Aug 27, 2011i use torch white 9800- i already setup everything like it use too.. But suddenly even i already send servvice books synchronize etc with my device still-Trouble shoot- errorr - i cant open all my. Email inbox except gmail only ..and i couldnt open my text msg. Too.. its wriTten encounter java.lang error null.pointer exception.. It makes my device getting heavy and slowerr.. And my ({}) « couldnt be opened and even its open no recent updates.. if i couldnt opened written error.bb_rim_peer .. OMG , its soo confusing

Currently I have: Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue. Which are *REALLY* hard to tell the difference between all 3 colors when just glancing at the phone.

What I haven't been able to do is figure out (short of changing the primary account under settings), is how to seemlessly go from one account to another within the app.

Jun 11, 2012I have a Torch 9800. Ever since I got it, I've noticed that, occasionally, messages will not show up in my inbox. My phone will buzz when I receive them, and I'll have the "new messages" icon on the homescreen, but clicking the messages icon brings me to an empty inbox.
I've noticed this behavior impacting email (my gmail account is the only one I have going to the blackberry), text messages, and two different third-party chat clients.
I don't have any messages being filtered to different folders or anything like that. Clicking "View Folder" verifies that my inbox is selected.
But here's where it gets weird: if I compose a new email and send it, when I return to the inbox, all the messages appear. It's almost as if the inbox is having a problem displaying the message list, but once I force a new item to display (the newly sent message), it shocks it back to life.

Jan 5, 2010So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

Jun 19, 2011I just got my first Blackberry today, and at the vendor, my gmail account was set on the phone. Now my gmail goes ONLY to my Blackberry and not to the gmail account on a computer (desktop and laptop). I really wanted the gmail on the BB as back-up, not primary. I find this situation to be in effect because my BB shows emails in my gmail account that are NOT showing up when I log in to my gmail. Gmail on my computer doesn't "cost" me anything. It does on my BB (until I learn what I am doing with the BB, I got the minimal data rate with AT&T), so I really don't want to have to read all my email on my Torch. I don't mind its being there; I just want it on my computer also.
1. How do I re-set the BB or my gmail so that gmail will go to both places?
2. Or, alternatively, how to do un-install gmail on the BB so my gmail will show up on my desktop/laptop computer?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. Dec 26, 2011I am new to Blackberry, the proud owner of a Torch 9810. I love a lot of things about it except e-mail handling.I am having to manually delete mails already deleted from my laptop. My Torch is not reconciling my Gmail automatically; in fact, when I go to the BB menu in e-mail to manually reconcile by selecting that command, it still doesn't work.The above wouldn't bother me quite so badly if I didn't have to delete them (again) one at a time. I'm sure there must be a way to select multiple e-mails from my Inbox to delete en masse, but I haven't hit upon it yet.

My device had been synched with this account until this morning when I did a restore from a date prior to having set up the gmail account. I added the gmail account back to the Torch after the restore, and the mail is functioning fine. But the contacts and calendar are not synching between the Torch and the gmail account.

Nov 12, 2010I had a Windows failure that has resulted in all programmes having to be re-installed, including Blackberry Desktop. Now when I connect the Torch 9800 to my computer the programme opens and the model is recognised but it fails to connect to synchronise. Error message - "Blackberry Desktop Software cannot comunicate with the connected device". How can I solve this problem as all the requisite conditions for connection have been fulfilled.

Aug 12, 2010I'm a new Blackberry user just picking up a Torch today. I proceeded to sunc up my Contacts using Blackberry Desktop Manager and was presented with an error and a KB article to consult. KB19454-"The <organizer application> database cannot be accessed for synchronization" appears when attempting a synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 on a Mac computer
Has anyone experienced this issue and no the solution? Although the KB article references many sync item issues, mine is with contacts. I admit I was a little disappointed to find that out-of-the-box I was unable to sync with Contacts on OS X.
BB Torch :: 9800 Sync Keeps Failing?
Oct 5, 2010Trying to synch Torch 9800 running 6.0 Bundle 2949 with Outlook 2010 on a new Windows 7.0 desktop.
Desktop is newly loaded Version 7.1.0.32.
When I connect the back-up works ok. Synching then starts but fails at different stages :one time I see where there are differences, click one and then everything hangsEarlier, it read the records and was about to start the synch then froze.One time it froze during the reading of records.On my old desktop running Office 200 and Widows 7.0 at least it synched, although I did suffer from duplications in the calendar.
Seriously think of giving up on BB and going to Windows phone when my contract comes up, as this is a key requirement for me.
