My iPhone 4 does not ring when someone calls. I have checked volume and it is turned on. Left side button is up for ring sound. Volume buttons don't do any good. I updated my phone to IOS 5.1 but no difference.
I have an iphone that doesn´t ring at all with the phone calls, just vibrates. I have done everything, form checking the soung a million times, to restarted it from itunes, and restarted withot icloud copy, and still doesn´t work. how to reach an apple support? the is no such thing as world warranty if you live in argentina as I do and online this is the only way to write something.
My iPhone 4 has suddenly stopped ringing when someone calls/texts. Its not on mute. When I press the volume buttons & the mute button noting happens - no display on the screen to show they are responding.
My son has some apps on my phone & there is no sound coming out of those either. But if I go into settings & change ringtone I can hear the different ring tones. Also if I plug in headphones I can listen to music.
I have been docking my phone into speakers lately & noticed that its vibrated a couple of times when I have done this.
I have turned it on & off several times, and taken out sim, to no avail.
Haven't tried resetting it, as wasn't sure if I would lose my contacts/music etc?
I have an iPhone 4s. when someone rings to my phone number, my phone doesn't ring display the call on my lock screen. After it's stopped ringing, the phone doesn't show me a missed call alert on my lock screen or in the phone app.
My mute is off, do not disturb is off, I haven't blocked anyone and my volume is on maximum but I still can't hear anything.Â
I have had my phone for over two weeks. I've begun to notice that the phone doesn't ring when I get a phone call. Sometimes a particular call won't even register as missed; other times the call just goes to Voicemail
Iphone works well, I can choose ringerphone, but when receiving a call phone doesnt ring. Already did a hard reset, changed ringer phone, turned on and off vibration, listened to music through Itunes - all works except ringing when receiving a call. Also no click sound when turning off.
My iphone doesn't ring when it's unlocked .. i have calls but the screen still black and when i slide to unlock the screen i found i had missed callsi have tried manythings but it doesn't work i put it in silent mode and i found my calls comes normaly and it works good but when i turn on ring mode it's back as it
Bought it for oncall person at work last weekend. Have it all set up but it won't make a sound when calls come in. It will vibrate and when I select the sound in settings, it works there. Is it defective or do I have something set incorrectly?
My phone only makes noise when someone is calling, it doesn't play music out loud or ring when I get a text. It also has nothing to do with the mute switch on the side, I've flipped it on and off and nothing works.
it doesn't always ring when I get a call. Yes, Airplane mode is off, the ringer is on. Take yesterday for instance, over a period of 5 hours, four calls didn't ring, 3 went to VoiceMail, one showed as a missed call, three other calls came through normally. During this entire time the phone was sitting on my desk, fully charged.
I have checked the side button and that's not the problem. I get no sounds with incomming calls or when i receive texts or emails. My phone does vibrate. There is sound when music is playing. I've check all of the settings in 'calls' and 'phone'.
I assign all the cold callers and other vermin who bother me to a dummy contact Z. How can I unsure that calls from these numbers don't produce a ring tone?
There is a cell tower very close to my home, the signal strength is very good, yet it stopped ringing about three months ago. Some times when I an driving it rings even the signal is poor. Using iTunes the phone was backed up and restored to factory settings and then back my settings. All these have not worked.
It is Iphone 4 on iOS 7.1.2.When calling to this phone, call gets through for a moment and then it gets disconnected with a message that the phone is busy. There is no ring on the phone but a missed call gets registered.Sim card is removed and refixed several times.
How can I set my phone to still ring/alert me for phone calls at night BUT not have all the other notifications (email,FaceBook, iMessage) on/off individually?
I have an iPhone 5s with OS version 7.1.2 (11D257). Recently I noticed that I was missing calls and text messages because the phone didn't ring or give the text alert. There is no vibration either. The phone is not in "do not disturb" mode and the manual sound switch on the side of the phone is turned on. It doesn't happen on every call or text, but the past few days it is more than 75% of them. I find myself checking the phone more often now that I'm aware of the problem. That was prompted by the fact that it has already caused a few problems with customers and employees who have returned my call to them within seconds only to have my phone go to voicemail and me not see their message for up to a half hour or so. I'm going to do an update right now just to be sure that I have the latest and greatest Apple patches.
I am a new I phone user (iphone4s) - my android had the capability to have identifiable ring tones for each family member and now really miss that... does the iphone have the same ability? if so how do i set it up...?
