I just got back home from a trip to dubai in dubai my email was working fine. Now I put in my German sim card and wanted to add my email address again and it keeps saying device encountered a problem with this application's server. I have a Curve 8520.

I want to add an existing MS Outlook email account to my Blackberry. I already have 2 gmail accounts on my phone. When I add the new account it comes up as a POP3 account. I don't think that will work. How do I change it to an Outlook Express account. The email address is xxx@yyyy.com The email server is ttt.ddd.com Since there's nothing to identify it as an Outlook account is that part (or all) of the problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to have my work e-mail address (not an enterprise account) linked to my blackberry. I have no idea how it happened. When I tried to set it up it asked for a password and I didn't have one for it. I closed the e-mail set-up thinking it had not worked. However, despite the blackberry saying it could not set-up the account, lo and behold a few minutes later I got the e-mail account activation message and everything was working. This was before I downloaded the new OS.Fast forward to today: the e-mail account accidentally was deleted. Now when I try to set it up I get more or less the same messages but it does not work magically as it did before. I have contacted our IT administrator to ask if there is ac password for my specific e-mail. We use Microsoft Exchange Server. He told me there are no other passwords than the one I use to access my e-mail through the internet. However, I have tried that password and it does not work.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I deleted my login and password for my email account on my phone; I deleted the CIMIME from the Service Book and deleted something called BIS 5 from somewhere. I'm still getting emails on my phone. I sync my calendar with Outlook and the same email address so I haven't gotten rid of CICAL in the Service Book.

Then, some weeks ago I stopped receiving emails and I couldn't send either. I ended up removing both email accounts and then I set up one of them, tried it and it worked. Then I went and tried to set up the second one but I haven't been able to do so since.I go to Setup > Email Settings > Add > Gmail (the account I want to set up is on Gmail). I write the correct email address and password and click on Next, it says it's "Processing, prease wait..." and then every time it says "Update Failed".
I've tried also choosing Other instead of Gmail when trying to add the second account but at the end it gives me the same error, "Update Failed". have the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 and I've looked there for an option to try and set up my second email account through the software but there just seems not to be such an option.'ve never had any other problem when it comes to the email or the internet connection in general.'ve been looking for a solution in the forum but I haven't found anything.
I have problems to set up my email account with my blackberry. On my blackberry there is only an app for Enterprise email (for company's).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.
