I have a 701. When looking at grouped sms messages I no longer see them described by users name (when the contact is in my contact list). Instead, every message is identified by the phone number. So whereas before I could easily id them now its more difficult. Anyone know how I can get the original setting back? Messaging is set to display in groups.
View 4 RepliesMy problem is displaying names in Contacts. Everything is ok in History of calls, it shows the correct names also when im calling or texting, but when I go to Contacts everyone is called (bez nazwy) which means in PL (no name). It happened one day that I noticed all contacts changed to the no name ones, so I tried to format card and phone memory, restore defult settings. After it I cant install Ogi Store on my phone :/ but the error with Contacts came back. Numbers saved on SIM works properly only those on the card memory seems to have no name.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHad my Nokia N8 for about a year now, recently updated to Belle and I think it looks lovely but I've had so many problems since. Now this new one has started and I don't know if it's a bug that I can fix or not, randomly it loses the contact name associations when I open up the text message inbox. It just comes up with the phone numbers, the contacts are still there and when I reset the phone it goes back to normal.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am facing the problem on my N95 8GB where the name of the message sender is not displayed. The phone number is displayed instead without the + sign but with the country code. I have checked that it is not stored as duplicate and its stored in the international format i.e. with the + sign and the country code. Also, only the options of Forward and Delete appear for such messages i.e. i am not able to Reply to the message. The point to be noted is that the name is displayed correctly when there is a incoming call from such a number. I had recently updated my firmware to latest version available with Nokia. I guess the problem has appeared after that.

As I was scrolling through my recent messages my iPhone 3GS suddenly removed all the contact names from the list of messages and replaced them with their corresponding phone numbers. All I was doing was scrolling through the message list... no settings were changed. After this happened I checked my contacts list, and everything appears to be intact there. However, my phone app also no longer shows the contact name, but just the phone number. Turning the device off then on did nothing. How could this happen as I'm using the device, without me changing any settings on the phone. It makes absolutely no sense at all!

When I do write an SMS to someone I clearly see her name but I get the reply on another thread with the phone number instead of hear name so 2 problem here, why another thread and why the phone number rather the name. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems that the E71 does not support groups like older models used to: apparently groups are listed alongside contacts, and it is no longer possible to see and search groups directly. I'd like to see my groups straight away (e.g. clients, business partners, friends, etc), open and search them, rather than finding them among the contacts. Actually, this setup misses the whole point of classifying contacts into groups! What on Earth was Nokia thinking? Is there any way around this? A firmware update or a third-party app? Also, how are contact groups managed in the N97 mini? Is it the same, or does that mobile finally allow you to see and search groups directly?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Motoactv displays the name for several artists as "Unknown Artist." The song title and album artwork appear just fine, but a lot of my music just shows up as Unkown Artist. It is also showing up on my motoactv.com page as Unkown. I sync my playlists from iTunes. My shuffle can read me the name of the artist for the same songs, and they show up correctly on my iPod touch, and in iTunes. Does anyone else have this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyway to surpass the 20 members per group limitation...I have to say this is really annoying why is it old androids phone let you have close to unlimited members per group according to your SD card storage, but not for Lumia 900
so I am thinking Nokia should mark this as a play phone not for business usage? I am quite frustrated that I got a new phone but force to use back my 5800 xpress music because most of my contacts transfer over is kinda screw up, and yes I have went to a Nokia care center and all they can reply "is a new software is like that".
The max number of persons allowed in a contact group is (as far as I know) restricted to 20 persons. This seems very low and I wonder why this restriction is applied. A limitation of 20 persons in a group is not practical.

How do I make it show what is entered in my phone book? I have tried anything I can find to try, with no luck.
I have had this phone for about 8 months and it has always showed me who in my contact list is sending me a text message. It has only shown the phone number if the person texting me is not in my contact list.A few days ago, it started showing me only the number that sent the text message. Some people numbers saved in adress book when calling to me I see, their name, but most of saved names and numbers in adress/sim book, don't show name, only number, like they aren't saved in phone book. There is no double entries in the phonebook of any of the contacts, ie there is only 1 contact per number - so it should be able to match it up.
Also, phone freezes every so often when I unlock it.
I can edit and add names to the sites and places in the Nokia Maps. For example, in the theater of my province listed as "City Theatre", but actually called "Gran Teatro de la Ciudad". I want to edit, add and edit the names as many are wrongly written and other misplaced.

2. Contacts in the Favorites group are displayed in a grid with pictures. How do I display in a list format without pictures?
Ive created a list of sub-groups for my fairly extensive contact list, but I can't figure out how to add contacts to these subgroups without having to re-enter the contact info as a "new contact". When I am at the "New Group" screen, and it asks me to "Add a Member," I click the trackball and it brings me to my contact list. Then, whether I click the trackball or the menu button on the contact, I seem unable to add a member.
Can I make contact groups on my Galaxy S5, and how do I do so?
