anyone know of a good dialer app that's free? i have tried a few including dialer one (my current app) and go dialer but i haven't found one that has all the features and functionality i am looking for.
View 4 RepliesThis is a truly bizarre problem. Over the past few days, I am unable to download free apps. I touch the screen to install a free app, but the "accept and download" button does nothing when I touch it. However, I am able to purchase apps without any problem. My wife is having the same issue with her phone. Neither of us have installed any new apps lately, and I have tried an external hard reset with no success. This is incredibly annoying.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am in a call, the dialer stays on like I have set it to. However, it intermittently refuses to accept the tones. For example, with AT&T VM, it says press 7 to delete the message. I press 7, the phone makes the tone associated with 7, but doesn't do the action associated with 7. It will do it with other phone trees too, like "press 1 for English", etc. The numbers that don't work vary as well, and sometimes it works fine.

I Have one favorite and it seems to be me from my google+ account. I can find no way to add favorites to this screen even though i have favorites in my contacts menu on the phone.Anyone with a car dock have any luck with this feature?I have tried creating new contacts and modifying existing ones. View 10 Replies View RelatedEvery once in a while (has happened 2 times in as many weeks) the phone or dialer APP will suck battery and throw off my typical discharge time WITHOUT me ever placing a call (let alone opening the phone interface). For example, as shown in the attached, I'm down almost 70% on just 19 hours and change of use, with just 2.5 hours of screen on time, with the phone app draining 7% without any phone usage. Typically, I can make it 24+ hours with 4+ hours of screen time on that level of battery drain.
Aside from those instances, battery has been great on L. Used to get, typically, about 26 hours before charging at 25%. Now, I consistently get 29+ hours on the same usage.
I have bought new iPhone 4s and I am trying to download some free apps on my iPhone but whenever I try To install a free app first it ask for my I'd and password which I enter and then it ask for I'd and password again To pay for a free app But why shall I pay it's free Every time same problem occurs whenever I try to download any free app?

Any advice how to make it work as it's not safe to unlocked the phone while driving and make a call (though true the data of the phone is much more safer than the driver now!)
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy is this happenning? I am facing lot of problems in my SE Neo V mobile. I updated my phone officially last week. The problems are serious and so irritating. The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files.This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??

Can someone respond with an explanation (mark). Ill post pictures tomorrow, but until then you'll have to take my word for it

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have an Atrix running original FW.I also have the lapdock and do like it but REALLY need RDP and VNC clients in order to do my job (linux engineer) better!If any of the updates come out with VNC and/or RDP apps (also ssh CLI would be GREAT!) which I was hoping might be in gingerbread count me in! I use the Atrix and webtop for WORK and right now I just use the lapdock enlarged phone view and run my ssh, vnc, and rdp apps as needed from anywhere I can get a cell or wi-fi signal but the resolution and screen size could be a LOT better.Is there any chance I might see SSH, VNC, and RDP apps added to the webdock any time soon?Is there any plans to add "SPICE" protocol support any time soon for DAAS? url..

I see them in the directory .android_secure (from my PC since none of the filemanagers I have can see the directory) but I'm baffled as to how to re-install them.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I reboot my Atrix, I notice that sometimes one or two apps dont fully load. I normally reboot the phone once or twice and then they start fully. These are on my desktop. Is there a way to stop them and then restart them without fully rebooting the phone? and why does this happen? this is the only problem I have ever noticed on my Atrix and this is one of the best phones i have ever had. View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm curious where the Apps get stored on this phone. As an example - I downloaded "Droidlight" successfully from the Market, but where on this phone is it stored? I opened "Files" and see the directory structure for the internal phone storage and my external SD card, but I don't see an "Apps" directory. Manage Apps under Settings provides the option to move it to the "Media" area, but what directory is that? Would that be in the folder called "Protected Content"? Looks like "Ringtone", "Image", and "Music" are the only sub-folders in there currently.

I have owned the phone for a week and previously owned an Atrix. I have downloaded several apps and after restarting my phone some have disappeared. This was ongoing for several days and different apps. A google search shows this to be an issue with several models of Motorola phones when moving apps to the SD card or Media area. A temporary work around seems to be to keep the apps in the phones memory. Not sure this is a permanent fix because many people and I want to move their large apps to the SD card as the OS was designed.

For example, the new revision to Facebook, Skype, etc. It's not all apps, but many. I am able to go over to Amazon and install the same apps and versions, but I can't do it from the Market. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been experiencing pretty good battery life on my atrix (about 50% left after 12
hours of typical use). Then I installed a couple free games (I think it was a backgammon game and maybe some other board game). Almost immediately, I noticed a drop in battery life. I uninstalled those two games but my battery life did not improve.
I tried clearing the cache and made sure there wasn't anything causing it but ultimately I had to do a factory reset which got me back to where I was before installing those two games.
only had my Atrix2 (first Android phone) since February. One issue I have is that I thought multitasking was supported in Gingerbread? Maybe I just don't know how to use it right? I listen to a radio station stream online and I've yet to find an app that streams it as well as straight from the site, problem is is if I'm streaming it from the site I can't close the window and do other things on my phone. Also, multitasking in general seems like it doesn't really work right. I came from the "evil" that is Apple and sorry to say the multi-tasking on that platform was almost flawless.
Second concern is clunky pre-loaded apps. Specifically the messaging, music player, and camera app. The messaging app just isn't intuitive. There are far to many steps involved to include photos and things into the message. The music player, wow, where to start. It seems like more of an afterthought. Works more like a file manager than a music player. And the camera app, just seems buggy and hangs up on menus and in between taking photos. Well, we'll see if any of that improves when ICS comes out. I haven't played with any demo phones to see if the new stuff is better.
I have some forlders on the internal storage that contain mass amounts of images that are inteded to be used as data, not media. Is there a way to designate where the media app pulls its picures from?
