I am coming from a Samsung Epic 4G. I have two email accounts and would rather use separate email in boxes. Is there a way to create a shortcut for each different inbox?

Currently I have: Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue. Which are *REALLY* hard to tell the difference between all 3 colors when just glancing at the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've set up several non-gmail POP email accounts using the MoPho Q's ICS built-in email app just like I had done on my MoPho 4G, but one on a GoDaddy hosted domain won't work. I enter the email info (my.name@mydomain.com), my password, the GoDaddy mail host name (pop.secureserver.net), port 110, security type NONE, and tap "Next." It thinks for a few seconds,with "Checking incoming server settings..." then comes back with "Couldn't finish:Username or password incorrect." (Server name, port, and security type are per GoDaddy directions.)

1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.
2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.
3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"
I was hoping to have access to the universal inbox from the homepage, but cannot figure out how to get a shortcut/widget placed there.

I want a shortcut that takes me to my SMS inbox directly. Currently I have one for the messaging application, but that requires me to click "down" (to select Inbox) and then "open".I've searched around a bit and it doesn't seem possible - you can only define shortcuts for applications. But wouldn't it be possible to make an app that opens the inbox and point a shortcut to it? If such an application for S60 exists, I would appreciate if someone could link to it.Yeah, I know it's just two extra clicks the current way, but it's these kind of small things I find annoying with my new Nokia phone (a 6730 classic) - "with so many options, why can't I configure something this basic?". Well, hopefully someone has a good solution, and if not, I guess I can live with it.

I receive the following error when attempting to add my existing Picasa account: Error There was an error creating your account. Please try again.
I receive this error regardless of if I try to enter it from the Accounts area or if I attempt to add through Gallery --> Settings--> Quick upload for pictures --> Add account --> Picasa (Gallery)
I have been able to add other social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. This is the only one that I have found to give me errors
I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

Is there no easy way to remove a Corporate Sync Account? I am trying to remove the account I set up yesterday but the screen for remove account will not let me enter a username? As such, I don't even see how I can edit this current account from the phone. Is this not possible to do from the phone or do I have to do this from the company's Exchange server?

And when I view the account, the username field is blank and uneditable. I suspect thats why i can't remove it. What's going on? is there a way to clear my email account or at least set the username?

I've had my photon for two days and have been unable to add my facebook account to the phone itself. I'm able to add the app and use it but I cannot directly add it like I did my google account. I've factory reset, successfully added other people's facebook, changed my password, changed my email in facebook so as to login under a different email.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.

In our Outlook email account we have certain emails redirected into subfolders in our incoming email. For example we have an inbox and under the inbox is a subfolder where all 'delivery ticket' emails are redirected into. On the Admirals there is an icon alert and also an audio alert every time there is an incoming message in our email account. However the only time we get the subfolder emails is by going into the email folder, clicking on the inbox then the subfolder and letting it refresh that way. I looked through EVERYWHERE trying to see if I could set it to automatically refresh. Also is there a reason I don't get any type of alert when an emails comes into that subfolder? I even tried adding a shortcut directly onto one of the main screens only for this subfolder but I can't do it. I can only add a shortcut for the main inbox.

When I receive an email on a particular account, I can access it just fine through the notification bar. What I haven't been able to do is figure out (short of changing the primary account under settings), is how to seemlessly go from one account to another within the app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just activated a Photon and I think I made a huge mistake. The email client only syncs 30 days' worth of email? There's no way to sync older messages? I don't keep much in my inbox but I do keep messages older than 30 days and I need to go back to them from time to time.I suppose the obvious workaround is to use a 3rd party mail program, but please let me know if there is a workaround. I was stunned to see this limitation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave Photon for 10 months. Did firmware update (45.4.13.MB855.Sprint.en.US) a few weeks ago, no change in operation. A few days ago, phone stopped retrieving mail from Android mail app and from Yahoo Mail app. I've always had "Battery & data manager" > Battery Mode > (set to) Maximum battery saver. Always retrieved mail as appropriate for mode.
Tried nighttime saver and performance mode. Pulled battery. Still no mail retrieval. If I open mail apps, they will retrieve mail, but not automatically as before.
I've had the Photon for about two weeks now and tried time and again to configure my AOL e-mail as IMAP, not POP, which I don't like.I have been able to get it to work as POP mail, but not IMAP. Why is that? I don't think it's an Android thing, because I had AOL e-mail configured as IMAP delivery on my last phone, the HTC Hero.how to make AOL work on the Photon with IMAP protocol?

I can send emails from my Yahoo account to my work email but cannot download and view the emails in my Yahoo inbox. I have a Photon 4G. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a motorola photon Q 4GLTE. Used to have the Samsung Moment. On this motorola I can take videos in HD 1080 or HD 720 and 3 other lower settings but none of them will send via text or email. Message says the file is to large and to use the Video MMS setting. I used that setting and the quality of the video is awful and the sound is almost inaudible. but it will send in a text. How can I send or convert my HD videos to mms and send them via text and email? Do I only have the option of the video MMS mode? If so....I would much rather have my samsung moment back. took much better pictures and sent high quality videos. I have searched high and low and went to a sprint repair store and there are no answers to my problem. The store said they are made like that and don't have good quality mms settings. I can't believe this is so. Is there an app or a setting to fix this problem
