Anyone having trouble sending mail? I have a POP 3 account with COX San Diego. I can recieve mail but I can NOT send mail. This phone does not have SSL. I tried 587 in the settings along with all of the other info, identical to the other phone ( EVO 4G) and my Outlook setting on my home PC (except for the 587 port) Home pc has 25 there.

I can send email from the phone and it shows up in the sent folders on my desktop computers (i.e. it is actually sent) but the sent folder on the phone remains empty.
Incoming mail is fine. how I can get the sent mail to show up in the sent folder on the phone?

I want to be able to send emails through my window mail when my blackberry is connected to my laptop. I have no problem with internet access and receiving emails through windows mail, however it will not let me send emails (no problems when sending from my blackberry when not connected)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI think perhaps one email was successfully sent from Mail, but nothing more till I returned home. Mail said it was a server error on the outgoing server, but it appears too coincidental with being overseas. Also a couple of apps I tried didn't work (Viber, and as I might have expected, Catchup TV as it's for UK viewers).
Any tips for using the phone overseas? I switched data roaming and Mobile Data off as I didn't need them in the hotel room (and for the cost of course) and switched these both back on when I arrived in the UK. But it seems odd that I could not send Mail in a Wifi environment.

I am able to access the internet, but I cannot download anything from the market... If I connect via a wifi connection, then I can download. My old smart phone HTC HERO, was able to download from anywhere, not connected to a hot spot or wifi... I buy a phone that is supposed to be faster and better, but I'm not seeing it. I have only had the phone for 3 days, and i'm already starting to think I have made a bad decision. We do not have 4G in the area, but even 3G is faster then this phone.

One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."

I can view them just fine on my phone, but as soon as I move them over to my computer the images are all invalid and I can't view them anymore. I've only tried with pictures I took with the camera on my phone so I don't know if this applies to downloaded images as well.
I searched around the forum and it seems a couple of people ran into this or something similar to this but I haven't come across a definite solution that doesn't require me to go online with my phone.
I have attempted to register my new Photon Q numerous times, logging out, logging back in, and approaching from several different angles using different "Register" links on different pages, and trying MEID and IMEI.When using MEID HEX the server will check the S/N and reply that my IMEI S/N is in warranty, then several seconds later it will overlay the screen with a complaint from the server:"There was an issue with the serial number you entered or it was blank. Please try again."One can dismiss that complaint and continue with the attempted registration, selecting carrier, MFN, and Primary Device, adding purchase date and clicking submit, but that only take one to abject failure:"There has been an error with your request."Perhaps it is because the Photon Q is so new? Perhaps it is because your registration page has a problem.

I have 4 apps on the very bottom of my home screen. When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?
When I tap on the camera to launch it, it would quickly flicker as if it were going to open but then immediately just go back to my home screen. "camera unable to initialize" error..I did a reboot and a factory reset it did NOT fix the issue. I am also unable to play any music.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI used the Moto software to back up my phone yesterday, and since then it won't connect to wi-fi. It finds the signal, starts looking for an IP address, then stips the process. I've tried to turn off 3G and 4G, together and in combinations, updated PRL and profile, but to no avail. Even rebooted the router to make sure something wasn't wrong with it and other devices in the house are working just fine. Not sure if this has anything to do with the backup, but it's a problem I've never had before.

I've had my photon for two days and have been unable to add my facebook account to the phone itself. I'm able to add the app and use it but I cannot directly add it like I did my google account. I've factory reset, successfully added other people's facebook, changed my password, changed my email in facebook so as to login under a different email.

Both are get before send and there is no log in needed.Every time I blank the username feild the application repopulates it with my email address. Ive downloaded apps like readers and a different yahoo app but no luck - still unable to download those attachments. 1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.
2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.
3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"
My device is unable to detect any of the Bluetooth Headset. I have tried same with Nokia and Amkette bluetooth. Scanning does not list any of these bluetooth headeset.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.
