Something funky going on with my yahoo account. I can't remove it. I get no response when attempting to remove it from the phone from manage accounts. And when I view the account, the username field is blank and uneditable. I suspect thats why i can't remove it. What's going on? is there a way to clear my email account or at least set the username?

Today I recieved an Authorization Error notification and since then I have been unable to use that yahoo mail account on my messaging app. I have tried removing the account and adding it again and also changing the password via my PC but it is still giving me an error message on my Bionic saying "Login to the account failed , please try again." Has anyone had any problems with their Droid Bionic's messaging app & yahoo mail account

I am unable to add my Yahoo email account using the Nokia Messaging Mobile Email <https://netac72.vie.hosting.nokia.com/account/home.action> I was able to use it before and I canceled my subscription in yahoo because I signed up a new subscription using my Gmail account and it works with the Gmail. however, when I try to add another email account again which is my yahoo mail, it won't work with my yahoo mail anymore. Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

I have a Nokia Messaging account that I created during the first appear of Nokia Messaging service and now with Movistar Spain subscription. In my account I have 2 Google Mail Accounts (Normal and Apps), a MobileMe account and Yahoo IMAP (spanish address) account.
All the accounts work correctly except Yahoo account. What happen? That I have emails in the inbox of mail mobile 3 days old, the old emails from third day suddenly became unreaded, I open to read, and are marked as read, but after some time (30min, 1hour) or some time like this became unreaded suddenly. For example today some emails, in the case of today 15 emails from 13th of january became unread again again and again.
It's annoying because with this behaviour there's no way to know how really new emails you have and also for every time the email is marked as unread the mobile spend time and battery notifying me. There's someone else that has this problem? Any propose or solution?
I try to delete the Yahoo account in my Nokia Messaging account and create a new one with the address, but the problem come back again and again. A solution could be to classify all the email every day in folders keeping my Inbox of Yahoo account in server clean, but there's some day that I have no time to do this work.

My Yahoo! Mail account is associated with Gmail. I also have Yahoo mail separate app. The reason I associated my yahoo mail account with my Gmail app was the yahoo mail app's head was stuck in its arse (its performance sucked) . But there are two notifications for the same email and more importantly the yahoo mail app has started to do better- meaning I am not uninstalling it.
So my intention is now I want to remove the yahoo account from the Gmail. The problem is whenever I go to the Gmail app on my phone and remove the yahoo account By clicking remove account, it is gone. But, when I hit the yahoo mail app it starts from scratch like asking for username password and then showing "initialising mailbox". And finally the yahoo mail is again associated with Gmail !
My Yahoo was working. Then I installed my work email with Corporate Sync. Yahoo worked for a few hours and then would not update. I have deleted and re-added. I can send emails from my Yahoo account to my work email but cannot download and view the emails in my Yahoo inbox. I have a Photon 4G. I have tried all steps through WI-FI, 4G, and 3G - with same result.

Ive downloaded apps like readers and a different yahoo app but no luck - still unable to download those attachments. I havnt found any know issues or anything to support what im saying so maybe Im the only one.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI would like my phone to vibrate for text messages and all other notifications when set to silent without having it vibrate at all times, is this possible? If I go to menu/settings/sound/ and select vibrate in silent mode it won't vibrate when im in silent mode. The only way for it to vibrate is to go to Text messaging/menu/messaging settings/ and select vibrate(also vibrate when notified) but this makes the phone vibrate at all times which is what I dont want. I took the phone to a sprint repair center and the display model did the same thing, the tech just thought it was weird and that was it.....
View 11 Replies View RelatedI really wish the Photon would display the actual time when an incoming text was sent rather than the time the phone received it. For instance, someone sends me a text at 3am while my phone is turned off. Then at 8am I turn it back on and received the text. But I have no idea what time the text was actually sent because it will be marked as 8am. With previous phones I had it would always show the actual time it was sent. Is this a bug or are all android phones like this?

When I move between home screens, these icons stay in place.Calculator, maps, iD & a square I touch to open my applications. I am trying to remove/delete the calculator icon but am having trouble doing so.Any other app I can hold, it vibrates & turns red and I just drag it to the trash can. These 4 icons at the bottom of the screen don't.
When I touch the calculator icon, the calculator opens. When I touch and hold the icon for the calculator, it opens a new window that says ADD TO DOCK
and lists programs/apps to add to the dock. No options to remove.
Again, I can not hold it down to drag it to the trash can.
know how I can remove this calc icon? Is this bottom row on my screen something special where apps permanently reside?
I want to remove phone bloat: sprint wallet, sprint zone, playbooks, sprintID, google+ etc. Seems there is a multitude of pre-loaded apps which when I extend-press to access the option window the only options are Add to Home or Add to Group, Share & Uninstall are not available. I've turned off auto-update and I'm now receiving "notifications" every 3 - 4 days to update. Anyway to remove these or just kill them completely so they no longer attempt to update themselves?

The only issue I have now is a new one - I cannot add my Yahoo! Mail account back onto my phone. I am able to log into it via the web on both my phone and PC. I can login using the Yahoo! Mail App (which i really don't like). But I cannot add it using the "Accounts" options built into the phone.People have said that maybe it's Yahoo! thinking the account was hacked... so I've changed my password twice. I've done battery pulls before trying to re-add the account. I've tried everything I can think of short of doing either another factory reset or having verizon provide me with another new phone (actually they are sending me certified-preowned after they took my brand new Droid Pro and I later found out that wasn't necessary and I've had more issues with this phone than my original)

Is there no easy way to remove a Corporate Sync Account? I am trying to remove the account I set up yesterday but the screen for remove account will not let me enter a username? As such, I don't even see how I can edit this current account from the phone. Is this not possible to do from the phone or do I have to do this from the company's Exchange server?

I enter the email info (my.name@mydomain.com), my password, the GoDaddy mail host name (pop.secureserver.net), port 110, security type NONE, and tap "Next." It thinks for a few seconds,with "Checking incoming server settings..." then comes back with "Couldn't finish:Username or password incorrect." (Server name, port, and security type are per GoDaddy directions.)

I've had my photon for two days and have been unable to add my facebook account to the phone itself. I'm able to add the app and use it but I cannot directly add it like I did my google account. I've factory reset, successfully added other people's facebook, changed my password, changed my email in facebook so as to login under a different email.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI inadvertently activated the AT&T address book when I first got the Atrix 2..not knowing that I even had an AT&T address book account.I called AT&T and they deleted the account and any associated contacts with it on their end,however, they had no clue how to remove the account from the phone and said it was a Motorola issue.I deleted all contacts off my phone and now my contacts are just synced with Google(all AT&T address book contacts are gone) but the option to sync with AT&T address book is still an option in settings.The account shows up with a "locked" symbol next to it.
