BB Bold :: Removing References To Old Email Account?
Jun 15, 2012I had previously had two accounts email accounts on my Bold and completely deleted these, including going through service books to insure removal and pulling battery to reset.
When I reset one of these, the other appears and while mail for the first is received, mail can not be sent.
How can I break some sort of relationship between these accounts and my Blackberry services (BIS). These accounts are through two differet service providers (GoDaddy and GMail).
Additionally, I deleted other unneeded email acocunts yet one account (unrelated to the two above) still remains in my Contact Options. How do I remove this? Bold 9900, 7.1 (998)
BB Curve :: Removing Previous Owners Email Account?
Feb 24, 2012I recently inherited a Curve 8530 from a previous employee at my company that still has his email associated with it. The phone has been given a new number w/ data plan, but in order to remove the old email account I need the old email password. The company no longer has contact with said employee, and so I am stuck with a phone that I am unable to use email on until I find a way to remove the old account. Is there any other way of doing this?

Jun 2, 2010I'm posting this because I'm nearly going nuts every time I send a captured photo by using my N86's built in photo sending option (I view the image and in the toolbar select Send with the envelope icon).
I choose to send my photo by email, and when I get to entering the email adress, I get 2 suggestions for email adresses - my old email adress and my new one. This is annoying because I quite often by accident pick the old email adress (the adresses are almost the same) from the list and can't understand why I don't receive my photo, until I check and find out I sent it to the wrong address..Is there some way to remove these suggestions?

Mar 1, 2010I like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.

Mar 21, 2012Lets say if I have a new email i would like to use and would like to delete the old one off my iphone but it has all of my contacts on it, how do i transfer those contacts, notes, and calendars, to the new email account?
keep in mind that if i delete the email acount with the contacts, the contacts will no longer be on my phone as well as the notes. is there a way for me to transfer the contacts from the old email account to the new one so i can remove the old email account? too much spam.

Jan 17, 2012I got a new BB and transferred all my info from my 8320 which I'm giving to my son. Problem is I can't seem to delete the email accounts I transferred. I don't want to do a general wipe as some of the info on the phone already is useful for the new owner. I've hidden the icons for now but just want to delete them. When I go to email setup I'm not seeing the emails and all I get is an option to setup new accounts.

When I pick up Windows live hotmail to enter user ID and password, the email setup wizard takes me back to the previous screen that is in email setup wizard screen. It doesn't show any error message.

Mar 21, 2010I joined Nokia Messaging service, downloaded the last version software using my Nokia E71 phone. When I signed for the service it asked me for my email account details, so I could not put the settings manually. The hotmail account works fine, but the other account cannot send messages. I cannot change the outgoing settings using my phone and I cannot edit the information on the nokia messaging website.
The incoming server seems to be ok (mail1.doctors.org.uk) but I cannot change the server details : smtp2.realmail-asp.co.uk. My provider is Tmobile (they gave me this: smtp.t-email.co.uk) they were not helpful and told me that they mainly support blackberry. My email accounts were working fine until I installed Nokia Messaging. I find Nokia Messaging very professional for messaging, but unsure if I will be able to make it work.

Jan 29, 2010I have tried to add my yahoo email account to my N900 and after I complete the process I get an error messae saying "Unable to connect to pop.yahoo.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect". Could someone please help me in what this says? I have previously used a Blackberry and haven't had this problem before.
