Got my nokia 5800, really happy. Installed Chinese as my second language on the mobile dictionary..... and the phone won't display the unicode characters. How can i get Chinese language support on my nokia?
View 6 RepliesI am a Chinese nokia user with an European version of N8 because I am in France now. Recently I've updated my n8 to symbian anna and unfortunately I cannot see Chinese text messages from my friends. All the Chinese characters become small squares. In the language settings of the phone, I can only see English, French, Spanish.....All of them are European languages. I heard that only Asian versions of Nokia can support Chinese, I don't know why Nokia carries out this god damned **bleep**ing policy but can anyone show some tips to me in how to make Chinese charaters appear again on my N8?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just started getting what looks like Chinese characters and the string 500 in Stocks on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5. No similar thing happening with DOW J and NASDAQ. I deleted and added it back using a search on ^GSPC with the same result.

I'm based in the U.K. and I'm registered with Apple as being in the UK, but I recently visited China & bought an official Apple accessory from the official Apple Store. They asked if I wanted my receipt emailed to me, which I said yes, and gave them the email address that's registered with Apple. Ever since then, I receive emails from Apple in Chinese and now when I look at the App Store or iTunes on my iPhone 4S or iPad 4, all menus are in Chinese. I've logged into my iTunes account and it says that I'm registered in the U.K.. In addition, both the iPhone & iPad, have there regions set to the U.K.. Does anyone know how I can get my account registered back to British English and/or U.K.?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E72 was bought in Hong Kong in 2009, it has built-in Simplified Chinese support (as well as Traditional Chinese and English). I can read SMS, MMS and PDF/XLS files containing Chinese characters perfectly.But when I attempt to print something, e.g. an SMS, the printed page will be messed up by a lot of block-characters (see the sample picture attached). This problem was encountered in Chinese contents only, even though these Chinese characters could be displayed correctly on the screen. I have tried this on several different printers and this issue persists on all of them. Current firmware in my phone is 081.003.240.03. I have never installed any font-changing software, and always use default settings or system fonts for the phone OS and all applications.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have been upgrade my phone (nokia 5800) by myself today. after i update my nokia 5800 from version 20 to version 40.0.005. i found that i lost my language that i have in phone. after a few hours, i get to know that, there is no chinese in version 40.0.005. So with this Post message, i would like to ask about, is there any way to get back my language pack that i have last time? because I really need Chinese in my nokia 5800,i m from malaysia here there is a lot malaysian using this phone.. i guess they might have the same problem like me in addition, i can;t get to connect to the Wifi.. after i update my version too. when i press Wifi Icon, it will give me a pop up msg, and wrote "system error" i hav b tried in "Nokia Software Updater" to keep on reinstall my Nokia 5800 software version. but still the same. because i still get the same pop up msg. So i really hope that Nokia service department will get to solve this problem as soon as posible. thank u so much.

I used to be able to read and input chinese character on my Bold 9700.Few days ago, I connected my device to the desktop manager and it prompted me to update my device os to V5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147). Ever since then, I am unable to read or input chinese characters.
I've read through the forum, did whichever I can find, and crashed my blackberry a few times as I think I loaded some 3rd party modules. I managed to wipe out the whole device and reload EastAsia pack (which I did at least 3 times) but am still unable to have my chinese characters on.
Just bought a C3-00. It only has English, Franch and Spanish (in the phone language option). How to make it display and type Chinese? The C3-00 is S40 system, only can install JAVA Apps.

I have an issue where when i load on songs that are in Chinese, some of the song names do not display in chinese (its just random symbols). However some of the songs do display correctly. I'm using my phone more than 5 months. Yesterday come back after work and saw that half of the display is in black and white stripes. I try restart it didn't help, in forums read that here may be soft problems, I have updated software, but it didn't help too. Maybe someone had the same problem. And I would like to know if I'll change lcd screen, it will solve this problem or not?
