IPhone 5c :: Not Ring On Calls Or Sound Alert For Text Messages Even Set In Settings
Sep 12, 2014My IPhone 5c stopped alerting me to text messages. I have gone into settings, went to sounds, scrolled down to messages & selected an alert tone. IPhone will only vibrate on texts, volume is turned up. It stopped ringing for phone calls too and will only vibrate.  It is super armored with an Otterbox and has not been dropped or broken.Â
I turned off vibrate. I have even went to Settings General and Reset the Phone totally.Â
Volume is turned up. Text and Ringtone for Calls was set in settings. It plays them fine when I choose them.Â
I have no more updates available for the phone   Update is current OS 7.1.2

May 12, 2012My iPhone 4 has suddenly stopped ringing when someone calls/texts. Its not on mute. When I press the volume buttons & the mute button noting happens - no display on the screen to show they are responding.
My son has some apps on my phone & there is no sound coming out of those either. But if I go into settings & change ringtone I can hear the different ring tones. Also if I plug in headphones I can listen to music.
I have been docking my phone into speakers lately & noticed that its vibrated a couple of times when I have done this.
I have turned it on & off several times, and taken out sim, to no avail.
Haven't tried resetting it, as wasn't sure if I would lose my contacts/music etc?

My mute is off, do not disturb is off, I haven't blocked anyone and my volume is on maximum but I still can't hear anything.Â

Apr 30, 2012My phone will not ring for messages or texts. It also will not play music outloud. I know it's not the speakers because it does make noise when I type in my password and sometimes when I am in the settings for the ringtone. It will not make the message sounds in settings. With headphones it makes noise. I don't know what to do and I've tried all the settings. Has this happened to anyone else? The silence key on the side is off. I've tried restarting it, but it does not work. Sometimes it will make noise when I am typing, but only a few times. I haven't dropped it and I have an otterbox, so I don't know what would cause it to do this...?

May 7, 2011When I dock my Atrix in my Laptop Dock it recognizes the Atrix but I'm unable to make or receive phone calls. I tried docking my Atrix during an active call and it continued to stay active but after disconnecting I could not make another call while docked. I use Voice to make and receive calls and even disabled this to see if that was the problem. Is this a setting issue or a bug?
