I have tried to add my yahoo email account to my N900 and after I complete the process I get an error messae saying "Unable to connect to pop.yahoo.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect". Could someone please help me in what this says? I have previously used a Blackberry and haven't had this problem before.

I have a Nokia Messaging account that I created during the first appear of Nokia Messaging service and now with Movistar Spain subscription. In my account I have 2 Google Mail Accounts (Normal and Apps), a MobileMe account and Yahoo IMAP (spanish address) account.
All the accounts work correctly except Yahoo account. What happen? That I have emails in the inbox of mail mobile 3 days old, the old emails from third day suddenly became unreaded, I open to read, and are marked as read, but after some time (30min, 1hour) or some time like this became unreaded suddenly. For example today some emails, in the case of today 15 emails from 13th of january became unread again again and again.
It's annoying because with this behaviour there's no way to know how really new emails you have and also for every time the email is marked as unread the mobile spend time and battery notifying me. There's someone else that has this problem? Any propose or solution?
I try to delete the Yahoo account in my Nokia Messaging account and create a new one with the address, but the problem come back again and again. A solution could be to classify all the email every day in folders keeping my Inbox of Yahoo account in server clean, but there's some day that I have no time to do this work.
I have a yahoo mail account that has been working fine on the messaging app until now. Today I recieved an Authorization Error notification and since then I have been unable to use that yahoo mail account on my messaging app. I have tried removing the account and adding it again and also changing the password via my PC but it is still giving me an error message on my Bionic saying "Login to the account failed , please try again." I tried it both on phone directly and also login to my nokia messaging account to confirm it but to no avail. The message error that pop up was unable to login try again. I don't know if anyone is expriencing this problem; if so and have resolved it kindly let me know.

Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

View 1 Replies View RelatedDon't know if that's just me or my newly acquired N900..... I used the Nokia Messaging service during the trial phase a year or two back. After the trial was over, and finally the real service became available on the local carrier ( 3 Hong Kong ), I signed up for the service only to find out that the old email address I signed up during the trail period is now blocked. I can add email address that's not in the original trial account, but not the same ones ( got an error message from Nokia Messaging setup on the N900 saying another Nokia Messaging account already taken the email address I was trying to add).
So I went into the email.nokia.com to delete those email accounts (and the status of my subscription correctly shows that it's now operator subscription), but the problem persists. Actually it seems that my N900 email accounts under Nokia Messaging are out of sync with what I can see on email.nokia.com.(I have a couple accounts on the N900, and none in email.nokia.com)
Every time I touch the email icon to add another email account my phone freezes up completely

I want to add an existing MS Outlook email account to my Blackberry. I already have 2 gmail accounts on my phone. When I add the new account it comes up as a POP3 account. I don't think that will work. How do I change it to an Outlook Express account. The email address is xxx@yyyy.com The email server is ttt.ddd.com Since there's nothing to identify it as an Outlook account is that part (or all) of the problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI used to have my work e-mail address (not an enterprise account) linked to my blackberry. I have no idea how it happened. When I tried to set it up it asked for a password and I didn't have one for it. I closed the e-mail set-up thinking it had not worked. However, despite the blackberry saying it could not set-up the account, lo and behold a few minutes later I got the e-mail account activation message and everything was working. This was before I downloaded the new OS.Fast forward to today: the e-mail account accidentally was deleted. Now when I try to set it up I get more or less the same messages but it does not work magically as it did before. I have contacted our IT administrator to ask if there is ac password for my specific e-mail. We use Microsoft Exchange Server. He told me there are no other passwords than the one I use to access my e-mail through the internet. However, I have tried that password and it does not work.

It's obviously not as secure as my other emails. But bottom line, my mail won't send from yahoo but will from my imap account with century link. View 4 Replies View RelatedI think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.
