I've had my photon for two days and have been unable to add my facebook account to the phone itself. I'm able to add the app and use it but I cannot directly add it like I did my google account. I've factory reset, successfully added other people's facebook, changed my password, changed my email in facebook so as to login under a different email.
View 5 RepliesI have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.

I receive this error regardless of if I try to enter it from the Accounts area or if I attempt to add through Gallery --> Settings--> Quick upload for pictures --> Add account --> Picasa (Gallery)
I have been able to add other social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. This is the only one that I have found to give me errors
Well I have a similar probelm that, I cant sync my facebook contacts on my phone
1.I went to accounts
2. Clicked Add Account ( and nothing happens, I click and the facebook icon gets highlighted but thats it, no screen change and no contacts added)
I am a new owner of Photon 4g. I used to have a HTC touch. I am getting "login failed. please try again" message when I try to setup my corporate email.
1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.
2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.
3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"
I would like to upload a short video to facebook right from my phone. I can send a photo via quick upload but can't seem to send a video.

Is there another way to force the account to be removed?
Is there no easy way to remove a Corporate Sync Account? I am trying to remove the account I set up yesterday but the screen for remove account will not let me enter a username? As such, I don't even see how I can edit this current account from the phone. Is this not possible to do from the phone or do I have to do this from the company's Exchange server?

I enter the email info (my.name@mydomain.com), my password, the GoDaddy mail host name (pop.secureserver.net), port 110, security type NONE, and tap "Next." It thinks for a few seconds,with "Checking incoming server settings..." then comes back with "Couldn't finish:Username or password incorrect." (Server name, port, and security type are per GoDaddy directions.)

I have OS 6 on a blackberry curve 9300. I am wondering if there is any way to download pictures from my newsfeed without having to go to the mobile site through my browser. I would also like to know if there is an easier way to update my profile picture than to upload it, go to it and choose it. I have my Facebook account setup under the Facebook app and I am able to use Facebook as an option when I share photos but I am looking for the ability to have Facebook contacts show in the Contacts. I have an Evo 4G and I have the ability to have my Facebook contacts included with two Google accounts (work and personal) and would like to do so on my tablet as well. I installed the Facebook app from the Market, and now when I go to accounts, and click Add, I see 2 facebook icons (one produces the annoying Motorola terms & conditions screen and I suspect is tied into Blur somehow), the other is clearly the Facebook account that goes with the Facebook app, but when I click that one, nothing happens. Facebook allows users to call themselves whatever they want and unfortunately that is name that appears in my contact list instead of their proper name that I have put into contacts.For example, John Doe calls himself SuperJohn on Facebook and SuperJohn appears in my contact list, when that person calls or when I look them up to send a text message. Even after going into contacts and confirming their fname and lname is John Doe the phone insist on calling them SuperJohn. It wouldn't be so bad, but a Facebook name can be changed on a whim AND it makes voicedial impossible.
