I currently have 5 email accounts tied to the combined (blur?) inbox on my phone. When I receive an email on a particular account, I can access it just fine through the notification bar. What I haven't been able to do is figure out (short of changing the primary account under settings), is how to seemlessly go from one account to another within the app.

The idea of a universal inbox is obviously appealing, for I get all five of my email addresses on my phone. I am also a bit of a minimalist, in that the less shortcuts I have on my phone, the happier I am. The question that I have is how do I add additional accounts to the iniversal inbox.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf you have multiple email accounts setup in the email client, how do you switch between the accounts? It would be real intuitive if that little drop down arrow next to the account name was to select another account but all that does is bring up options for the inbox, sent, etc. The only way I know is to go into config and set the default account to the one you currently want to look at. It can't be that hard!

Currently I have: Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue. Which are *REALLY* hard to tell the difference between all 3 colors when just glancing at the phone.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have been using various Android phones now for quite a while (including some Motorola ones) and I've never had this happen before..I have multiple email accounts setup on my phone (both Exhange and POP). In the past, I could use the "Email" icon and tap on the name of the email account at the top and it would drop down a list of email accounts on the phone and then I could choose the one that I wanted. Now, when I click on the name of the email account, I get a list of folders on the default account. I cannot find a way to switch accounts other than going to the Messaging icon and picking it there. I do not like the universal inbox. I would love to know a shortcut if anyone has figured this out other than having to go to the messaging section.

Initially, one of my accounts kept falling out of Push into Fetch.Last night I did a factory reset to see if that would help. Of course, to make things interesting, this morning I had the new firmware update waiting to be installed, so I let that go in.Strange enough, now both my accounts are falling from push to fetch. Im a long time DX user, so I'm sure I have my settings correct. When I run that "verify server" it comes back with "success" Doing some searching, I got a hit on the Bionic forum, but no resolution....[URL]
View 4 Replies View Relatedi am having problems with my bionic adding accounts under the my accounts settings area. every time i try to add my picasa, facebook, Internet, or twitter it says 'an error has occurred please try again later'. when trying to add an email account it says auto setup is not available for the provider (tried with my gmail, yahoo, hotmail, & verizon accounts). i got around that by finding the manual values to fill in for each provider account, but that's just email. i am pretty miffed on the others not working.
mostly because i would like to have picasa in my gallery and be able to share photos from gallery or after taking with camera app to picasa and/or facebook. i do not want to have the facebook for android app on my phone, so just having the account set up in blur would be sufficient. i have tried taking my timezone off the automatic setting and retrying to add picasa account, still no joy. still in my 14 day trial with the bionic and am certainly being swayed by this issue
How do you get rid of that number telling me how many unread emails I have in my combined email box.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

It went from 3G or 4G then to no connection, then to all bars and no indication of 3G or 4G, then finally the 3G or 4G showed up and all was good. My "old" Razr Maxx never had this lag.

Certain received messages show up with no subject and with the timestamp as 0 UTC (1/1/1970) but adjusted for timezone. The problem e-mails look perfectly fine when viewed on a computer. The same problem was reported some time ago in thisthread:https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/100304Incidentally enough, all the e-mail notifcations generated when there is a response to a thread I've created (in this forum) show the same behavior, so it should be easy enough for Motorola to duplicate (hint hint).

On the Verizon site I get a message during activation saying my unlimited data plan is not compatible and I am given other data options. Unlimited is included in the list so I am not worried about switching TO the old phone. My question is this:
If you are reactivating a 4G device coming from a 3G-only device, will you lose your grandfathered unlimited data plan on Verizon?
My Yahoo mail stopped updating this last week, so I removed the managed account and attempted to re-add it, but it will not log into the Yahoo mail account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got two accounts set up on the stock email app. But the only way I can switch from one to the other is to go into settings and which ever one I set as default is the only one I see.When I hit menu there is no option for 'accounts' and if I hit the account name at the top it drops down and shows me the folders for that account.One is a gmail account one is an imap account.
