I searched and couldn't find it, but I remember that in the past there was a tip that gave a shortcut to connect to the nearest Sprint tower. I don't remember it though, it was something like *16.

(*228 option 2) ... 1/2 way through the update... a staticky noise will be heard and then the phone will completely shut off... (Ive had mutliple devices myself do to other warrenty defects and experienced this problem on other devices as well)..

the bluetooth will not connect with my 2010 Escalade or my 2008 E Class MBZ. It connects to my old earpiece but not the cars. No previous problems connecting with my BB or Samsung phones.
I've had a S10-HD headset for about a year and it has worked well with several phones and my laptop. However, it will not connect to my new Photon 4G.I've made sure every other device to which it was ever connected has bluetooth turned off I've made sure the battery on both devides are fully charged I've made sure the Photon's bluetooth is on working I've connected the Photo to my car's bluetooth system to make sure it can connect to something I've connected my headset with my laptop to make sure it can connect to something I've turned them both on and off both devices I've searched and searched everywhere.When I go to bluetooth settings on the Photon and press "scan for devices", the headset never shows up as an available device When I power on the headset it flashes blue for a second and then slowly flashes red, but is never available to connect to the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used the Moto software to back up my phone yesterday, and since then it won't connect to wi-fi. It finds the signal, starts looking for an IP address, then stips the process. I've tried to turn off 3G and 4G, together and in combinations, updated PRL and profile, but to no avail. Even rebooted the router to make sure something wasn't wrong with it and other devices in the house are working just fine. Not sure if this has anything to do with the backup, but it's a problem I've never had before.

I went to Applications>Development> Unchecked Stay Awake and it keeps becomming checked everytime I reinstert it onto the Motorola Dock! So annoying, I made sure the phone is up to date and still this bug exists. Anyone know of a fix or work around?

It appears that my linkedin contacts are working and syncing properly. I don't want to remove the account and then add it back as it removes the joinded contacts.

Tried forums but no concrete solution.

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.

My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone used or using Drive First?I installed it, was using it, but just too much for me, I already use a car dock, motospeak and bluetooth.(Yes, trying to be safe).It just does not intrgrate well with Google Voice.Anyway, it seemed to install an app when I signed up for it, the app is called Smart Device Manager.After cancelling Drive First it continues to lock my screen when the car moves.I figured out which app is is, but the only available option is "uninstall updates" and it keeps wanting to re-update the app after I uninstalled updates. I have uninstalled updates and reinstalled a few times, but it seems that app is dug in there, and won't leave.Because Sprint customer service has NO CLUE (after 4 reps) how the app works, or how to get rid of it?

If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned.Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Try this link...www.mediafire.com/?a01dw4w4azasjmn2. Install the app anywhere in your phone, phone memory, mass memory or memory card.3. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. Once the shortcut bar is added, tap it and go into the settings for adding the shortcuts to it.6. Now if you want to add only one app in the shortcut bar, select the desired location from one to four and add the app. In the rest of the locations, add the vacuum app.7.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo when I'm texting on this phone, sometimes the shortcuts will randomly pop up, like if I hit the "L" key the calendar will pop up. It's odd because I'm in the text message app, or it happens if I have to type something in Browser. This only happens on occassion. I know it has something to do with the shortcut feature, but I should have to hit another button before they actually pop up.

On some v2.3 gingerbread phones, holding the Menu button + clicking the Power button works but this does not seem to work on the Admiral.
After the GB update, anytime that I mount/unmount the SD card, any icons that i have created dissapear from the home pages. This is only for apps that I moved to the SD card. I've tried rebooting, and no change. Any thoughts? BTW, I did a full wipe and reset after the GB installation.
With Froyo, if the card was unmounted, any app moved to the SD card, the shortcut icons were shown as generic with a gear icon. However, once mounted, the the app icon would be restored.
