May 14, 2012I have recently updated my blackberry curve 9300 and for some reason keeps freezing all the time and it never did that before the update. why it keeps freezing?

Nov 17, 2012My Torch is freezing up for a few seconds at a time and a small black square appears mid screen, with a clock hand whirring round. Then it 'un-freezes' and continues to work in a normal way. Until it freezes again!

BB Curve 8500 :: Unable To Access Media Card Content From Time To Time
Aug 12, 2010I am using BB 8520 Curve with the default external memory (2 Gb). I have music files (*.mp3, *.wma) as well as picture files (captured through the device itself).What happens is, from time to time I am unable to access the media card content. If I go to music, I can see the entries if I go to any of the menu filters, All Songs/Artists/Albums/Genres .. etc. But when I click on the song itself, the music player opens with a message "This playlist contains no valid songs". Also, during this time, my device rings with the default tunes on a call, even if I have set custom profile ring tones.Similarly, if I go to Media->Pictures, I can see a thumbnail preview of the photos, however on trying to open a file it just presents me with a black screen. The contact picture or the desktop custom wallpaper, however is rendered as expected.If I reboot my device by taking off the battery, things get working again.I am experiencing this issue quite frequently, almost every day. I tried to find out a trend for the behaviour, however could not make any such consistent observations.Does anyone in the forum has faced similar issue? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. This is really being a disturbing trait with my otherwise so cool BB.

Mar 19, 2010I went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options.What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.

It says contact service provider when i goingt o use third party applications. BIt dosent correct the issue when i restart my phone either. But when i switch off the phone and replace battey. then wait few seconds and again switch on the phone internet is working fine for some time.Im curious about this issue hence its a intermittentl one. Oct 24, 2012I purchased two blackberry 9320s within this month and the first week, all was good and the phone worked brilliantly. Now, this phone freezes at least 10 times a day, irrespective of whether I am just playing a game on the phone or accessing something. It is becoming a real pain...had it been just the one phone, I would have said that it was something on the phone but this is happening on both the phones at random times. Is there some software that could resolve this? Is it the phone itself that is the problem? I am not happy with this. The fact that it is less than a month old says something. I don't even download onto the phone and am having these issues. There is not much on the phone at the moment as well.

Oct 26, 2012I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. It has been freezing a lot lately. I will press buttons the scroll button and nothing happens, then a minute later or so, it will sort of wake up and start responding again.The email, Facebook, and internet has always been extemely slow, but I think this is because I have only one bar of service most of the time.
The freezing thing happens in a variety of places - when I'm checking emails, trying to open icons from the home page, want to make a call, or most annoyingly, when I need to adjust the volume. Basically, it is having about a 30 second delay on waking up all the time, even when currently in use.

Aug 25, 2012My BlackBerry 9300 curve is (usually) freezing after the booting progress bar has reached the end. Occasionally, I can get it to connect to my Desktop Software. And very occasionally, after trying to connect, it goes into some unrecognisable text version of its screen. I'm able to scroll about on this and try various things, but I keep getting Java errors. After a number of these I got a message saying "AppError 601" and the phone rebooted. Hasn't shown particular signs of life yet (back to freezing at the end of its boot progress).
I did manage successfully to use the resettofactory command from the MacOS terminal to get it to wipe. However, from the text-only screen, and judging by the documentation as well, it doesn't remove apps. And I'm guessing this is app-related.I've tried booting it in safe mode, which left me with a frozen screen with text in the background and a rectangular logo screen in the foreground (there's also a screenshot in the attachments).Even if none of this rings a bell with any of you, do any of you know how to delete the apps from the command line?

Jan 2, 2012My boyfriend recently got a BB from a friend to replace his broken one. when replacing the simcard the phone wouldn't turn on, not even when connected to a computer. So i tried to update the software however this failed and now the phone will boot to 2/3rds and then freezes. I have tried to wipe the phone and reinstall the OS however this doesnt work either. The program used to wipe does not connect to the phone and it appears I cannot overwrite the OS without wiping it first.
Whilst I'm at it... I have my own old curve which I then gave to my brother when I upgraded. He failed to tell me that he'd dropped it in water and just said the keys were broken so I was unable to dry it out at the time. The phone works but none of the keys or tracking pad do. I have upgraded the OS and even wiped the software and done a total reinstall and still no luck.

I've wiped the devices memory and its not possible to connect to the computer as for it connect it requires me to put a password in on my BB and since it is frozen it dosent allow me to choose this option.
