View 6 RepliesAtrix is no doubt fast and an a great contester to any smartphone, I have no issues with it, except being in Australia. We space the dialed numbers differently..how to remove or adjust the dashes between numbers?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have TWO Moto VCast Icons (that can't be moved) on my 1st screen and no phone dialler icon at all will you stop working so hard at screwing up my phone? How can I lose at least one of the two (preferably BOTH) VCast icons and get my dialer icon back? (I've done a power down.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else have problems with the dialer not responding? I have issues as well with links not responding, same issue I believe but to the dialer first. On occasion I will try to make a phone call and when I press on the person I want to call it will highlight but not dial. I can do this over and over again with just the name highlighting for like thirty times. Then all of a sudden (30 seconds to 3 minutes later) all the phone calls will try to go through and I can hear the persons (usually my wife) voicemail and ringing at the same time. As for the links, it's a similar issue. I will click on a link and it will highlight but will not do anything. Usually when this happens I have to click it three or four times before it registers and the link is followed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running a stock rom on my GS6 and since yesterday, when I had to call someone I noticed that I have duplicate phone numbers for each contact, but only when I type a contact's name using the T9 function of dialer. If I go to contacts, everything is fine.
I noticed that the issue is solved after uninstalling whatsapp. When I reinstalled whatsapp from the play store, it installed version 2.12.176, but I instantly got the update for 2.12.242 which was the version I had before. The issue came back after 30 minutes of use..

Anything to do with dialing, I'll touch the contact I want to dial and it will take up to 20 seconds for the phone to resond. Other times, I'll end up touching the contact twice and by the time it connects, the phone is asking me to merge calls..I'm running 2.2.1 OTA, I'm rooted, but have not made any changes, no ROM's, pretty straight forward. I just took the phone in to a VZW store a few weeks back and they did a full reset on it. Can the dialer cache get full?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this yesterday. In using Google Maps 5.6.0, I pressed on a place (local Pizza joint), selected the phone number, and the dialer comes up, but it does not populate with the phone number. Using the tab to call also does not populate the dialer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently digging my Razr M, but one small thing is driving me nuts, I am unable to figure out how to clear the 'favorites' in the dialer.
I can clear the recent calls with no issue, but that 3rd tab, favorites, I am unable to make those go away or reset.
When I press on the Contacts tab in the dialer, the dialer crashes and the phone loses connectivity briefly and then recovers.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently received ICS on my Droid 4. The new dialer doesn't have any method of getting to your contacts. Why? How can such a basic feature be ommited? This is a PHONE right?
I know there are other dialers available, but the default ICS dialer has a people link, is it possible to dump the motorola skinned dialer and revert to the google supplied ICS dialer?
When I press the dialer icon from the home page, the screen flashes like it is trying to open the phone dialer, but nothing happens. I have tried opening the phone dialer through contacts and through the car dock. Still nothing. It just flashes open real quick and then returns to the home page. I am not looking for another dialer to download, I would just really like to get the original one working again.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've just moved from the HTC oneX to Nexus5 running 4.4.4. On the HTC, autocomplete suggested all dialed or received numbers, not just those in my address book. I can't seem to find this function on the Nexus. I can't see anywhere to activate it in the Settings.
All in, very dissatisfied with the built-in dialer. HTC was much better. I would have expected Google to have given the best for their own phone, but this appears to not be the case.
*#*#4636#*#* doesn't work in the dialer like other moto phones I've tried. How do I get this to work? I just want my phone to stay on WCDMA only....
View 11 Replies View RelatedOn my droid turbo I have my contact list on the contacts icon on the main screen. In the phone dialer contacts list I have my wife's contact list that comes up. I can't figure out how to change that to my contacts lost.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way to put the shortcut that takes you directly to the dialer in the bottom four icons? There is the one shortcut that you can put in the bottom four can take you to the dialer (as long as the dialer was the last thing you used) or to your contacts (if that was the last thing you used). The one I would like to be able to put on the bottom is the dialer shortcut that can take you to the dial pad no matter what. I can put that shortcut anywhere but in the bottom four. Does anyone know of a way to put the shortcut to the direct dialer down on the bottom without having to use something like launcher pro or ADW?
View 5 Replies View RelatedA week ago I went to make a phone call hit the icon on my home page without looking to see it had been replaced with the Kindle app icon..and of course...opens the Kindle app. Now, in order to make a phone call...I have to open my contacts, press the dialer, and then make the call. A lot of extra effort for a phone call when the main function of the phone is making phone calls.
maybe I should just wait another two weeks and go buy an iPhone. Renewal is just around the corner.
