my phone profile is normal but when some one phones me the ringtone dont play same problem with the notifications is the phone faulty or something I have done wrong?
View 1 RepliesI have a 9700 that I got back in December, and I have a problem.Just today, my 9700 started exhibiting a strange problem whereby it will not produce ANY sound at all for not only incoming calls, texts, e-mails, etc. but also it won't play any sound if a play an mp3.I've done numerous OS reloads, tried different versions of OS, but nothing.
What I have found, though, is that if I push in on the screen slightly, it will produce sound. Why is this? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Phone does not ring, does vibrate, sound profile is set to "Phone Calls Only. Did a hard reboot (removed & reinserted battery), did not change the problem.

Put your Nokia N900 on Silent. Now call your mobile and when the calling screen appears hit the loudspeaker key. Clicking this key will cut out even the vibrations on the Nokia N900, but the phone you are calling from will still hear a ringing tone.End the call from the other phone. Now put the Nokia N900 back on General profile. Call the N900 again from another phone. This time you will not hear a ring tone even though you are back on General profile. (I've checked and my volume was on full)
Atleast this is the problem I'm getting at the moment. Apologies if this problem has been covered elsewhere. I've tried to find it but couldnt so will appreciate if someone can paste a link to it here.The problem goes away if you restart the N900, but I'm hoping this problem can be fixed.
Where do I find the option to make the phone sounds, phone call only.
BlackBerry, you press one button and BAM, done, android, it gives me the volume keys to change notifications, does this mean if I turn the phone notification volume up, im going to be spammed with beeps and pings from email and messaging?
My sound profile management is stuck in normal & I can't change it to vibrate, loud, silent, or any other options on that page. Ihave turned my phone off completely, taken out battery and put back in, & still nothing. I spend lots of time in places where you're not supposed to have ringing on, I need at least vibrate.

One in particular is the option to be in vibrate mode for all apps but phone calls will vibrate and have a tone.
When I get a call the following things are happening: My phone will NOT ring, it will not show up as a missed call in the call logs, and lastly the only way I even know I received the call is if the caller leaves a voicemail. This all started about 3 weeks ago and was not doing this when I first activated the phone in December 2014. This is unacceptable and cannot continue to happen because I use this phone for business and personal use.
I want to make it clear that this does not happen with every phone call I receive. What I can do to stop it.
All of a sudden, I see voicemails on my phone but the S5 will not ring when someone calls. I have the volume up.

I have done everything, form checking the soung a million times, to restarted it from itunes,and restarted withot icloud copy, and still doesn´t work. how to reach an apple support? the is no such thing as world warranty if you live in argentina as I do and online this is the only way to write something.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is happening often. When I have an incoming call the call screen appears and phone rings. I go to answer by dragging the icon to the green answer icon and nothing happens. The phone continues to ring. Trying to drag to the red ignore call icon has the same result. Eventually the caller gets sent to voicemail, but the phone remains locked in this state and needs to be rebooted before it is operational again. I thought it was related to teh phone being in a lockscreen state, but it now appears to be random. I have contacted Google and they said they have not heard of this issue before. Essentially it is unusuable as a phone.

Already did a hard reset, changed ringer phone, turned on and off vibration, listened to music through Itunes - all works except ringing when receiving a call. Also no click sound when turning off.

This is a new problem that I have been having. It is with a blackberry curve. I will make an outgoing call and it will say connected, but there is no ring. When the person i am calling picks up i can hear them. I am not sure if I switched a setting?
