I've got two accounts set up on the stock email app. But the only way I can switch from one to the other is to go into settings and which ever one I set as default is the only one I see.When I hit menu there is no option for 'accounts' and if I hit the account name at the top it drops down and shows me the folders for that account.One is a gmail account one is an imap account.

I know it was built using the stock app. I wonder if when I uninstalled Enhanced Email it took a toll on my stock? (I have another thread trying to figure out why I can't switch between accounts)
Can I download and reinstall the stock email app?
I have multiple emails. However, when I am in the email app, I cannot find an easy way to switch between accounts other than settings and changing the default account. Am I missing something, or was this phone really setup with only 1 email in mind?

I go to add an account to it, and i select facebook, and i enter my email and pass, and then it loads for a little bit, then i come to another screen where my password is already entered, but the email box is greyed out, and it wont let me go any further until i enter an email, but since the box is greyed out i cant do anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. I am just wondering if there is anything else that could be draining the battery or a way to fix it?

Currently I have to go into settings and set one or the other as default to see the emails Or Wait for an email to come in, and go into it from the notifications. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy (Android 2.2), as that had an option for 'combined inbox'
I can send and receive emails, however when I reply then go back to 'folders' and check them or to forward the message to someone else, the 'sent' and 'outbox' folders are empty. This occurs both with my POP personal account and non-enterprise IMAP account I set up for work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using various Android phones now for quite a while (including some Motorola ones) and I've never had this happen before..I have multiple email accounts setup on my phone (both Exhange and POP). In the past, I could use the "Email" icon and tap on the name of the email account at the top and it would drop down a list of email accounts on the phone and then I could choose the one that I wanted. Now, when I click on the name of the email account, I get a list of folders on the default account. I cannot find a way to switch accounts other than going to the Messaging icon and picking it there. I do not like the universal inbox. I would love to know a shortcut if anyone has figured this out other than having to go to the messaging section.

Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

When I receive an email on a particular account, I can access it just fine through the notification bar. What I haven't been able to do is figure out (short of changing the primary account under settings), is how to seemlessly go from one account to another within the app.

Was unable to get it to work but successfully set up the K9 app.With the new GB release I thought I would try the stock app again. Now I can send messages but can't receive any with the stock email app. I have my own web domain and pop3 email. Initially, one of my accounts kept falling out of Push into Fetch.Last night I did a factory reset to see if that would help. Of course, to make things interesting, this morning I had the new firmware update waiting to be installed, so I let that go in.Strange enough, now both my accounts are falling from push to fetch. Im a long time DX user, so I'm sure I have my settings correct. My stock Email app used to be linked to my office Outlook email. From further research, I have found that it is the cause for warning such as "Unfortunately, process.com.motorola.services has been force closed" or something like that to pop up. My attemp to fix this was to download other developer's apps, but soon to find out nearly all of them only supports POP3 and IMAP. Needless to say I feel nauseating just thinking about spending $20 for apps like ActiveSync and TouchDown for the stupid Outlook email!
i am having problems with my bionic adding accounts under the my accounts settings area. every time i try to add my picasa, facebook, Internet, or twitter it says 'an error has occurred please try again later'. when trying to add an email account it says auto setup is not available for the provider (tried with my gmail, yahoo, hotmail, & verizon accounts). i got around that by finding the manual values to fill in for each provider account, but that's just email. i am pretty miffed on the others not working.
mostly because i would like to have picasa in my gallery and be able to share photos from gallery or after taking with camera app to picasa and/or facebook. i do not want to have the facebook for android app on my phone, so just having the account set up in blur would be sufficient. i have tried taking my timezone off the automatic setting and retrying to add picasa account, still no joy. still in my 14 day trial with the bionic and am certainly being swayed by this issue
