May 8, 2012Was just wondering if its possible to mute the incoming call ring without rejecting the call? I have seen that feature in some htc phones and tried on my phone but it didnt work.

Feb 9, 2010I bought an unlocked Blackberry Curve off of eBay, put my AT&T SIM card in it, and it worked great for about two weeks. Then I ignorantly downloaded a "free theme" and about a week after this, my Blackberry started freezing whenever I would go to make a phone call, the screen just goes black and it freezes until the hourglass comes up and the phone turns back on in about two minutes. Also, if someone tries to call me, my phone will do the exact same thing and they will go straight to voicemail. I have removed all the applications from my phone and done my best to wipe the entire system, but it still freezes whenever I try to make phone calls. It has pretty much stopped freezing at any other times besides when I am attempting to make phonecalls now so there is a slight improvement. Is there any way I can redownload the operating software (even though the phone is unlocked) or what else would be advised that I do?

Dec 27, 2010I was having probs with phone totally freezing on a call; wouldn't turn off or anything. So it ran out've battery and i did the upgrade software thing from my computer. However, i didn't back up files as phone was new so didn't have anything on it and didn't think was necessary but now non of the phone works.

I have done a factory reset cleared all the caches and it is still there.
What I did narrow it down to is the priority calling in the sound setting if I go to interruptions then select priority interruptions and leave "incoming calls" unchecked I am able to get and answer calls. As soon as I check incoming calls it gives me the phone stopped error.

A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!

Oct 15, 2012I have a blackberry curve 8350 and after every phone call I get a screen that pops up and it says the name of the caller and I have 3 options ok, back and I think cancel no matter which option I pick it shuts down and reboots and that takes about 5 minutes... the first 2 times it happened I brought it back to the store and the first time the lady punched some numbers in and it was fine the next time the owner went on the computer and did somthing it was fine but he is away for 2 weeks and everybody at the stoe is clueless

My wife rang me yesterday. The answer screen lit up, but there was no ringing sound. I noticed that the icon for 'sound off' was showing at the top. I answered, we spoke and she rang off. The icon changed to 'sound on'!
I have tested this. I watch my phone and ring myself using other phones. As soon as the screen lights up with an incoming call the 'sound-off' icon appears and the phone does not ring. I can still accept the call and have a conversation. When I hang up, the icon returns to 'sound-on'.
I've cracked it. I have an app called Extreme Call Blocker which has just had an update. It appears that this was causing the problem. I turned off the app and Z2 rang perfectly.
