Apr 24, 2011I am a new EVO user. I previously had a Blackberry and it had a Vibrate then Ring function on it, which allowed me to catch calls before the ringer kicked in. This was a great feature. I am not able set my phone to be on vibrate at certain times, as my schedule is not a set routine. I have looked for apps that would allow me to do this, without any luck. Someone suggested creating a ringtone and leave silence in the beginning, but all of the "custom ringtone apps" that I have tried, cannot do this.

BTW, it seems like people with software/firmware 039 has more issues with their phones, such as flickering and random reboot.

Nov 12, 2013This is happening often. When I have an incoming call the call screen appears and phone rings. I go to answer by dragging the icon to the green answer icon and nothing happens. The phone continues to ring. Trying to drag to the red ignore call icon has the same result. Eventually the caller gets sent to voicemail, but the phone remains locked in this state and needs to be rebooted before it is operational again. I thought it was related to teh phone being in a lockscreen state, but it now appears to be random. I have contacted Google and they said they have not heard of this issue before. Essentially it is unusuable as a phone.

Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. Oct 8, 2011My 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
