Is there any way to set the phone to download the entire email message by default? I hate having to click the button to download the rest of the message.
View 9 RepliesSo assume I would like to associate my phone with an entirely new email account. The prior gmail account I was using is beginning to be inundated with spam and it has got to go.After searching I've found this: go to home. Click grid. Click all apps. Click email. Enter a new email, pop etc. There is no option for anything of the sort and from that point the grid button doesn't do anything. This makes very little sense.Is my phone permanently associated with that gmail account? Can I drop it and add a new account or not?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my LCD has a column of dark pixels when watching movies, when certain colors pass by. This prompted me to check it by running a couple dead pixel test screens. When I show pure red and blue screens, I can see the same column of pixels (or subpixels) stay black. By this, I mean an entire column of pixels, top to bottom. The pink/magenta screen is also affected but I assume this is because of the red subpixels. No other colors (white, black, yellow, green) are affected. If this was a single pixel, sure, I'd let it go. But having this many pixels be dead really bugs me. The problem is, however, that I bought this handset secondhand (off craigslist) and don't have the original receipt at hand. (therefore I have no warranty).

As I go to the keyboard setting and set this custom keyboard as the default one, the phone has been working perfectly poping up whatever custom keyboard I defaulted for couple weeks until yesterday... the phone keep going back to the default Multi touch keyboard and won't remember the selected default keyboard for some reason..
I am new to smartphones and all that they do. There are a number of apps that were pre-installed when I picked up this device. I can uninstall any downloaded app but am unable to see how to uninstall any of the default apps. I can remove them from the desktop, but they will remain on the phone. How can these be removed from the phone and free up the storage they are using?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter creating a hotmail account, leave out of email app and go to the home screen. Find phone settings/accounts/hotmail/other settings and you should see a option that say's, delete messages older than:, tap on this and a box drops down, choose to never delete messages and click on ok. A force close error will appear. When you manage to get back to home screen, the email icon doesn't open and show any emails from the hotmail account. You have to reboot the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I connect my Atrix 2 to my car stereo via bluetooth, DoubleTwist comes up and immediately starts playing the last album I happened to be playing on it. I have several music players installed, and would like to configure the phone so another is the default. Any way to do this? I've tried browsing to a music file and pressing it to bring up the "Complete action using..." dialog, but the app I want to use (PowerAMP) is not listed among the choices. Am I out of luck on this, or just restricted to those apps that show in the popup?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my atrix plugged into my car dock while driving and listening to music from it through the aux input on my stereo (through the charge lead) but when every I make or answer a call while driving, the sound defaults to the speaker on the phone and nothing can be heard. I have to press the "Speaker" button on the screen and then i can hear the person on the call without issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to GB, lost all my phone numbers in my contacts, but thankfully the special app worked and I retrieved them. I want to sync with gmail, but I must of choose the wrong default option, when you add a new one, it asks you gmail or motoblur, always use this choice.
I added a contact and it looks like its a motoblur contact, when I go into accounts motoblur has a lock symbol next to it (odd).
anyhow to the questions:
1) How do I change add contacts to use gmail, now that I do not have a choice when adding new contacts.
2) Is there a qucik guide to remote wipe.
3) Someone mentioned they used motoblur to find their phone, how can I do that?
4) How often does my contacts/books etc sync with gmail, can you increase/decrease it?
Just because I want to, I'd like to be able to download the entire Ovi maps database - every detail of every corner of the Earth, not just all the cities/countries available in Nokia Software Updater, which I've already gotten. I figure that if all the roadways of every country in the world only occupy about 7-8GB on my 32GB drive, adding the terrain of the remaining unpaved/uninhabited regions of the world shouldn't add that much more.Or, at least less than I have available room on my drive.

How can we change this to another filename mask, like "YYYY_MMDD_hhmmss xxx.jpg" (example: 2011_0801_091612 123.jpg) or any other format of our choosing?In addition, are there any other field masks that we can use beyond the YYY, MM and DD and time fields?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure how to describe this annoyance, but hopefully someone knows how to resolve the issue.About a month ago I received a spam Email (AOL) which I have linked to the default Email client.I deleted the Email without opening the Email but ever since the header appears everytime I receive a new Email notification in the systray.Fortunately it wasn't anything of a comprmising nature just a sales pitch for the "Original Orgreenic Pan".I've tried removing the account as well as deleting the email cache to no avail.

Anyway, does anyone know the default download folder if you save a ringtone from a text sent from someone, like the Verizon site? I mounted the phone and it's no where on the SD Card. I also have a graphical interface app for the system folders and can't find it, but there are so many folders and no search feature. Anyone happen to know where a file would save by default? Reason being, it saved twice, so I have 2 copies on the list and I would also like to copy the file to another folder.

I would like to way to know which of the stock apps can be added to the list. I have noticed that my battery usage for idle phone in the range of 30-35% (which I believe a bit high). May be the default apps I already have added to auto-kill are required by motoblur and hence started automatically, thus causing a loop.I have installed only 3 apps uptill now so i am sure they arn't causing this problem

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).

I notice now that the map stored to my phones internal memory rather than to my SD card - I don't recall the app asking me where to store the map.
Must I change a phone setting to accomplish this going forward? I found this in settings under Windows Media Sync:
Settings / SD card and phonestorage / Storage location - then I am presented the opiton of choosing internal phone storage or SD card.
But I still wouldn't consider a GPS map to be "Windows Media" in need of a sync (?)

I touch the screen to install a free app, but the "accept and download" button does nothing when I touch it. However, I am able to purchase apps without any problem. My wife is having the same issue with her phone. Neither of us have installed any new apps lately, and I have tried an external hard reset with no success. This is incredibly annoying.
