View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought an unlocked Blackberry Curve off of eBay, put my AT&T SIM card in it, and it worked great for about two weeks. Then I ignorantly downloaded a "free theme" and about a week after this, my Blackberry started freezing whenever I would go to make a phone call, the screen just goes black and it freezes until the hourglass comes up and the phone turns back on in about two minutes. Also, if someone tries to call me, my phone will do the exact same thing and they will go straight to voicemail. I have removed all the applications from my phone and done my best to wipe the entire system, but it still freezes whenever I try to make phone calls. It has pretty much stopped freezing at any other times besides when I am attempting to make phonecalls now so there is a slight improvement. Is there any way I can redownload the operating software (even though the phone is unlocked) or what else would be advised that I do?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have had the phone for just about six months, just got it back from Nokia Care services due to the phone freezing and shutting down and restarting on its own. But since I've got it back from Nokia, the phone keeps freezing up and sometimes when I receive calls, I cannot answer the call as the touch screen won't respond. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this as I can't be without my phone for another week like the last time I sent it in for servicing.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy M7 keeps randomly freezing while in use. It can happen when using pretty much any app, rarely making a call, texting, on the internet etc. When it freezes it keeps trying to reboot and keeps freezing till I manually shut it down for 10 - 20 minutes then restart it.
Broke down and did a factory reset the other night and tried only installing the bare necessities of apps back on after but problem persisted after a few hours. Warranty is gone so I'm wanting to do all the troubleshooting I can on my own before breaking down and paying for repairs.
my phone is keep freezing up (none of the buttons or touch screen work). I have tried returning it to factory settings, and also tried updating to the latest software, but nothing is working. Are there any other things i can try?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Torch from Orange Dominican Republic. I unlocked it and im using it for Tmobile....The actual problem is that I want to buy the Playbook and use it with my phone so I went to Best buy to test it... I was able to pair it because I read overthere that i needed the Blackberry bridge... Everything worked fine except the BBM won't bridge with the playbook.. I came home and read a lil bit online about it and noticed that I had to upgrade my BBM to 5.0.3.22 which I did... so when I went back to best buy to test it, I tried turning the bridge on and it froze my phone to the point that i had to remove the battery 3 times... I gave up and left Best buy with no success... I came home and the phone was still acting stupid, so I unninstalled the Bridge...
my concern is... why was it working fine before i upgraded my BBM to 5.0.3.22 (except for the BBM Bridge with playbook)... I mean it wouldn't freeze my torch or anything like that... I'm currently running os 6.0 bundle 695 (v6.0.0.246, platform 6.4.0.105)I really want the playbook but the main features im interested in is to bridge with my Torch..Another problem i have is that i can't download anything from the App world.. I could see apps but when I try to download it will say that the application is not available through app world... I mean ANY app that i try to download.
Had a phone call this morning and my phone fronze, didnt display the call screen but allowed me to answer the call.
Ever since then the phone has been freezing when slid open. Its fine when I keep it closed and just use the touch screen though.
Updated to the latest OS last week (V6.0.0.534).
Today I've:
Tried reboot.
Tried security wipe.
Tried rolling back to last OS release.
Tried latest OS.
Nothing works, still freezing when slid open. The screen has gone strange a couple of times, hard to explain but its green/red/blue colour only, and blurred.
I have a Sony Xperia z3 and when I go on facebook and watch any kind of video from different people or website my phone freezes then restarts the phone....
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy xperia z3 which was bought a week ago suddenly shows grains on the screen like when a tv shows when there is nothing played on screen. That time the phone is unresponsive. It turns back to normal after 5 minutes or so.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy my Samsung Galaxy S6 920F is rebooting and freezing about 10 or more times a day?
- I tried to perform a factory reset + wipe cache partition;
- Tried to use it in safe mode - still had issues;
- It is even sometimes freezing on boot menu (power+vol_up+home)
I had stock 5.1.1 on it, but if I remember correctly, then it was happening also before 5.1.1, but not 100% what version I had. About 3 weeks ago I had same issue, but then after factory reset it was gone for 2 weeks and last friday again faced with this issue.
I recently had intermittent freezing on the phone -- in apps (new and old), on the lock screen, on the launcher. After searching the Web, I did everything recommended--numerous soft resets, a couple of hard resets, consulted Samsung's technical chat room, took the phone to Samsung's local kiosk for a forced software update--nothing worked and the end result was that Samsung said it was a hardware problem and that I needed to send the phone in to Samsung for a look at the hardware. Before doing that, I looked at the system and saw that it did not show any storage information for the SD card. I replaced the SD card and it fixed the problem--the phone is operating just fine. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation if somewhere along the line someone had thought to look at the SD card -- apparently a bad SD card can cause system instability on the S5.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi am experiencing repeated screen / phone freeze, i have had this happen at least half a dozen times of late. It seemed to start after the latest update, which had a QT update included. Can't pin it down to any particular app either. Getting really frustrated at having to reset my phone, which I've had to do twice in the last 12 hours.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI swapped iphone with my cousin, for a blackberry torch, the phone not that old, 6 months max, but the last week the phone started freezing and crushing, so i looked on fourms, and ended up doing a fresh install off the Os and formated the memory card and did not save the old settings.
