BB Bold 9000 :: Shows Wrong Numbers Under Names In Contacts

It is showing wrong numbers when I search for contact name in the contacts. It shows the wrong number but under the name I am searching for. 3-4 times I called wrong person because my bold showed and dialed a different number for the name I am searching for. I don't know how to solve this.When I type the name of the contact I'm looking for my Bold 9000 displays the list of contacts as usual but the phone number of the contact is wrong. I have to scroll to another name on the list then scroll back to the name I was looking for in order to get the phone to display the correct phone number. I have been using this phone for quite some time and had always worked fine. This problem began yesterday. I do not sync the phone (never have, probably never will). I have not made any changes or added any software. The only thing I have done recently is added more contacts.I have also noticed that it is slower than usual when searching for names and it takes a long time for it to recognize that I have typed more charcters in the contact name before updating the list of results.
My wife has the 8530 with Verizon. Her contact names have the wrong numbers and vice versa. Some of them have duplicate contacts with different numbers. Verizon has no idea what to do....Any suggestions? Why does this happen??
I cannot seem to find a way to remove the default synchronizing email address that has been saved onto my BlackBerry 9700.It shows a email address that I have deleted from my BlackBerry. There are no options to put my current email address as the synchronizing email.
I recently purchased an xperia ray to which I moved my old SIM from SE K700i. The SIM had many contacts with multiple phone numbers (mobile number, house number.etc) under a single name, but when I viewed it on xperia ray , it shows duplicate names but with different numbers under the Mobile category. Is there a way to merge these names and bring all the different numbers into Mobile, House, Others etc under one name.I searched and found some answers for "Merging" but all were referring to merging different names with common phone numbers, but what I need is just the opposite. If there is already a discussion and solution to this , please give the reference.
Check under Settings > iCloud to see if the Contacts switch is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, switch it off for 30-60 seconds, then back on again. Your contacts should start showing up shortly...
The names of contacts from iphone does not appear in the recent calls, only numbers. I think the settings are different, eg, the numbers appear in the contacts: (333) 333-3333 and the recent calls appears :3333-3333.
All my contacts disappeared, they arent in my contacts. The ones left in my favourites and in my messages only display the numbers. I have tried a lot of things and nothing has worked. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, almost at the point of ditching apple. (I have a 4s)
So Im new to the site and am in desperate need of a solution to keep the peace at my house. Its the weirdest thing on min her phone will show all of her contacts when she goes to check her text. In a matter of less than 5 mins the names will disappear and it will just show numbers. She puts the phone down and picks it back up later and its magic her contact names will show up with the messages. At no time do the contact names disappear from her actual address book tho.
My IPhone4S occasionally changes names on received mail to telephone numbers, it also deletes any names that were in Contacts - if I change an email back to a name that Contact is not lost
I have been experiencing an interesting issue since I upgraded to the official 5.0 OS for my 9000. I have my profiles set to play tone A for emails and tone B for SMS messages. (Tone A and Tone B are just generic tones preloaded on the BB for the sake of the explanation - I doubt the particular tone I have set is causing an issue). this worked fine with my older OS, but since the upgrade I have been experiencing random times when the tones will actually revert to tone C (which sounds like BBPro_Sanguine for the record). This occurs without any predictable pattern as a replacement for either tone A or tone B. Sometimes I can go a day without this issue, but the next day I may notice this Tone C alerting me for hours until it reverts back to the proper tone (either A or B depending on if the alert is for an email or SMS), and I have absolutely nothing to do with it reverting to the proper tone. I have tried a battery pull, but the problem persisted.
My sister by mistaked load the wront backup on her Bold 9000. Now the phone took the PIN, BBM contacts, Phone contacts, theme, emails, everything and it look like a totally different phone with non of ther stuff except the things on the media card.How can I reverse this? I don't have a backup since it seems that I got replaced. Im on OS 5.0.0.411
When I access the call log from the main screen, highlight a call and select view history, the date displays wrong. Even if I just made a call, hang up and view the log, it shows the date as the next day. Example: Made a few calls last night (Mar 08), then had to report date and time; after all calls made, viewed call log to get times and showed calls made on Mar 09. However, if I go to Messages / View Folder / Phone Call Logs, the dates are showed correctly. Any idea why this is?
I have very strange problem with my Blackberry phones ( Bold 9900 and Torch 9800) - when somebody is calling me , I see the number, but I cannot see the name. I am sure that I do not have duplicate contacts - two contacts and one phone number.
I am having the same issue as covered in lots of threads before. when i try to turn my phone on (pluged in to the wall charger) it just shows the red led for about 10 seconds and switched to white screen with battery thunder bolt symbol in the middle for abotu 10 seconds and then it repeats over and over again. but my phone does something ive never seen talked abotu on here.
When my red led is on the phone is making this weird noise. kinda sounds like fan comin from the phone. and itll only make the noise on the second time around. any suggestion on the noise and what i can do???? i have gotten a new battery, tried the battery pull, and ive waited 2 days and tried again no luck.
My call log (Bold 9000) has recently started only logging missed calls.There is no record of received or dialed numbers.I'm sure I didn't change anything to make it start doing this.I have tried going into Options, Call Logging and ensuring 'none' is selected for showing in the Message List.Is there a fix for this?
I know there is no way in contacting blackberry support without paying with money i dont have.. I received a text from a contact and it was another contact who had sent the text! Now when my wife texts me, it comes through showing its from my son....after viewing message details, the number is my wifes, although if i reply it goes to my son! I'm using chomp and up to now have had very few problems with it. Is it my phone or the app?
I don't know why is this happening but when someone calls me his number shows up rather than his/her name. and yes, i do have the person in my contacts this happens only on some contacts, some work fine, i don't know why my contacts got all ported from my simcard to phone card from old sonny erricson and appear just fine in contact book.
I just lost some of my contact names while texting. Some are still there while others show just their numbers now and not their names anymore. What's up with that? I did a hard reset And it still didn't fix the problem. It's been updated and also sync.Texting and contacts
After rebooting my phone last night all the existing messages and phone logs show only the numbers and no names or photos. When I go into the contacts I can see the contacts and numbers but there is no link between the contacts and the messaging or phone app. Â I have checked and the filter setting are correct. All accounts are syncing ok too. Â Phone is running v5.0.2
I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS. I have the contacts with their phone numbers in my Contacts database. But when I get a missed call from them, I only see the numbers and not the name of the person who called, in the missed call notification. Only when I click on the number and it starts to dial them, then their names appear.
My iphone displays text messages with the contact number and not name even though they are recorded in my contacts. When I click on the message it then displays the senders name but going back to texts in general it shows their number again.
I updated ATT software, now my BMW 7 Series only displays contacts' phone numbers (in numerical order) and not contacts' names. I've done all the trouble shooting I could conjure up (already spoke to ATT/Motorola Tech/BMW), all to no avail.
