Motorola Droid Bionic :: Can't Add A Facebook Account
Sep 20, 2011Setting up my new Bionic today. I installed the Facebook app from the Market, and now when I go to accounts, and click Add, I see 2 facebook icons (one produces the annoying Motorola terms & conditions screen and I suspect is tied into Blur somehow), the other is clearly the Facebook account that goes with the Facebook app, but when I click that one, nothing happens. Can I add a facebook account without agreeing to Motorola's T&C (and possible getting bogged down in their social networking apps)?

Sep 13, 2011First post, as I'm an Android developer, but just got my first phone with Motoblur. So far, I have to say that the Blur interface has been disappointing as a power user, relative to the stock interface (many things that the stock Android does well, Blur doesn't, imho). But, that's not why I'm here...I'm here because I've noticed, under the new Bionic, that the official Facebook for Android app doesn't allow me to use it to setup a sync account. In the accounts menu, if I click "Add an account," it displays the list of possible account types. Clicking on the FB for Android account type appears to do nothing. Also, for any other apps that didn't come stock with the phone, they also can't seem to setup new accounts. Twitter is the only exception for this behavior. The official Twitter for Android app does appear to bring up a next screen when you choose that type.
Is it that Twitter is implementing some API the rest are missing? All of the example sync adapters I can find have this behavior where nothing happens when you try to use their functionality of "Add an account." Why is selecting those account types a no-op instead of bringing up the usual credential input screen that normally follows selecting a type of account?

Aug 2, 2011Is there no easy way to remove a Corporate Sync Account? I am trying to remove the account I set up yesterday but the screen for remove account will not let me enter a username? As such, I don't even see how I can edit this current account from the phone. Is this not possible to do from the phone or do I have to do this from the company's Exchange server?

There's a small pinhole on the black panel at the top rear, where the camera lens and flash are located, just to the right of "HD 1080P." That's the lock. If you insert a pin or other small object into that hole, it releases the back cover and it slides right off.

May 31, 2011After my last thread which pointed out I was just simply lookin in the wrong place I bet there is a pretty easy solution for this too, I just can't seem to find it.Currently when unlocking my phone, I have to do the slide to unlock, and then input my pattern to unlock. I want my phone so that when I only have to do the pattern.The security options on the phone allow for "None", "Pattern", "Password", and "Pin". It says nothing of the slide to unlock feature and I can not figure out how to turn the thing off.

Jun 27, 2012I recently purchased the Droid Bionic approximately 2 weeks ago. I got one for my husband also. Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.

I have my Facebook account setup under the Facebook app and I am able to use Facebook as an option when I share photos but I am looking for the ability to have Facebook contacts show in the Contacts. I have an Evo 4G and I have the ability to have my Facebook contacts included with two Google accounts (work and personal) and would like to do so on my tablet as well. Is this just a feature of my HTC phone or a failing of Honeycomb 3.1 that I'm unaware of or is this specific to the Xoom FE?

Jul 13, 2011while looking at my friend's droix x i noticed on his "add account" page he had an option for flickr and i do not. now we both have the exact same system version, kernel version, etc - all were the same but the prl was a different version. he also had a Internet account option that i also do not have - but i am not worried about that since i can log into Internet via the Internet app.

Aug 1, 2011I have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.

Jun 15, 2012I had previously had two accounts email accounts on my Bold and completely deleted these, including going through service books to insure removal and pulling battery to reset.
When I reset one of these, the other appears and while mail for the first is received, mail can not be sent.
How can I break some sort of relationship between these accounts and my Blackberry services (BIS). These accounts are through two differet service providers (GoDaddy and GMail).

Sep 29, 2011I recently had to get a replacement for my Droid 3. Did the same exact thing with my new phone that I did with my old, but now facebook is not syncing with my phone contacts. I tried uninstalling the app and even deleted it from the accounts screen and tried to re-set it, but nothing.