But the phone kept on doing the same thing, so i wiped the Os, installed the most uptodate Os i could find, and it still keeps on crashing and sometimes it will do this as the phone loads, as it finishes loading up, or after couple hours.
So its safe to say, it cant be a app, or Os playing up.
Also the main thing i have noticed if the phone stays nice and cool, the phone will work fine, but once the phone warms up a little bit, thats when it starts to crash/freeze/reboot, but sometimes the phone will not turn on after putting the battery back, you have to leave the phone for 5 mins or so.
Could it be a type off thermal cut off to protect the phone? or battery? But the only thing i cant understand is, the phone or battery dont get hot, just warm.
when i tap to answering incoming call my phone freeze and restarting.i see this bug after updating to android 5.1.1

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I recently gave my 1520 away to someone and it keeps freezing randomly. It never did that with me before. Like literally freezing every few minutes and what not. I never had that issue with my 1520 and now they are having this issue and idk what could be causing it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSomething weird has started happening to my Nokia Icon. It's been working great but lately I wake up to a frozen phone! I go to sleep, and it's working normally, then in the morning I push the "wake" button and the screen comes on, usually showing a time from a few hours earlier, and then it's frozen. I have to do a reset to restart the phone and then it works fine. I thought at first it was because I was leaving it on the charging pillow but it happens even if it's just sitting on the table.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I have updated my Samsung S5 to Android v5.0 I am finding that my phone locks up while it is on wireless charge. I have the samsung back cover and also the samsung wireless dock for wireless charging.
It does not happen everytime I charge the phone via wireless charging. But since I've updated which was around two weeks ago. It has done it three times approx.
I just see a dulled Samsung screen and the phone is unresponsive to any buttons including holding down the power button to turn the phone off. I end up having to pull out the battery and replace it again in order to get the phone to work again.
I have a Droid X and I recently decided to upgrade my sd card to a PNY 16gb card. For some reason, every time I add music to the card I attempt to play the music and it might work fine but after a few songs, the phone slows down and freezes. I've added music to the card a few different ways and I keep getting the same results. For instance, I initially put the card in the phone and formatted it and connected it to my pc with the usb cord and transferred songs that way had issues. Then I used a card reader and formatted the card on the pc, loaded up songs then installed the card into the phone had issues. The only time I had a little 'success' was when I added songs via usb to the card little by little. I added 2 album and used it for a little bit and it seemed fine. Then I added 2 more albums and it seemed ok. By the time I hit about 10-12 albums it got bogged down and the phone froze up on me. I don't know if this matters but in each case I'm just creating a folder called 'Music' and I put all the songs into it.
I'm not sure if the 16gb card is too 'big' or if maybe the type of card I have is wrong. I've also read some stuff about 'media scans'. Does the phone automatically scan new files that are on the sd card and by adding too many at a time the phone just slows down to a crawl?
I'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!
View 9 Replies View RelatedOut of the blue my phone just started freezing up. I've had to do 5 hard resets today. I've updated to 8.1 but have really had no issues until today.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 1520 has been driving me nuts lately. I'll be using it and then it was start going crazy. For example, I'll be watching a video and suddenly it will start vibrating as is I'm hitting the navigation keys and it will act as if someone has hit the back button a few times, then the home button, and then Cortana. It always freezes after this and I either have to wait 10 minutes or so to get the touch screen or navigation buttons to respond (volume, camera and lock button all work fine), or I have to soft reset the phone. Sometimes I can go a few hours and be fine, sometimes it will start doing this every 10 minutes.
It started doing it shortly after I got the 8.1 update, so I thought it may be related. I did a hard reset and then used the Nokia recovery tool and am still having the problems.
While I love the Hardware , Windows 8.1 and apps still make using the 1520 problematical, I've had it for about 9 months but will probably go back to IOS or Android when I hit my upgradability, about 4 times yesterday when I was at an event where I need to take pictures the phone using kept rebooting on me, it may have been the cold it was about 32 degrees, but it really makes it difficult to use the phone in meaningful ways when apps and the OS do not behave, and it's little things like the phone freezing, rebooting or becoming unstable that make it hard to stay with the 1520 no matter how much I love the HW.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAt least 8 to 10 times per day my new GS6 will lag and freeze when changing screens or going between applications. I must leave it alone for 15 to 20 seconds until it catches up. Happening to my wife's new GS6 as well.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy one month old S6 Edge fell down last week and the front glass broke. However I used the phone normally until today when I got the display replaced in a store. With an original out of the box display from Samsung. After that I noticed that the back and app key (the lowest touch buttons one the front) did not light up at all, although they did work. When I put the phone in the flip wallet cover it went dark and did not respond anymore. I could here it getting emails or phone calls but the screen kept black.
I pushed Volume Down and Off buttons until it restarted, with normal screen (the touch buttons also lit up for a second) but after loading normally the screen went black again. If I took it out of the wallet cover it lit up, the two keys also lit up, but the keys did not work at all. Again forced restart. Without the wallet cover the phone starts normally and works except that the touch buttons stay black, but they work. The moment I insert it into the cover it goes black. It must have something to do with the magnet sensor?
