Atrix is no doubt fast and an a great contester to any smartphone, I have no issues with it, except being in Australia. We space the dialed numbers differently..how to remove or adjust the dashes between numbers?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am in a call, the dialer stays on like I have set it to. However, it intermittently refuses to accept the tones. For example, with AT&T VM, it says press 7 to delete the message. I press 7, the phone makes the tone associated with 7, but doesn't do the action associated with 7. It will do it with other phone trees too, like "press 1 for English", etc. The numbers that don't work vary as well, and sometimes it works fine.

I Have one favorite and it seems to be me from my google+ account. I can find no way to add favorites to this screen even though i have favorites in my contacts menu on the phone.Anyone with a car dock have any luck with this feature?I have tried creating new contacts and modifying existing ones. I noticed that the issue is solved after uninstalling whatsapp. When I reinstalled whatsapp from the play store, it installed version 2.12.176, but I instantly got the update for 2.12.242 which was the version I had before. The issue came back after 30 minutes of use..

I've just moved from the HTC oneX to Nexus5 running 4.4.4. On the HTC, autocomplete suggested all dialed or received numbers, not just those in my address book. I can't seem to find this function on the Nexus. I can't see anywhere to activate it in the Settings.
All in, very dissatisfied with the built-in dialer. HTC was much better. I would have expected Google to have given the best for their own phone, but this appears to not be the case.
On 1.83, a Contact will show as many phone numbers as I entered for it.But on 2.3.4, if one of the numbers is non-standard, like "*82-1-800-555-1212" (entered without the hyphens, of course), it doesn't show up under that contact. It still stores it, but I can't use it, can't dial with it, etc...Is there any way around this bugEdit: It shows up okay, if it's the *only* number for that Contact. But if there's another one (formatted normally), the non standard one doesn't show.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI own a business and having my contacts phone numbers is an abosolute necessity for me.I've noticed that after importing all my contacts from my SD card (after having setup the phone and creating a MotoBlur account, adding facebook, and a couple of email accounts) that the contacts whom had a Facebook profile, it REMOVED the phone numbers that were previously attached to the contact file.Is there a way to keep the phone from doing this? It did this to each contact that had a facebook profile that didn't have their phone number on their facebook profile.I've tried to go in and edit the contact but it tells me that you can't edit a facebook profile / contact.

1. i noticed that for some contacts that have 4 phone numbers and 2 emails, the phone numbers are all jamed together in one line, rather than listing them one by one. any idea how to fix it? by the way, the contacts are maitained in my google mail/contacts already.
2. how to add a voice tag to a name/contact? i found my atrix had hard time recognizing a name and always messed it up with other contacts. so i want to find a way to make it easier for the phone to recognize it when i say "Call xxx" (some especially for some non english names).
Why is this happenning? I am facing lot of problems in my SE Neo V mobile. I updated my phone officially last week. The problems are serious and so irritating. The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files.This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my Sony Z3+ just for ten days. I didn't inspected it very well when I bought it. I just use it as phone. But today I wanted to make photos of some importance to me and I got just green photos. you can see the view below. When I take the photo, I can see her just fine, but when it is saving, it become green. The video recording works and saves just fine (the only "alive" view in the picture below).
The second issue that I have is youtube movie look. They are not of clean view, there are rectangular dashes moving on the screen all the time.
I also couldn't connect to the new secured wifi network today. I opened the wifi connection put the password but the button to save the connection was inactive. I could just close the window...

I assume it's from a recent app but have uninstalled several and can't figure it out. It's a Nexus 5 with Marshmallow and Nova, not rooted. (see screenshot)
I have TWO Moto VCast Icons (that can't be moved) on my 1st screen and no phone dialler icon at all will you stop working so hard at screwing up my phone? How can I lose at least one of the two (preferably BOTH) VCast icons and get my dialer icon back? (I've done a power down.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else have problems with the dialer not responding? I have issues as well with links not responding, same issue I believe but to the dialer first. On occasion I will try to make a phone call and when I press on the person I want to call it will highlight but not dial. I can do this over and over again with just the name highlighting for like thirty times. Then all of a sudden (30 seconds to 3 minutes later) all the phone calls will try to go through and I can hear the persons (usually my wife) voicemail and ringing at the same time. As for the links, it's a similar issue. I will click on a link and it will highlight but will not do anything. Usually when this happens I have to click it three or four times before it registers and the link is followed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAnything to do with dialing, I'll touch the contact I want to dial and it will take up to 20 seconds for the phone to resond. Other times, I'll end up touching the contact twice and by the time it connects, the phone is asking me to merge calls..I'm running 2.2.1 OTA, I'm rooted, but have not made any changes, no ROM's, pretty straight forward. I just took the phone in to a VZW store a few weeks back and they did a full reset on it. Can the dialer cache get full?

I can clear the recent calls with no issue, but that 3rd tab, favorites, I am unable to make those go away or reset.
I am not able to understand the behavior of photons stock dialer application. Say I have 3 gmail contacts with phone numbers listed in order mobile first and Home afterwards:

To dial Mike from the Dialer, i key in 6453, Its brings up Mike with Home number
To dial Dan from the Dialer, i key in 326, Its brings up Dan with Mobile number
To dial Tim from the Dialer, i key in 846, Its brings up Tim with Home number
As you can see above the behaviour seems to be random. I want it to always bring up the mobile number. For this I tried couple of things below (did not work):
1. Deleted all contacts from phone and gmail and imported to gmail from csv again ensuring the order of phones listed is correct. I even verified after sync to photon that the order is mobile first and then home for all contacts.
2. Tried setting Mobile number as primary number by pressing the number under contact and setting it as primary (like for Tim above).
When I press on the Contacts tab in the dialer, the dialer crashes and the phone loses connectivity briefly and then recovers.

I know there are other dialers available, but the default ICS dialer has a people link, is it possible to dump the motorola skinned dialer and revert to the google supplied ICS dialer?
When I press the dialer icon from the home page, the screen flashes like it is trying to open the phone dialer, but nothing happens. I have tried opening the phone dialer through contacts and through the car dock. Still nothing. It just flashes open real quick and then returns to the home page. I am not looking for another dialer to download, I would just really like to get the original one working again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my second Triumph, while 1/2 of my issues were resolved because I got a replacement, the following are issues that are happening with both phones and I'm not sure if these issues will be fixed, or if there is something I can do on my end.
Phone volume - No matter what, the volume is low.... the other phone was way lower, on this one I can hear people, but its like my volume at 50% on my intercept. When the phone is being used as a phone, it sounds like the speaker is blown, on top of it being low. Speakerphone sounds ok, but still volume is low.
Bluetooth - I have tried this with 3 headsets, so its not the headset. When I connect, it will disconnect on its own sometimes reconnecting, but most of the time it doesn't. It will show the icon that it has a connection, but it doesn't (even if I turn the headset off, it still shows the icon is connected). And of course, volume, if its down to 50%, I can't hear anything.
Phone Dialer - If I try to use this to dial the phone, it sticks. So I have to press a 5, then wait for 10 seconds, then press a 2, then wait for 10 seconds, etc. Using speed dial.
WiFi - I have a strong wi-fi connection. It's a cable modem. But when I select my wi-fi, it says its connected, but I get connection errors when I try to get e-mail, go on you tube, etc. I have to restart my phone and then connect to get it to work.
I don't have much installed on the phone, and I have 893 mb remaining. I don't like my battery life getting killed, so I turn off my 3g and everything when I'm not using it and don't have apps running in the background. Battery life is lasting around 36 hours on a charge.