Every once in a while (has happened 2 times in as many weeks) the phone or dialer APP will suck battery and throw off my typical discharge time WITHOUT me ever placing a call (let alone opening the phone interface). For example, as shown in the attached, I'm down almost 70% on just 19 hours and change of use, with just 2.5 hours of screen on time, with the phone app draining 7% without any phone usage. Typically, I can make it 24+ hours with 4+ hours of screen time on that level of battery drain.
Aside from those instances, battery has been great on L. Used to get, typically, about 26 hours before charging at 25%. Now, I consistently get 29+ hours on the same usage.
My Xperia Z3 Dual with KitKat had 2 buttons on the dialer app, one for dialing with SIM#1 and one for dialing with SIM#2. Now with the Lollipop update the dialer app no longer has this 2 buttons, and when I dial a number and then tap on the "send/dial" button it does not ask me to choose the SIM I want to use, it automatically uses SIM#2.
When I tap on a contact a pop-up window ask me to choose the SIM card, but when I dial from the T9 pad this doesn't happen, it directly uses SIM#2.
Odd, one of our Droid1 phones just started to not ring only from other cell calls - the ringer works perfectly from landline calls. We have checked every setting we can think of - rebooted - pulled battery - nothing reinstates the ringer from cell numbers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm probably just blind, but where is the setting (If it's still there) in the contact lists to have it only display contacts with a phone number? Otherwise I end up with every person I email on my exchange account on my contacts list.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the things the custom ROM makers all do is to implement a change to the stock system to enable the battery status to be reported in 1% increments, rather than 10% as at present. They also change the battery icon set so that the correct % charge remaining is displayed in the battery in the status bar.Why doesn't Moto implement this change in their next update? It would be a welcome change to every user, and it might slightly mollify those calling for an unlocked bootloader. (Though after the glitches I've seen in this update I'm on the unlock-the-bootloader side myself.)
View 12 Replies View RelatedHas anyone run across Phone #'s failing to be saved? I'm not using anything but the stock directory. I get a phone call or make a call then go to the recent list and go through all the steps to save new contact, including "SAVE" as the last step and the next day it is not there. It is still in the recent calls list but without a name. It happened last week and I was sure I did it right but this week it happened again and I was thinking about last week so I know I "SAVED" as the last step. Does it make a difference if I go "Back" or just go straight to "Home" when finished?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid2 Global which has stopped all audio to selected phone numbers. The calls connect OK but there is no audio at all. No ringing, and no voice in either direction. I know it is my phone as it is now happening on 2 phone numbers. All connections, both incoming and outgoing are affected. Speaker, bluetooth will not work. I do not have a wired option to test the 3.5mm jack. I've factory reset, removed the contact details, power off, ..... Others work well, just these numbers. Latest version and no updates pending.
View 3 Replies View Relatedt how to delete frequently called numbers? I had an app on GB that worked well. It is not supported in ICS.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo Im new to the site and am in desperate need of a solution to keep the peace at my house. Its the weirdest thing on min her phone will show all of her contacts when she goes to check her text. In a matter of less than 5 mins the names will disappear and it will just show numbers. She puts the phone down and picks it back up later and its magic her contact names will show up with the messages. At no time do the contact names disappear from her actual address book tho.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy is this happenning? I am facing lot of problems in my SE Neo V mobile. I updated my phone officially last week. The problems are serious and so irritating. The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files. This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??
D2G no longer gives notifications. Volume is all the way up and notifications are activated. I received notifications before Gingerbread. For those of you clamoring to get Gingerbread, be careful what you ask for; so far I'm not impressed. It almost seems as if they are using us to beta test their software.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Kit Kat, when I looked at a contact, all of the information for that contact was displayed, including multiple phone numbers. With Lollipop, contacts that have multiple phone numbers now only display one phone number and there is a "see all" button that I need to push to see the additional phone numbers. I have tried to find a setting that would make it so all of the information was displayed but can't find one. Other than downloading a new contacts app...
View 5 Replies View RelatedCar dock: 1. I would like to be able to add phone numbers to the favorites listing manually. 2. I'd love to see an option to default to car Aux audio automatically instead of speakerphone. Right now to make a call I always have to place the call and then shut speakerphone off. HD dock: I'd like to be able to automatically silence calls instead of have to go to menu and checking the box everytime.
