My yahoo email account was recently hacked so I changed the password. I tried to change the password for the Yahoo account on my phone but it wouldn't work, so I deleted the account. I tried to re-add th yahoo account but it still won't allow me to login. I know the password is correct.

The only issue I have now is a new one - I cannot add my Yahoo! Mail account back onto my phone. I am able to log into it via the web on both my phone and PC. I can login using the Yahoo! Mail App (which i really don't like). But I cannot add it using the "Accounts" options built into the phone.People have said that maybe it's Yahoo! thinking the account was hacked... so I've changed my password twice. I've done battery pulls before trying to re-add the account. It used to be easy, but now the account setup is some kind of automated process - optimized for Ovi Mail, Gmail and such services. My email account surname is not my email address (fist.surname@gmail.com type) but something like "fisurnam". The result is that I give my password in vain, no connection established.
What should I do to create the account? It is also not clear, am I giving my password to Nokia service or is it going directly to the email account provider. This is an important thing as my work email password may not be given to anyone, not even to Nokia.
I'm having trouble setting up a new email account. I am able to connect to the Internet using the browser, so it doesn't appear to be connectivity issue. Doing a Soft Reset and pulling the battery doesn't help.

View 1 Replies View RelatedStrange situation, i have 2 different blackberry (8310 for work is BES & BIS) and 9650 personal blackberry. i want both to receive my @yahoo.com emails - which they both can thru BIS - HOWEVER, the 8310 all of a sudden is no longer (wirelessly) reconciling the emails - so if i open/delete etc on the 8310 they remain "untouched" on my outlook, webmail, 9650, etc spoke to blackberry support and they said although i can receive on more than one device - only 1 device will handle/deal with the reconciling so my 8310 is full of what appears to be unopened emails.Is this info accurate ?
