I have multiple emails. However, when I am in the email app, I cannot find an easy way to switch between accounts other than settings and changing the default account. Am I missing something, or was this phone really setup with only 1 email in mind?
View 5 RepliesBy default, the Atrix uses the picture filename of "YYYY-MM-DD_hh-mm-ss_xxx.jpg" (example: "2011-08-01_09-16-12_123.jpg"). How can we change this to another filename mask, like "YYYY_MMDD_hhmmss xxx.jpg" (example: 2011_0801_091612 123.jpg) or any other format of our choosing?In addition, are there any other field masks that we can use beyond the YYY, MM and DD and time fields?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got two accounts set up on the stock email app. But the only way I can switch from one to the other is to go into settings and which ever one I set as default is the only one I see.When I hit menu there is no option for 'accounts' and if I hit the account name at the top it drops down and shows me the folders for that account.One is a gmail account one is an imap account.

The prior gmail account I was using is beginning to be inundated with spam and it has got to go.After searching I've found this: go to home. Click grid. Click all apps. Click email. Enter a new email, pop etc. There is no option for anything of the sort and from that point the grid button doesn't do anything. This makes very little sense.Is my phone permanently associated with that gmail account? Can I drop it and add a new account or not?

Prior to upgrading my OS to 6.0, the sender would automatically default to the email account I am composing my email from. After the upgrade, now I have to manually select the email address from the "Send Using" drop-down. It defaults to [Default] and not hello@hotmail.com. This is just an added step that is tedious when I am sending out emails from different accounts.

Every time I try to open the default Email app (2nd from the left on the dock), I can only see the "Set up existing accounts" screen where I can add stuff like myspace and facebook accounts. I am linked to a gmail and twitter account, but I can't figure out how to get to my gmail from here. (I can get to it fine from the gmail app.)
Is something wrong, or is this just an accounts set up app and not an email app at all?
I have searched hi and low so i assume there is no way to set the default DIFFERENTLY for each email account i have (i have three). i know how to set the default for the entire device (options, device settings, advanced, default) but that sets the default for all three of my accounts the same, which forces we to use the pull down to change it. is there no way to have a different default for each account?

E-mail: I have 4 e-mail accounts.When I hit compose, it defaults to one I'd rather not use.I can hit the drop down key & choose one of the other 3, but I'd rather have it default to the one I use most.I had no problems w/ this in the Curve.There was a place to set the default mail.Any ideas?

However, while exploring 2.2, I recall seeing a setting that, if the WiFi connection drops, the new setting stops the Bravo from using the 3G. If the Bravo changed over to 3G to maintain the internet connection (apparently the default setting), massive data charges would be incurred. I have tried to re-discover this setting but no success to date. Any way to use / change this "WiFi to 3G" setting?

I want to delete the original Gmail acct that the tech set up and use my regular gmail account without doing a factory reset to defaults.When I bought my Motorola Atrix at Costco in April 2011 the tech deleted all my phone contacts, data, and photos when trying to transfer to the Atrix. Then he set up a new required Gmail account for the Atrix and gave us the wrong password and security answer which I can not recover despite numerous tries with Google.I have another Gmail account with a good password and it is also on my Atrix. I can access both Gmail accounts on the Atrix because the unknown password is stored somewhere on teh phone. I cannot access my account settings to determine the correct password for the Gmail account I want to delete.What I'm really trying to do is somehow link my Atrix phone number to my regular Gmail and Motoblur acconts so I can use the Android Market from my PC and other functions. I cannot find anything on my regular Gmail account that allows me to link my Atrix phone with that account. It appears the phone is linked to the original Gmail acct the Costco tech set up and that I cannot acccess any settings on. The only settings (from both Gmail accts) I can access are the general ones that control notifications, rings, and messages.
My solution was to delete the account that I don't have a password for and then I would then a way to add my Atrix to my regular Gmail acct as the new Atrix acct or visa-versa. I will keep it screwed up if the only option is to reset to facotry defaults and lose everything. In a related question is there a way to transfer all my Atrix data to the micro SD card and then take it out and then reset?
I am setting up my email accounts and I have two AOL emails and one gmail.When I click on AOL tab and enter in my email address and password the phone says I already have that account.It is not on the phone though. Is there anyway to reset the Accounts page back to default to start all over?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I had 1 default ring tone. It was an MP3 snippet and it worked on any contact set to default ring tone or to an unrecognized call. No issues.ast week I changed this default ring tone to be a different MP3 snippet.What I am finding is that any contact that is set to 'default ring tone' now plays a Motorola electroni telephone ring sound instead of the new default ring tone.Im looking for a way to correct this globally. What I have done in the mean time is edit a contact, change the ring tone to something else then back to default and it works from that point on.

