I updated ATT software, now my BMW 7 Series only displays contacts' phone numbers (in numerical order) and not contacts' names. I've done all the trouble shooting I could conjure up (already spoke to ATT/Motorola Tech/BMW), all to no avail.
View 7 RepliesCheck under Settings > iCloud to see if the Contacts switch is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, switch it off for 30-60 seconds, then back on again. Your contacts should start showing up shortly...

I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS. I have the contacts with their phone numbers in my Contacts database. But when I get a missed call from them, I only see the numbers and not the name of the person who called, in the missed call notification. Only when I click on the number and it starts to dial them, then their names appear.

Its the weirdest thing on min her phone will show all of her contacts when she goes to check her text. In a matter of less than 5 mins the names will disappear and it will just show numbers. She puts the phone down and picks it back up later and its magic her contact names will show up with the messages. At no time do the contact names disappear from her actual address book tho.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOn 1.83, a Contact will show as many phone numbers as I entered for it.But on 2.3.4, if one of the numbers is non-standard, like "*82-1-800-555-1212" (entered without the hyphens, of course), it doesn't show up under that contact. It still stores it, but I can't use it, can't dial with it, etc...Is there any way around this bugEdit: It shows up okay, if it's the *only* number for that Contact. But if there's another one (formatted normally), the non standard one doesn't show.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI own a business and having my contacts phone numbers is an abosolute necessity for me.I've noticed that after importing all my contacts from my SD card (after having setup the phone and creating a MotoBlur account, adding facebook, and a couple of email accounts) that the contacts whom had a Facebook profile, it REMOVED the phone numbers that were previously attached to the contact file.Is there a way to keep the phone from doing this? It did this to each contact that had a facebook profile that didn't have their phone number on their facebook profile.I've tried to go in and edit the contact but it tells me that you can't edit a facebook profile / contact.

The SIM had many contacts with multiple phone numbers (mobile number, house number.etc) under a single name, but when I viewed it on xperia ray , it shows duplicate names but with different numbers under the Mobile category. Is there a way to merge these names and bring all the different numbers into Mobile, House, Others etc under one name.I searched and found some answers for "Merging" but all were referring to merging different names with common phone numbers, but what I need is just the opposite. 1. i noticed that for some contacts that have 4 phone numbers and 2 emails, the phone numbers are all jamed together in one line, rather than listing them one by one. any idea how to fix it? by the way, the contacts are maitained in my google mail/contacts already.
2. how to add a voice tag to a name/contact? i found my atrix had hard time recognizing a name and always messed it up with other contacts. so i want to find a way to make it easier for the phone to recognize it when i say "Call xxx" (some especially for some non english names).

The names of contacts from iphone does not appear in the recent calls, only numbers. I think the settings are different, eg, the numbers appear in the contacts: (333) 333-3333 and the recent calls appears :3333-3333.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new phone is correctly paired with the blurtooth in my 2011 Subaru Forester and connected and worked, but does NOT auto-connect when I restart the car, I have to go into bluetooth settings on my phone, and tap the device "Car_Media" to make a connection. My previous phone worked correctly and auto-connected when I started the car.. I've fully deleted all devices and pairings from the car and the phone and re-paired the new phone several times. NG. How do I get the Atrix to auto-connect?

There is no double entries in the phonebook of any of the contacts, ie there is only 1 contact per number - so it should be able to match it up.
Also, phone freezes every so often when I unlock it.
My wife has the 8530 with Verizon. Her contact names have the wrong numbers and vice versa. Some of them have duplicate contacts with different numbers. Verizon has no idea what to do....Any suggestions? Why does this happen??

It shows the wrong number but under the name I am searching for. 3-4 times I called wrong person because my bold showed and dialed a different number for the name I am searching for. I don't know how to solve this.When I type the name of the contact I'm looking for my Bold 9000 displays the list of contacts as usual but the phone number of the contact is wrong. I have to scroll to another name on the list then scroll back to the name I was looking for in order to get the phone to display the correct phone number. I have been using this phone for quite some time and had always worked fine. This problem began yesterday. I do not sync the phone (never have, probably never will). I have not made any changes or added any software. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.
