I observed about four days ago that yahoo email accounts fails to login to nokia messaging account. I tried it both on phone directly and also login to my nokia messaging account to confirm it but to no avail. The message error that pop up was unable to login try again. I don't know if anyone is expriencing this problem; if so and have resolved it kindly let me know.

It's a couple of days that my newest 808 PureView fails to set up email accounts via the "Nokia Mail" option.
I choose the "other" email option to set up my university email, and after putting all the account information and settings, I get this error message:
"Cannot enable the mail service that allows you to fully experience your favorite providers because connection to the mail server is not possible with the settings provided.
Select 'Next' to set up mailbox without this service. You can attempt to connect to the server by adjusting the mailbox settings later."
I have noticed several other posts about this here and in other forums, but I didn't find any solutions. (I saw a post about setting the date/time correctly, which is correct in my case, and to not use Wi-Fi, which I tried as well, but the problem is still there).
I was able to easily setup my emails on my previous 808 phones and my N8 and other Symbian phones.
I have tried to add my yahoo email account to my N900 and after I complete the process I get an error messae saying "Unable to connect to pop.yahoo.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect". Could someone please help me in what this says? I have previously used a Blackberry and haven't had this problem before.

Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using E72 for 2 months, but since then I am unable to login Yahoo msgr from the Nokia chat client. The error is Code: 409 i.e. Invalid yahoo ID or password, though, I provided the correct ID and password, while keeping the case sensitive nature of password in mind.
This problem is only coming with yahoo.Gtalk and other services are working fine.Tried using fring also, but that too is not working with....
The ID and password are absolutely correct. Should I have to change some settings in yahoo account? Also the mail client is working fine with yahoo.m getting the emails.
I can't login my account on my Xperia. Let's just say I forgot my password and I tried using the change password but it said that my email address is not valid. I checked whether my spelling is incorrect but not and I am more than 105% sure that I used the correct email address because there is a link of my Xperia in the inbox of my email. The phone is set to check my emails every 15 minutes, and when the failure happens I get the yellow triangle and the message that the account name or password is incorrect. If I just wait for anything from one to six hours it starts updating again. All this time my aol accounts & gmail accounts sync fine. Does not matter if I am in one place for this time, or travelling and so passing through many different cells. The failure can happen any time of day or night. During these times my .me account is accessible via my laptop & ipod Touch.

It no longer shows as a listed account in the setup menu but it still appears as an icon on the homepage. It's still active retrieving messages. I tried rebooting by removing the battery to no avail.

View 6 Replies View RelatedNew Galaxy six, did the whole gmail sync to get my contacts transferred. Also since the gmail account set-up, I'm getting so much more junk in both of my accounts. It's obviously not as secure as my other emails. But bottom line, my mail won't send from yahoo but will from my imap account with century link. My old LG had me set up as yahoo being imap, the new Galaxy set it up as pop? I can't access my outgoing settings anymore on my old phone so don't know what to change them to?

My BB is receiving the Yahoo mails but if I delete an email on the BB it still appears in my Yahoo email inbox.Is there full synchronization between BB and Yahoo mail or have I made an error in the set-up?
