With some of my contacts an incoming call with a Caller ID does not display the caller's name, although they are in my Contact List and the number is in a valid format.Same is the case for sms's from the same contact.I only have one entry of that contact in my phonebook.Any 1 facing the same issue?

I have a 5800 XM with Ovi Maps v 3.03. Is it possible to make the street names larger in size? The street names are only 1 milimeter in height in both 2D and 3D view, regardless of zoom level. I am aware there is the street name you are currently on in the center top section in a larger font size, which definitely helps, but it would be nice to have the larger fonts for surrounding streets.Also, is there a way to get rid of the white bar on the right side that houses the "search" and "menu" links? The 5800's screen is already small for GPS standards, and this white bar subtracts almost 1 cm of valuable screen real-estate. It would be nice to not have the white bar and have the "search" and "menu" links stay where they are, but perhaps have a white highlight around the letters or something like that.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen someone calls me the call display shows their number and their "registered" name example: I have Kati McGee saved in my contacts with her number, but when she calls it is Katherin McGee and her number, never my saved name. When i get the message that i missed a call it comes from my contacts, as well as text messages.
How do I make it show what is entered in my phone book? I have tried anything I can find to try, with no luck.
I have a Nokia 5800 Nav Edition. I just upgraded to the new 3.03 Ovi maps. Does Ovi Maps speak out street names in the route navigation?? For me it just says "Turn right in 1 mile" .. no street name! It would be very helpful if this feature was included. Am I missing something on how to enable text to speech so that it speaks street names?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had this phone for about 8 months and it has always showed me who in my contact list is sending me a text message. It has only shown the phone number if the person texting me is not in my contact list.A few days ago, it started showing me only the number that sent the text message. I have no idea why it started this, maybe some wrong buttons got pushed while I was carrying it around in my pocket? It doesn't always lock when I close the phone, and sometimes I don't notice it when I slide the phone into my pocket.I've tried adding the number to my contact list, and it adds it just fine, but the next time I get a text from that number, only the number shows up again.This is quite frustrating, and I would like to get if fixed, does anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do to correct this?Old messages from before this started happening still show the names.I haven't had it connected to my computer since the phone was new and as far as I know, it hasn't done any software upgrades or anything like that.

Some people numbers saved in adress book when calling to me I see, their name, but most of saved names and numbers in adress/sim book, don't show name, only number, like they aren't saved in phone book. The same thing is with sms receiving. Phone is 10 days old.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad my Nokia N8 for about a year now, recently updated to Belle and I think it looks lovely but I've had so many problems since. Now this new one has started and I don't know if it's a bug that I can fix or not, randomly it loses the contact name associations when I open up the text message inbox. It just comes up with the phone numbers, the contacts are still there and when I reset the phone it goes back to normal.

There is no double entries in the phonebook of any of the contacts, ie there is only 1 contact per number - so it should be able to match it up.
Also, phone freezes every so often when I unlock it.
I have a 701. When looking at grouped sms messages I no longer see them described by users name (when the contact is in my contact list). Instead, every message is identified by the phone number. So whereas before I could easily id them now its more difficult. Anyone know how I can get the original setting back? Messaging is set to display in groups.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

I try restart it didn't help, in forums read that here may be soft problems, I have updated software, but it didn't help too. Maybe someone had the same problem. And I would like to know if I'll change lcd screen, it will solve this problem or not?

It just showed up like that and it's always when I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) that this happends and then stays.Once I got rid of it by rebooting the phone almost 10 times or turning it of a whole day but as soon as I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) it comes back.

But when I get a missed call from them, I only see the numbers and not the name of the person who called, in the missed call notification. I'm fine with the normal qwerty keypad.
