my house (probably due to the old lathe and plaster walls), so I installed a Hawking HWREN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Range Extender to give me better range.
This has worked marvelously... until my husband's Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 plus entered the picture. Now, whenever he gets online with his G-tab, my Xoom will lose connection. Perhaps, not lose connection per se... if I stand in the room where the router (or range extender) is located, web pages will load. However, if I am anywhere near his G-tab, pages will time out and not load.
I am not educated enough to know if this is a RFI issue, or something I can configure differently so we can both be connected simultaneously. It is almost as if his tab is hogging all of the bandwidth...

The gtalk remains online while i am using xoom but then after standby time my status goes to idle for the friends in my contact list and if they send me any message in this state I cant receive them and if they try to call me then the caller party hears the bell that as if it should be while someone calls on gtalk but i cant get the notification of call or any ring. Why Gtalk cant get calls on my xoom although it seems online to others in standby mode......is it some bug in android?

What I am refering to is, the device OS is working but I try to open apps and nothing is happening, I can hit the home key and the apps button and they work but opening any apps nothing will happen. Sometime the apps will partialy open but sit there.
What i noticed when this is happening is the device is syncing. I am assuming it is doing my facebook, picasa, you tube, and twitter sync. Somethimes it recovers and works and sometimes it has the sync symbol an hour later and I have to reboot the device.

Feb 22, 2012My Motorola Atrix 2, already OTA'ed to 2.3.6, sometimes doesn't turn on after I have put it in sleep (normal screen-off sleep). I push the power button and the screen goes off, then next time I need it, it's apparently dead. Actually it's not dead, because after I pull and reinsert the battery, it turns on, so the battery has still some juice in it. As of now, it happened only with the phone in airplane mode (hence, with me sleeping in the bed), so this may be a clue. Also my battery settings are set to maximum savings. Also, a couple times, it happened after I had just sleeped the phone, for I tried to turn it on after a few seconds and it was already frozen.

Nov 13, 2011My Motorola Spice freezes quite often. I'll be using an App, or trying to dial someone, browsing my phone, etc and a lot of times the phone will just freeze. Buttons cannot be pressed or anything. All you can do is sit there and annoyingly wait for 3 minutes for the phone to automatically restart and load itself back up. Why does it do this? Is there any way to fix this problem? It's really annoying and frustrating. I can't even check for system updates (currently have Android 2.1) because it keeps saying "Cannot be checked at this time" and Mobilicity isn't even listed as a carrier to check the software update on the site. My phone also lags a lot. I noticed I have to wait for the phone to "catch up with me" (i.e. texting or loading). Is there any way I can increase or better my phone's performance? I don't know what's the problem and if I should get it sent in to Motorola to get it fixed.