I like the MultiLing keyboard, but I've had one issue that has come up in only the last couple weeks. I'll select the MultiLing keyboard as my input choice, but a short time later, the keyboard has changed back to the standard keyboard.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was on the driving range today when a storm blew in. I usually have my phone in my pocket with the screen towards my leg. I keep it in an otter box commuter case. Well it was screen out and I got water in the screen. I am looking for a way to sync all contacts and calendar entries from all accounts (corporate sync, yahoo, etc...). I will want to put this on the new phone I get next week through my insurance.
The phone is not damaged in any other way. Just the screen is getting condensation and it is growing to a larger area of the screen. I figure I have paid more than enough insurance premiums to get a replacement phone.
PS This is the first time I really miss having a blackberry. You just plug in your phone, open desktop manager, and click prepare to transfer to new phone. It backs everything up don't to text messages.
I created email accounts that use POP3 to receiv and SMTP to send and find I can receive mail but my sent emails get an authentication error. I originally thought they were not being sent at all but then I decided to let them remain in the out folder. After 6 hours they were finally sent. Some take 1 1/2 hours. So it seems that to send email out with a SMTP (roadrunner account) it can take from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours. The gmail accounts work just fine, but I don't use gmail except for people I am not sure of and do not want their emails in my roadrunner account. Yes, I have my POP3 and SMTP set up correctly. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to send or receive at all. I have removed them and put them back, turned my phone off and let it rest and turned it back on many times.
I have talked to Motorola and the person I talked to yesterday has referred the problem to a tech person further up the ladder. I have read about other problems of this kind on sites on the web when I googled a question about it, but I am not always trusting of the unknown sites. This is a Motorola help site so I am hoping the information here will be more accurate and trustworthy.
FYI, I just read something from a site that said to use gmail as the outgoing smtp. Well, I switched the smtp for one of the roadrunner accounts to use .gmail.com as the smtp. It seems to have the same problem.
Phone came with a 2 gig SD card. I have a 32 gig sd card to install. Is there anything I should know before switching them out ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night both my Twitter & Myspace accounts that are linked to my Motoblur account stopped working. I would constantly get an account error icon in my notification bar. I changed to passwords on both accounts, I made sure email and passwords were correct a million times lol
Nothing worked with Twitter or Myspace..SO I removed both accounts from my Motoblur account, re-added my Twitter account (which is now working fine) BUT my MySpace account is still not working.
I have removed it, changed the password, then tried to re-add it just like my Twitter account problem. It still won't work! IDK what is wrong, I have even tried without WIFI on
I get this error message from MotoBlur Account Management Screen when trying to add my MySpace account "Your entry is invalid, please try again"
Now I know this is false, can someone else tell me either how to fix this or is this a problem right now with MySpace?
Whenever I take a picture, I like to hold my phone vertical. Hence, all my pictures are sideways. Is there a setting or an app I can get that will change the orientation of my photos?

View 5 Replies View Relatedcan't get the Data push feature to work on my two GoDaddy IMAP email accounts. When I first turn on Data push, it appears not to change mode, and no test messages get transmitted until I force it to fetch. After power cycling, the accounts no longer receive any mail at all. The green "throbber" circle, at the upper left, next to the account name, never stops spinning, and no mail ever shows up. I do not receive any more mail until I turn of Data push and reboot the phone. K9 works perfectly, on the same two accounts, and receives new messages immediately. I would really like to use the native client so that I can take advantage of the Motoblur messaging widget, but timely arrival of mail messages takes precedence for me.
