Suppose, I have, under 1 name, multiple contacts (each with different Label Pic, ie, phone, telephone pic etc.). On calling or receiving calls, same Pic (ie of Mobile) is displayed against all those numbers.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just received my N8 from repair and they changed the main chip for it with the newest software. Now it gives me black screen when calling / receiving calls. It also does this when clock has alert on.I can turn the screen on with the "unlocking slide" but this in general is extremely annoying and pointless. I was thinking to take it back to repair shop, but wanted to ask about this first here.

When ever anyone phones or I phone anyone it brings up the same picture out of my gallery how do I get rid off it?
My problem is displaying names in Contacts. Everything is ok in History of calls, it shows the correct names also when im calling or texting, but when I go to Contacts everyone is called (bez nazwy) which means in PL (no name). It happened one day that I noticed all contacts changed to the no name ones, so I tried to format card and phone memory, restore defult settings. After it I cant install Ogi Store on my phone :/ but the error with Contacts came back. Numbers saved on SIM works properly only those on the card memory seems to have no name.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am facing the problem on my N95 8GB where the name of the message sender is not displayed. The phone number is displayed instead without the + sign but with the country code. I have checked that it is not stored as duplicate and its stored in the international format i.e. with the + sign and the country code. Also, only the options of Forward and Delete appear for such messages i.e. i am not able to Reply to the message. The point to be noted is that the name is displayed correctly when there is a incoming call from such a number. I had recently updated my firmware to latest version available with Nokia. I guess the problem has appeared after that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently deleted 2000 messages from my inbox using the mark all/delete function. It seems though after this process my Xpress Music has started playing up. Text messages are only being received when i switch the phone off then on again they come through. Also, if i have missed a call and hit the log or - show missed calls button, the phone says no missed calls/ no information.Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a fix?

Instead, every message is identified by the phone number. So whereas before I could easily id them now its more difficult. Anyone know how I can get the original setting back? Messaging is set to display in groups.

How do I stop the option being presented in the contacts screen alongside Message and Voice Call? I could not see how to remove this option.
I have seen a strange issue with N8. At times, I have seen that when I receive a call from the person who is already added in my contact list, the phone is just displaying the number and not the name of the person. When I check the Log, it also displays the number and not the name of the person.
I have imported my contact list from my previous handset (Nokia N70) where it worked absolutely fine. It is quite inconvenient to identify the caller without the name and decide whether to accept or reject during work hours and have at times missed some important calls due to that.
i am unable to make calls. When I try to make phone call it doesn't even try to make the call. I choose a name from the address book to call and nothing happens. After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me. Otherwise the phone works fine so I newer know that it is in this "problem state" until I try to make a call.Software version is 025.007.240.02

And then I can't do anything, except of take out the battery. On the screen I can the phone is still ringing. The software is last version software.

Until you turn the handset off, then back on (Note not an 8 seconds, buzz 3 times reset) at which time they flood through..The strange thing is unlike when your phone has been turned off and then on and all of the messages come in time stamped as being "xx:xx" for when you turned it on these have times as if they have come in but not actually shown as being received.

Upon receiving it back, they notified me that they had flashed my phone and installed the latest software updates on it per privacy policy, which is understandable. However, all was fine until I tried making a call, when I realized that the screen no longer automatically shuts off / turns on when either placing it or removing it from my face.When dialing a phone number, the screen automatically shuts off and I have to unlock it from the bottom. It is unresponsive to touches, etc, until I unlock it.
When the screen is on during a phone call, it doesn't shut off unless I lock it from the bottom.When receiving calls, the screen never lights on and I can't see who is calling me unless I unlock the phone first.I have tried flashing it with the latest Maemo 5 USA image, but the problem still persists.
Had my N85 6 months now and have been very happy with it, until this morning.When I try to make a call, or press "answer" to receive a call, it switches itself off.Same when accessing voicemail.Has anyone else had this problem and if so, if there a solution?

I have a bluetooth hands-free system built into my car. To listen to music from my phone, I plug a cord from the headphone jack on on the phone to an auxilliary RCA jack in my car. It's the standard way any MP3 player would plug into my car.However, when plugged in like this, I cannot use my bluetooth hands free system to either send or receive calls. Once a call has failed to be placed or received, I then have trouble with calls even if I unplog the cord from the headphone jack.Any ideas? Am I using an incorrect setting somewhere? Is there insufficient phone memory to handle this?
I'm getting some problems when i get calls on my phone. It doesn't show the number from address book rather display the number as an unknown number. And then if i try to check the call history, it doesn't show up, instead it shows all the contacts from address book. I'm getting this problem quite frequently now, like 2-3 times a day and need to reboot the device in order to see my call history.

When I look afterwards in the received calls call history, the name is there again.It is not all the time, one hour later the name might be mentioned again. A very annoying problem.This problem occurs at the sames time with the problem that I have connecting via Bluetooth with my car. The call history is not shown properly. View 18 Replies View RelatedMy phone won't let me make or receive any calls, like when i go to call someone it comes up with ringing screen but then turns off and same for when people ring me ; it will come up with the screen telling me they're ringing but if i answer it just turns itself off. i have tried resetting it but it doesnt work - all my software is up to date so i cant update it. it was fine saturday morning but sunday morning wouldnt let me ring.
