I'm getting some problems when i get calls on my phone. It doesn't show the number from address book rather display the number as an unknown number. And then if i try to check the call history, it doesn't show up, instead it shows all the contacts from address book. I'm getting this problem quite frequently now, like 2-3 times a day and need to reboot the device in order to see my call history.

When I look afterwards in the received calls call history, the name is there again.It is not all the time, one hour later the name might be mentioned again. A very annoying problem.This problem occurs at the sames time with the problem that I have connecting via Bluetooth with my car. The call history is not shown properly. I see a blur of digits eg: 496496496........instead of names and real telephonenumbers.

My incoming calls used to show this perfectly clear contact picture and name when I got a call, now the picture is all blurry or something.
I think some of it may be all the new options there are now at the bottom of the call screen. It looks like the photos are stretched or someting.
When I receive incoming call, sometimes the contact name is displayed and sometimes not. After the call is over, the contact name is mentioned in call log list.

After certain time in the phone all incoming calls show the same number in caller ID.The number that is shown will be the last call received before the problem starts.The call log shows the correct number but when call is received the same number is shown.This continues till the phone is reset. But it reverts back to the same issue after some time.I thought this was a problem with the phone and changed Handset and SIM card also, but still the problem came back after a couple of months. My service provider is not able to help me. I tried updating the software in the old phone but still the problem was there.This is driving me crazy since there are many calls I dont want to attend.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a 9790 from Telus and I have noticed that it is randomly losing sound on outgoing and incoming calls. With outgoing calls it dials out fine and connects to who I am calling but I don't hear the ringing when the call goes out and I can't hear the person on the other end when it connects. When I receive a call I hear my ringtone but when I answer it I can't hear the person on the other end.The only way I can talk to someone when it is acting like this is to switch from headset mode to speaker.I played around with my phone and sound but could not find a fix. The only thing that works is a battery pull but even that is only temporary. So far the longest I can go is two days before I have to do another pull.
Any ideas on what could be wrong or should I just take the phone back and get a new one? I've heard this is actually an issue with the 9790 so I am a bit worried about replacing it when it could happen again.
I have a BB9700 smartphone i bought in bangkok. Now I'm using it in Australia. The calls incoming from Private Numbers (the nos that are not listed) are getting cut off. It gets disconnected automatically after the 1st ring. I have not used call barring.

I've gone through the profile settings and alerts menus, and they all have vibrate set to OFF under the Silent profile. Battery pull has no effect. Anything else I should try?

The caller can hear me but unless it's on speaker I cannot hear them. I input all of my phone numbers in Outlook in the following format: (XXX) XXX-XXXX, but when I receive an incoming phone call on the home screen the numbers appear as XXXXXXXXXX (name is correct). When I look on the call log, they appear correctly and when I check my address book in the device, they appear correctly.I only sync one way - from Outlook to the Device. How do I get them to appear in the correct 10 digit phone number format with parentheses and hyphen?I had another Bold before this and had no issues with this at all. I am wondering if I need to use the Backup and Restore feature in the DTM to delete the address book completely and start again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 9700 that I got back in December, and I have a problem.Just today, my 9700 started exhibiting a strange problem whereby it will not produce ANY sound at all for not only incoming calls, texts, e-mails, etc. but also it won't play any sound if a play an mp3.I've done numerous OS reloads, tried different versions of OS, but nothing.
What I have found, though, is that if I push in on the screen slightly, it will produce sound. Why is this? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Each time I receive a call it shows unknown number, even if the number is saved in my contact list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've upgraded successfully our two US Moto X Pure Edition devices to Marshmallow yesterday. After upgrade completed, the numbers of calling contact are not being recognized anymore, although these contact exists and saved in android's Contact app, and backed up in Gmail accounts. Also, all incoming and outgoing calls in the call log are not recognized, although they were recognized before the upgrade.
This is very critical for us, since one of the phones is used as a business phone and it's crucial for us to know who's calling.
